Test Flight!
Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Once he's down on solid ground, Haru slides out of Birdy's arms. The flight had been freezing for him; the wind had been especially cold given he'd just come out of the water and really isn't wearing much at all.]
...Thanks.
[--Though he immediately looks away, as if he doesn't really want to give it. But a breeze comes by, inducing an involuntary shiver and a frown.]
no subject
Tch. What were you thinking, being out here like this? It's dangerous.
[You crazy kids!!!]
no subject
Sorry.
[--though he doesn't look reproachful at all.]
Why were you out here?
no subject
[Translation: He's mostly bored, since he's not needed here to stop heists, or to investigate the Hige Hige Bandits, or to eke out a living as an underappreciated taxi driver. And with a pair of wings that actually let him take flight, he's well-suited to being out in the wild.]
no subject
I'll head back.
[To the village that is. He got through the forest fine on his own, so it should be safe enough for him to return on his own, at least so he thinks, despite the fact that this time, Haru doesn't have shoes or a shirt on his back. It doesn't even occur to him to ask for a lift from the bird man.
Still, before he turns away, he casts one longing, lingering look back at the river they'd left behind.]
no subject
Did you leave something? I can get it for you.
[Bears or no bears.]
no subject
But Haru shakes his head.]
It's not important. They're just clothes.
[He can always get new ones.]
no subject
You're going to get sick like this. Wait here.
[And he takes off again with a flap of his wings.]
no subject
...
......
Losing interest in waiting, Haru starts walking back to the village. He won't have travelled that far, though.]
no subject
Oi! Aren't these yours?
[ -- as he swoops in and touches down not far behind the boy.]
no subject
At the sound of the familiar voice, however, Haru turns, mildly surprised that Birdy had returned so soon. He blinks -- by now, he's dry, albeit cold -- before reaching for his clothes, expression lightening... marginally.]
Thanks.
[Though it's accompanied by a sneeze.]
no subject
Do you know how to get back to the village?
no subject
I was walking back before, wasn't I? But he keeps that annoyed thought in his head, and keeps his expression impassive.]
I do.
[It's not far. Pants go on over his swimming jammers, yes. Haru straightens and looks down at his rescuer and retriever of stray laundry, his next words curt.]
I can make it back on my own.
[So there's no need to worry; he can take care of himself, really. Bears don't count.]
no subject
[And without so much as a "farewell" or even "take care," Birdy turns and flies off, because who needs proper conversational etiquette.]
