don't stop me now
Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

When they drink they are also more often to share information.
[Meaning she was curious and wanted to see if she could learn any more about this place and it's people. Asking could open the floor for lies after all. And the pain was nothing, not in the scale of things]

[Though, he takes a moment to consider her. She's older than his X-23. But he hadn't quite figured out by how much.]
Only question is if yer drinking age or not.
no subject
[A slight headtilt, a small glance to him. She's not sure why age matters, alcohol does not really affect her, not with the healing factor. And that's speaking as if she was the type to drink]
It depends which laws this place stands by. I am under the age in America, does Luceti follow the same laws?
no subject
Nope, no laws. But you can eavesdrop another time. We're getting you a soda. And I'm getting a beer.
no subject
I do not require any drinks.

[As he pushes open the door to the bar, a familiar scent of alcohol and perspiration floods his senses. It would be awful if not the fact that was pretty much what he smelled like anyway. It was becoming as familiar as his own musk. Frankly, he wasn't too happy about that. It wasn't normal that he'd have his own seat at a bar. But here he was, taking his usual seat like he had been for a year now.]

[She slips through behind him easily. She may be his height, but she lacks his bulk, something she's been reminded of since she could walk. She's been taught to measure herself up to him and his performances until it's hard not to even as she follows him over, noting the familiarity as she takes the seat next to him. It's different though, he's a different Wolverine, she knows that much. But yet she still subconsciously mirrors him, resting her arms like he does, adjusting her posture and so on.]
no subject
[He's been noting that behavior, more than before. His own X-23, she seemed to want to be anything but like him. It's going to take some getting used to having an older one that mirrors his motions. Even if not his drinking habits. Not for the first time, he wonders how many similarities there are in her story to her counterpart. He wonders what the differences are. Maybe his counterpart did things better than he did.
It wouldn't surprise him.
He waves the bartender over and orders his usual, then turns to X-23 expectantly.]

[She watches him, studying him studying her. The recognition of her designation gave her enough to know that she exists to him in some form. But she hasn't yet felt it was time to ask how, who she was, what she was like. It's a difficult subject, even for a clone, to know that you are not the only one version of yourself. She had destroyed the other copies of herself before they could be born, and yet, it's still strange.
In response, she just stares back. She wasn't thirsty, after all.]
no subject
He waited until they were alone again.]
So, no beverage of choice. What about food?
no subject
Something with spice.
no subject
The best you'll get here is the hot wings, unless you want to experiment with some spicy cocktails.
[Not Logan, though. He likes his beer simple and unimaginative.]
no subject
The wings will do.
[Conversation however, is hard to get from her and she goes back to simply sitting, waiting]
no subject
And then, of course, there's conversation. Usually he's the one that has to be prodded into talk, which makes for a very silent conversation. On the upside, he doesn't feel awkward enough to need to say anything.]
no subject
So she waits for him to move, watching him before looking around the bar, studying faces and filing away minute details just in case they become important]
no subject
But then the hot wings came and the first thing Logan did was filch one from her basket.]
Not bad. Had better, though.
no subject
The stolen hot wing is let go without a hint of irritation, Laura slowly taking one, sniffing and then biting into it]
... They could be spicier.
no subject
[All the same, he licks his fingers clean of the sauce so he can return to his drink.]
no subject
...Madripoor had interesting foods. [Does this Wolverine even know Madripoor? Oh well.] There was many different tastes, many strong tastes. I liked it.
[But still, she'll take another wing]
