Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3...
[The voice that comes over the journal sounds...decidedly anxious. Certainly unhappy, confused, and generally out of his element. Giles has never done well under such circumstances, never done well with sudden changes of environs, especially when that change was a dark, dingy back room of a crumbling mansion to a cozy little village in the bright, if cold, sunlight.]
Right. This is, um, certainly new. Well done. Pleasant looking and, at the least, not outwardly mad.
I, um, I c-can't say that I see why you're bothering, of course. You've, y-you've got what you want. If you aren't going to let me go, then I'm sure you could think of...s-something else, at least.
I can wait. I, um, I h-have nothing but time, now.
[Anyone wandering by Good Spirits...well, the New Feather stuck on the roof might catch your eye. He's eyeing the drop to the ground with some wariness, but all the windows are closed with the bar traffic slowed down by the early afternoon. Without assistance, he will just try and fall, and with his new wings that will hurt a very great deal. By then, however, he'll have discovered that the telephone that just happens to look like a book has a map attached, and a guide, and from there he'll set about wandering about the plaza.
Maps are logical, reasonable, rational things. It seems to even match up to his general environs. It's a positive sign, although it's a positive sign pointing to a solution possibly even more insane than the idea that Drusilla is still tormenting him.]

[Voice]
And she can't think of any of them. All she can think of is Helios, Grune, how they'll react to him not remembering them. Buffy has it easy, they at least know each other and she can ease him into everything.
"Find Buffy. She'll tell you everything."
She almost wants to say that, close the journal and wait it all out, but she could never do that. Not to anyone, especially not Giles. The man she tirelessly patrolled for every night, holding onto the tiny flame of hope the Malnosso would bring him back. The man she still loved with every broken fiber of her being. She couldn't do that to him, not her lover, her best friend.
It still takes her awhile to find her voice again, to temper down all her sadness and anger.]
Thank you. Rupert is a nice name too. Exceptionally strong.
Um... where are you right now?
Re: [Voice]
Y-You're, um, f-far too kind.
And, a-and you ask that as though you, um, can't already see.
[Voice]
There should be a journal around you, nearby. That's... that's what you're hearing me from.
Re: [Voice]
But, picking it up and examining it proves otherwise. He can make out the words displayed on the pages well enough, but everything else...]
It's...rather like a telephone, isn't it?
["Like a computer, only more you-friendly."]
[Voice]
So as you can see, I can't actually tell where you are. But if you let me know, I can help you.
Re: [Voice]
[It's no name of any place that he knows, but...well, there are a lot of places in the world, and he hasn't traveled half as much quite yet.]
I-I'm, um...on a roof. Don't know which roof in particular. There's, um, a fountain down below me, though. If, i-if that helps.
[Voice]
Re: [Voice]
[Then, because even talking to her is setting off some serious alarm bells...]
...you don't have to come, you know. I, I-I can find a way down.
[Voice]
Helping you now is the least I can do.
[A door opens then closes and the sound of running feet can be heard. The joys of House 44, not far from the village plaza at all. With his vantage point, and if he's watching the path to the northeast, he'd probably see her approaching.]
Re: [Voice]
The sincerity in her voice, however, stops her from saying anything more than a quiet "Th-Thanks" before she leaves. Ginia will probably spot Giles, first, standing at the edge of Good Spirits and looking as though he's seriously considering jumping.]
[Action]
Everything goes out the metaphorical window when she sees him up on the roof. It's only two stories, but it's still two stories down.]
Hey! [She calls out to him, voice cracking a little as she runs fast. She channels Kipinn's power as her speed doubles, the wind literally at her back. The boost is enough for her to race across the plaza, get a good leap off the wall of the building, and propel her almost effortlessly to the rooftop. Ginia stops a moment to catch her breath before she forces herself to look at him.]
...It really is you.
Re: [Action]
G-Good lord...
[Action]
Sorry, sorry, didn't mean to scare you. But... um...
[Her composure cracks slightly and she laughs, reaching up to wipe tears from her eyes.]
Let's get down from here. We can, um, get you some clothes and food and I'll try to explain everything.
Re: [Action]
[Then Giles catches himself, almost immediately sobering. She almost had him.] I-I'm, um, assuming that the normal rules still apply and falling from this height will at least hurt. H-How do you propose I get down, then?
[Action]
She realizes she's staring slightly and quickly glances away.] I believe you. I believe all you've seen.
[She walks toward the edge of the roof and peers down, making a few calculations in her head. After training with Pao-Lin, she's learned how to use magic to control her fall speed. She's not sure if there's enough in her to slow down two people, but it's better than nothing.
She takes a small step in to him and offers a gentle smile.]
Hold onto me, I should be able to cut down our falling with Kipinn's magic. Um, using air to create a cushion that'll make the impact a lot less.
Re: [Action]
All in a rush, as though he has to get the words out before it's too late.]
I don't trust you, a-and I don't really believe any of this is, is happening. Y-You, you haven't deceived me. Not again.
[Action]
...No. You're right, you don't have any reason to trust me, and this is all far too much for anyone to take in.
But I'm not going to leave you up here either. At least let me help you down. Then... [Her voice catches and she swallows, taking a deep breath to steady herself.] I can help you to people who you know, who can explain everything to you.
Re: [Action]
...and, even if there was, I certainly wouldn't wish to see them now.
[His gaze ticks towards the edge of the roof again. If he jumped, would that wake him up? It couldn't be that much different from a dream, could it?]
What do you think is happening?
[Action]
What is happening is you have been brought to a place called Luceti via an organization called the Malnosso. This is not the first time you've been brought here, the third actually, so I should warn you now there will be many people you don't know contacting you because they are concerned and you have been missed.
The journal next to you has a guide that explains everything. You don't have to believe it now, I wouldn't expect you to, but it's the truth.
Re: [Action]
Again, Giles' eyes flicker to the edge of the roof, and then back to Ginia. Even so, slowly and hesitantly, he nods.]
...all right.
[He approaches, gingerly taking her arm in preparation for whatever is going to happen for the landing.]
[Action]
A rushing of wind can be heard as she forms a tunnel of sorts below them. Ginia holds onto him as she pulls him off the roof, the wind catching them and whipping past their clothing and bodies, pressing up under them as they fall, disappearing at the last foot to drop them down to the ground.]
Re: [Action]
The ground meets his feet as though they stepped off a front porch. For a second, Giles is just too lost in looking back up at the roof, down at the ground, around at a village he hasn't yet seen from ground level.]
...good lord.
[Action]
Are you all right? I hope it wasn't the first time, I've never tried that with two people before. [She takes a few steps to lean against the building. Oh, beautiful solid wall, how wonderful you are.] Um, give me a moment to catch my breath, then we can... I can... help you find your way?
Re: [Action]
Manipulating the elements does tend to be a bit of, um, an erratic process. I'm s-sorry to have put you to so much effort, um, on my account.
[Action]
If you're hungry, we're right across from the restaurant. Seventh Heaven. [Where we first ate together.] O-or there's the tea house above the Welcome Center. [Where you used to help out.] The clothing store isn't too far away either. I can... I can explain more no matter where we go.
[Because now that they're here, even if she said she would help to someone he would know, she finds she can't bear to leave his side or let him go out of sight.]</small. Whatever... whatever you want.
