Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Once Marco's entered the store, his attention is drawn almost immediately to Petra. The uniform is what really strikes him as familiar at first glance, but once that's sunk in, he realizes her reaction to the store is familiar too. He reacted in virtually the same manner when he first arrived in Luceti. With so much food to choose from and no limitations, it can get a little overwhelming.

Survey Corps, huh? He's not even surprised anymore. After a moment's pause, he approaches Petra and springs into a salute. He's technically still a trainee, as the patch on his uniform will surely tell her, so it seems only right to treat any member of the Survey Corps as a superior. A worn notepad is wedged tightly underneath one of his arms as he salutes. It may not be evident at first, but he needs that thing to communicate right now.]

[Petra notices his approach out of the corner of her eye, turning to face him. It's obvious that he's a trainee--it's not the patches on his uniform that give it away, but the fact that he's saluting someone in the Survey Corps that wasn't obviously the Commander. It's polite, almost overly so, but it makes her smile. It's not respect she'd get from either of the other two branches, that's for sure.]

At ease, please. What is your name, cadet?

[She does take note to how closely he's carrying that notepad. a shopping list, maybe?]

[He does indeed relax his pose as soon as Petra speaks, but he still doesn't look quite 'at ease'. Being unable to talk is such a pain. Whenever he has to gesture for people to wait while he writes down a response, he feels like an idiot. Lucky for him, his name is right there on the cover of the notepad, so that's one hurdle down. He holds it up for Petra to see, a bit of a strained smile tugging at his lips.]

[It takes a moment for it to click in Petra's head--he can't speak, for whatever reason, illness or a permanent disability. Someone who'd salute like that wouldn't be so rude as to not speak if they could.]

Marco Bott. [She repeats, both as an acknowledgment and to help her remember the name.] My name is Petra Ral. Which training squad are you a part of?
