Hey, wing folks on the network, get a load of this!
[The video shifts from a grinning Howard, to a stack of root beer soda cans. Only they aren't just any soda cans. Upon closer inspection (and don't worry he moves the journal around just so everyone can see it) there is a clear image of Howard's image on the cans of soda. Yes. Howard Stark has his image on soda cans.]
I don't know who used my image without my express permission first, but I have to say they didn't do a half bad job. They even caught my good side - course it's all good. I would have to question their decision to make my tie yellow, but it isn't that big a flaw to overlook the grand image. Plus, how many men can say they have ever had their image plastered onto one of these? Not many, I know for sure.
[He sets the journal down for a moment, the camera put to focus on the cans, and the distinct sound of a can popping open can be heard. Howard picks up the journal again after taking a sip and grins.]
Not like the real thing at all really, but it has a tangy taste to it. Who wants one, on me? Put it on your shelf after you're done, it could be worth something if you can sneak it out of here.

...That should not be his first reaction to this. But alas.]
Yeah, recycling plant might give you a whole point-five of a cent for one of those. A real collectors item. To be sure.

Maybe Luceti just doesn't carry them. They seem to be low in stalk of the things people really want. [Cars, women, root beer cans with his face for starters.]

In the meantime, you can have one of mine.

Think I'll pass--never been huge root beer fan myself. But if see one lying round, I'll make sure it gets tossed in the recycling bin. Love the earth, and all. It might become dinner foil someday.

Or maybe scrap metal for one of my inventions. Pretty good cycle right there. I don't blame you -- between you and me, it's a bit too sweet for my liking. Pop isn't really good for you anyway, but it's the thought that counts of course.
no subject
Oh, of course. We wouldn't want those dear soda manufacturing corporations to go feeling under-appreciated now, would we?
no subject
They got enough business with the kids. Maybe one of them will see this can and feel inspired to join the company! See, it's more a promotion of the company - I'm just the natural spokesperson and the man behind the force.
no subject
Are you sure that's very responsible? Maybe this particular brand is notorious for having those little metal openers dislodge in people's throats. All sorts of problems like that. It might reflect badly on you. And we wouldn't want that, would we?
no subject
That would be a problem. [He snaps his fingers.] I'll just make a more efficient can for pop based products. One that won't have any accidental dislodging metal opener accidents.

You know, you might be onto something there. In fact--I think you should focus all your attention on it. Keep soda drinkers safe, one can at a time. Don't worry about anything else.

I always got something on my mind. Pop, machinery, women, work, the usual.
no subject
Is that all? Would have thought more went on that beehive mind of yours. But I guess there's poetry in simplicity. Or however that saying goes.
no subject
Now you're just trying to mix my words and insult me. Never considered a career in politics?
no subject
Not in a million years. I want to actually be effective. Can't do that sitting in a politician's chair. I'm more of a mover-and-shaker. Do my own thing, my own way.
[Plus the feds don't really like him.]
