Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Thank you. I-- suppose I don't come often enough for just one bag.

[Farlan smiles at her in return. He's friendly enough, and he's more than willing to offer advice.]

The way I see it is, we should take as much as we can and store it up. You don't know when it's going to run out, or when they'll stop feeding us. Can't depend on handouts.

[Not that he ever got many handouts at home, but that's all the more reason he's wary of them.]

We should find other food sources, too...

I-- I hadn't thought of that.

[Would the people who brought them here take away their food? Would it run out?

She had to remind herself to breathe. To keep calm. Worrying wouldn't do any good. In fact, it would do quite a bit of harm if she let it.]

I... don't know much of anything about other food sources, I'm afraid.

You've got to keep in mind what these people are like. We can't trust anything they do. Sure, there's a lot of food here now, but if they want to control us or punish us, taking it away's the first thing they'd do.

[Unaware of the danger of worrying Elsa, Farlan believes it's important for people to be careful.]

Me neither. I'm from a city, and we buy food.

[He doesn't say steal food, which is what he's more likely to do. He probably would start stealing, if food became scarce, but that's something else he's not going to mention to a stranger.]

I don't know much about farming. Hunting, a little.

[If they wanted to control or punish... The thought is terrifying really. A new fear, something she hadn't even considered before. Though. No. No, she can't think about it.

Her hand clenches on the handle of her bag, and she can feel the breaking of the thin layer of frost forming there.

Nowhere to run. No way to evade the subject. She just has to try to be calm. To breathe.]

I-- I was raised in a castle. A-- handmaiden to the princess. [A lie. But a lie that keeps her safer, she thinks, than admitting she's a queen.] I never learned anything about farming or hunting.

Seriously? A castle? We have a king, but he's a real asshole. I've never seen his castle, but I'm sure he wouldn't want a piece of trash like me to get within a mile of it.

[Farlan wears the righteous glare of the oppressed for a moment, but then suddenly smiles sheepishly.]

Sorry, that was rude, wasn't it? It's not like it's your fault. It's just that people like that act like they own everybody.

[With their handmaids and their royal guard and their sumptuous feasts while they let everyone else starve.]

I was stuck underground most of the time, so I never saw a farm. But I hunted rats. And mice, and things like that. So I know how to build traps.

The royal family of Arendelle prides themselves on taking care of their people. [It's not angry. Definitely not angry. She's heard of tyrants. But there is the very sheepish need to defend her homeland. Defend her parents.] They try to make sure everyone has what they need.

[Farlan scratches the back of his head sheepishly, keeping up his apologetic smile. He's supposed to be making allies here, not offending people. It's just that sometimes, something touches a nerve.]

That's not what it's like where I'm from. The king doesn't care about people like me.

But I'm not doubting you. [Maybe he is, a little. It's just that he's never heard of authority figures behaving responsibly. Ever.] I'm not used to all these other worlds yet. But I do know that, no matter what, you can't rely too much on other people. Even if royals were trying to help you, they can't do everything.

He sounds like a terrible king. [And she means it. It isn't placating, it's sincere. That isn't how she was taught to rule. She knows there are people who will abuse their political power, but that doesn't make it acceptable.] I'm sorry you and your countryfolk have to deal with that.

[Though, a sober thought reminded her, what had she done to her country? Hadn't she hurt them all? Destroyed a summer and brought a blanket of ice? Could she really admonish someone else when that was on her?

She swallowed hard and ducked her head, breathing deeply to keep calm.]
