Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Levi stands behind him, carefully smoothing down some of the twisted feathers and surveys the damage. He has experience with injuries, although the wings are a different element all together. Still, he's helped set enough bones in triage to figure out what's going on now.]

This will hurt.

[with that brief warning, he moves the bone back into place and holds it before covering the injury with one hand, and concentrates. This is the hardest part, calling up the magic and getting it to do what he wants. Levi forms a clear picture in his mind, and hopes that at the very least he'll just get the wing to set and hold, maybe take some edge off the pain. He knows he can't fully heal a break yet, but it'll help.]

How does that feel?

[olfaction]

[It hurts, but Mike sits through it without complaint. His jaw tenses and his eyes widen slightly, but that's it. It hurts, yes, but comparatively, it's not so bad.]

It's better.

[He doesn't try to move it, because he can tell it's not better, but the pain is less, and he's grateful for that. Maybe he should learn some of that magic.

He's silent, briefly. That's not odd; everyone expects him to be silent. But then he speaks again, his voice soft and nearly expressionless.]

It was my fault.

[reviling]

It should still be wrapped.

[he wipes his hands on his sides, then climbs over the bench to sit next to Mike. Anyone looking at them might find the scene rather humorous, given their differences in height. But that's true of anyone Levi stands or sits next to that's got more than a foot of height on him.]

They take some getting used to.

[he glances at Mike out the corner of his eye.]

What did you do?

[olfaction]

[He nods. He's not going to refuse the medical attention, if Levi thinks it's necessary. He doesn't think anything of the height difference between them or find it comical--he takes Levi very seriously, for all that he towers over him.]

Guess so.

[He takes a moment to try to put the problem into words.]

Balance is off. Everything's off.

[He doesn't complain, but it's frustrating. He's used to having better control.]

Distracted.

[reviling]

[He turns his head this time, looking at Mike directly. There's a number of things he could be distracted about, but for Mike to be distracted, even during training, is unusual.]

About what?

[olfaction]

[Mike still doesn't complain, or sigh, or evince any emotional reaction. He does shrug, though.]

Memories.

[He doesn't think his nerves are completely shot, but they're badly shaken.]

[reviling]

[Levi is quiet for a long moment. Just one word held so much weight. Memories. In truth, he hadn't been completely sure that Mike was dead, but 'Missing in Action' in the Survey Corps was virtually the same. Remembering, knowing that he's dead and suddenly finding himself alive again, seeing people that he'd known well, seeing someone he'd fought beside for two decades, couldn't be easy.

He's not a very physical person, and as much as he trusts Mike on the battle field, Levi doesn't consider being very tactile with him. Where some people may have tried touching for comfort, he stays where he is.]

Any ones in particular?

[olfaction]

[He lets out a long, slow exhale. He's not usually one to share his feelings, except with Erwin. But he can't talk to Erwin.

Besides, what happened to him has happened to so many people. There's nothing about it that makes him special, and it seems unfair to all those others to feel sorry for himself.

He doesn't expect Levi to touch him, so he sits still, silent for another span of time.]

Didn't go well.

[This is his very descriptive accounting of events.]

I hope the kids are all right.

[reviling]

[Levi doesn't point out that obviously it didn't go well, given that Mike is dead. But he also knows that like many veterans of the Survey Corps, himself included, Mike is careful about whom he shares his thoughts with. Both of them trust Erwin more than anyone else in the world, but Mike has known him longer.

Levi's not sure which kids Mike is referring to - most of the 104th that had gone out on that mission had returned, save for the traitors and one other (also apparently a titan-shifter, which leads Levi to wonder how many more of them there could be within their ranks, and if there are any others like Eren - still unaware of their ability and yet to unlock it).

If he's talking about his squad, however, none of them had returned, either, which had compounded the loss. Between Levi's squad and Mike's, the corps has lost a great deal of its experienced veterans in a frighteningly short amount of time.

Levi stays silent for a moment, not wanting to volunteer any information on that matter. Once things are said, there's no taking them back. Sometimes even when you know the truth, not hearing it makes it easier. But not always.]
