Test Flight Meme
Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

If she trust what's been written. She doesn't, but it's filled with so many improbabilities, her wings being one of the many, that some of them are likely to be true. )
It seemed like the thing to do.
( Nevermind that her response on day two is to do this, creating a sense of something ridiculous to grasp for in an alien landscape. Jean's presence makes her aware there's more she needs to figure out with the journal, but the way it worked wasn't intuitive, and frankly, was unsettling overall.
She eyes his horse, nothing outright speculative. Only a thought and an observation. )
What kind of place has this been to you?

It hasn't been terrible. Life here is pretty damn convenient most of the time, when we're not being "experimented" on. [More like "messed with", from what he can tell.] Or sent into battle, which hasn't happened yet.
[And in an odd way, he hates it for daring to not be purely black and white. It would be a lot easier to want to leave. He knows he has to go back eventually, but wanting to return to what is in all likelihood his imminent death gets harder all the time.]

To think of living as being convenient.
( It is forced. She and Jean aren't liable to see eye to either, literally or otherwise. Given the height disparity, it leaves Annie looking up at him, her fringe falling back toward her ears. Her nose and cheeks are turning the slow, budding red of someone exposed in the elements. Her eyes seem about as cool as the weather as she consider's Jean's face. )
The average person would consider food, lodging, and clothing to be enough to survive. Calling life convenient in a cage where you're forced to fight for the cause of another, changed on the whims of another, and taken away from everything you know to adapt to a place with new rules, new faces, and hidden motivations... if that's what you call convenient, then maybe you are an idiot here.
( She doesn't think either of them are particularly stupid. I know. It's all there is to it. )

I never said I liked it. Just that even this place has its high points, and I'm only human.
[The absence of titans (until this moment), replaced with what seems like a more manageable enemy, although he can't be sure about that yet; the worries of how to scrape the bottom of the barrel for survival, alleviated by the abundance of anything you could want; the impermanence of death. But he is well aware that the price is his freedom, something he doesn't have whether he's here or there, but there he at least has the opportunity to fight for it. Such a window hasn't opened yet here.]
