Player Name: Bofu
Are you new?: Y, first time jitters, etc.
Character Name: Scott Summers / Cyclops
Character Fandom: X-Men: Evolution
[With the rate that Scott's been visiting the Battle Dome since his arrival, he probably should have just moved in to the place.
The tall, lanky young man is dressed in a distinctive, blue uniform emblazoned with a gigantic, golden X. On his head, he wears a yellow visor with a red, ruby-like slot over his eyes. The wings on his back match the ruby color perfectly, standing out considerably on his back.
Scott has a serious expression on his face as he operates the command console, obviously deep in thought. His forehead has a thin sheer of sweat, making it obvious that he's been using the Battle Dome for its intended purpose. Perhaps a little too much.
He mutters to himself absentmindedly, unaware that anyone might be listening in.]
Let's see... if I recreate the Danger Room in there, is that going to tear open the time-space continuum or something?
[He looks up for a moment, his brows furrowed beneath that visor of his as he contemplates just how that would work.]
...I guess I'd better not risk it.
[And he's back at it, programming his third straight scenario. Hope nobody else was planning on using that room today.]

I APPROVE
[Ugh, after the draft which she'd had, she hoped not. All the same, it was a delicate balance trying to catch her friends up on the very real horrors of this place in order to prepare them, and also to try not to overwhelm them. Rogue wasn't very good at subtle, she figured experience would be the best teacher... but she also didn't really object to the hours Scott put in training. He'd need them, if they were drafted again. They all would.
She pointed at him with her gloved index finger and then back to herself with her thumb as she spoke.]
You, me, vending machine.
I'm glad! I saw a cast and was immediately all "yes do want."
Well, guess I can't say no to that.
[He follows her without an argument. He still has a lot to catch up on... he's been told he's been here before, but he doesn't remember any of it. Still, he trusts his friends to tell him the truth, as hard as it is to believe.]
cool! we love new people!
Good, 'cause there's this fizzy purple energy drink from another planet. [She gives him an ironic smirk.] 'One taste, an' you'll know it's out of this world.' ...no, really, it says that on the can.

Okay, now this, I have to see to believe. Have you had it before?
[Of course, he's just going to have to take her word for it on the "purple" part.]

...there is that gap of age and experience, though, that makes things even stranger every time he comes to Luceti. It was easier last time; Logan and Storm were both here. Now she still feels this strange sense of responsibility she can't shake, and it's -- ugh. She hates feeling responsible.]
Are ya kiddin'? It's out of this world.
[That... could be a yes. Or it... could be a no. She's not being very forthcoming.]
no subject
Alright, alright. I'll give it a shot.
[He selects the drink from the vending machine, making the can land in the tray with a loud thump. He bends down to pick up the can, inspecting it carefully. Sure enough, the can says exactly what Rogue said it did.]
...Well, here goes nothing.
[He pops open the can, puts it to his mouth, and takes a giant chug. Then, he stands still for a moment before a shiver runs through his body.]
Whoa, that's... pretty strong.
no subject
[Strong it is, and she doesn't usually drink it unless she's been at it a while. As Scott obviously has been.]
no subject
[He can't quite describe it. But it's kicking in quick.]
But... it's not bad. I just hope my heart doesn't start jumping out of my chest or something.
no subject
If ya can't take it, slow down. You've got the option.
no subject
Guess I'll just save the rest for later, then. Like the next time I decide to spend the whole day in the Battle Dome.
[He wasn't starting to feel winded until he stopped, after all.]

no subject
[But the point stands. She knows him so well, and now he feels a little embarrassed.]
no subject
Luceti does offer other attractions, ya know.
no subject
[He could really use the distraction. And Rogue's good company.]

...okay, not really brother-y. Not yet. But maybe! Someday!]
Why Scott Summers, are you comin' on to me? [She drawls with far more self-confidence than she possibly should, her hip jutting out slightly to the side as she rests one hand on it. And then she laughs, free and clear and unabbreviated.] Sure, I can give you the five bit tour. Might as well get some fresh air.
[She turns towards the door.]
no subject
Thankfully, she doesn't give him time to be flustered for long, and he's following her out the door.]
Uh, yeah, that's a good idea. It's starting to get a little stale in there.
