Test Flight!
Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

You know, the one thing the Earthlings teach in their ridiculous and otherwise horribly boring driving classes is defensive driving. Maybe you should have taken a lesson in that.
[Yes, he endured that because Bulma made him. Is this girl even old enough to drive? He doesn't know but he thinks she'll get the reference anyway.]
no subject
Defensive... What?
[Well, she switched from anger to confusion at least. For a moment.]
no subject
Driving. You know, a car? Yours might have wheels, mine does not. [His is a dark hover car! And it's a convertible! The one that Baby-infested Gohan blew up R.I.P]
no subject
A car? Do you mean a horse-drawn cart?
[What would 'defensive driving' have to do with that? The only reason why a cart would need to be 'defensive' is against a bandit or something, but what would that have to do with driving it? The concept doesn't make sense to her at all...]
ASK ME TO BITE YOU AND I MIGHT
If it wasn't Vegeta that might have been kinky.
I will have you know that I am a smithy! I forge metal into the best weaponry Marblesea has ever had the honor of partaking! Of course I know what metal is!
oh my god i didn't even realize lolol
[Because if she can, she's of use to him. Good.]

She sighs, seeming a bit saddened at the words.]
Had I a forge, I would have been more than happy to 'prove it'. It is impossible without the means to do so.
[Well, she could with her powers but... She wasn't certain that she wanted to reveal that to this buffoon. Not over a stupid fight, even if the need to prove herself was hard to ignore. That's about when she retakes her seat - in time to finally get her ordered drink and simply holding it for the warmth at the moment.]

[He does hope she's a good swordsman/woman. He really could use more people like that for his own needs.]
no subject
[Wait a minute did he just say there was one? She sets down her drink before she can event take a sip, her eyes a little wider than they were as she gets to her feet.]
Show me to one.

[Somehow, she doesn't like the sound of that. And that shows to her face.]
And just what are your terms?
yep forgot to mention to you that he actually has one with him during training
[He's actually got a blade strapped to his back a-la Mirai Trunks style, which he unsheathes and hands to her for inspection. The markings on it would indicate it was made by a god from modern day Earth, Ho-Musubi, the Forge's Hammer, a gift from a divine friend of his who was related to this god.]
I'm willing to bet you couldn't come near this level of craftsmanship.
Haha whoops~ He had to make that mistake.
If I may inspect it.
XD
[So he'll hand it right over to her. If she does try anything, he'll take care of business as far as he's concerned.]

[She huffed a bit at that, shooting him a look before she lifts the sword from his hands almost reverently. Her fingers, calloused from their work at the forge, gently slide over the sword's flat and fuller before she inspects the tip, then the hilt. Finally she holds it to feel its balance, taking a couple of test swings and going through some more simple maneuvers that she could do without damaging the tavern's interior or patrons.
It takes her a bit before she hands it back hilt-first to Vegeta, a soft sigh leaving her as she shakes her head.]
I am afraid I cannot match such craftsmanship. Whether it is the ore used or the method of creation I cannot say, but I am not skilled enough to create its equal as of yet.
no subject
Well, that's unfortunate! I guess you'll just have to find the forge yourself. [He re-sheathes his sword, smirking.] ...Since sub par is the best you can do.
no subject
Very well. Take care not to slip again on the way out.
[Now she was in a foul mood, wanting to take out her frustration on hot metal - even if it was tempting her to take it out on his face instead.]
no subject
And make sure you open your eyes. See that rather large building over there? [He points straight at it, across the way.] That over there is the smith. It's quite hard to miss. You're welcome. [He's made sure that his cheeky little grin hasn't subsided, of course.]
no subject
I did not ask for aid.
[That's before she makes her way over to see if the forge is even worthy of being used. And if there is metal she can work with there, for that matter. It will take time, but at least she can get started - hopefully without seeing that irritating man ever again.]
