[There aren't many paintings District 11. The sketches in the worn textbooks in school, crude drawings in the ground, those are the things Rue sees. Paintings are for richer people, for Capitol citizens.

It's a strange thing seeing a painting of yourself. They're beautiful paintings. She reaches out to touch it, but stops, afraid to damage it or ruin the moment captured in paint.

Rue stretches out her wings, bright yellow like her namesake. Without a word, she presses the three middle fingers of her right hand to her lips and holds them out.
