Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Jane.

[For a moment after he draws near he's lost in the warmth of her company, the joy that wells within him. Something about the woman always leaves him feeling a bit foolish and overly clumsy, though he has not yet sorted out a way to avoid it. Not that he wishes to do so. His hands are light, surprisingly delicate as he rests a hand upon her back, well clear of her injured wings.]

These feathers are not for flight, I fear. They are little more than annoyances more often than not.

Thor.

[She's searched for him for so long, to find him here of all places makes little sense, yet in her heart she feels it must be fate. To have been placed in a random location, and for the same to have happened to him... what were the odds? Of all the cities in all the realms, they had both ended up together. Again. She laid her head upon his chest and leaned into him, letting him support her weight. She was so tired from walking, and from the blood she'd lost from her injury.]

I wish someone woulda told me that sooner. I wish I would have found you sooner. It feels like I've been here forever. Do you know how we got here?

Jane.

[Wait. He's said that already. But a few moments in her presance and he feels less like a warrior and more of a lovestruck boy. He chuffs a soft laugh at himself and steadies Jane, offering but a word of warning before curling an arm behind her knees and sweeping her up off of her limping feet.]

There is a guide in the journal you woke with, but precious few pointed me in that direction. I shall tell you what I have learned after we see your wing treated.

[Once he's certain she's settled and comfortable, off he stried to the Village Clinic. The walk will be blessedly short, he hopes.]

Something in this Realm pulls us in despite our will to remain where we belong.

[She grins crookedly when he repeats himself. He's just as she remembers, tall and gallant and with the most captivating blue eyes and bright smile. He picks her up and she puts her arms around his neck, letting her injured wing hang outside of his arm holding her.]

I wish they worked... I wanted to see how high I could go. I had this irresistible yearning to touch the stars.

[She lays her head on his shoulder as he walks, her temple touching the softest place she can find there. When she speaks again her voice is soft, as if she's almost too shy to utter the words.]

Well then they made a mistake with me... because I wanted to be wherever you were.

One day I shall take you to them. I intended...the Bifrost was shattered, Jane- else I would have returned. Please believe me. I had no other way.

[He'd meant to keep his word and it frustrates him still that he'd been unable to do so. Through his foolishness, through his brother's broken attempts at earning their father's favor- through Odin's pride and negligence. There is much to be answered for and too little time to discuss it. Too little care to discuss it.]

And with me you shall remain. I'll not let you slip from my grasp again.

[His voice is filled with such earnestness that she has no doubt he is telling the truth. Now that they are together, the cause behind what had kept them apart seems less important. She will ask details later, perhaps, when her curiosity gets the better of her.]

Literally? Because eventually you will have to put me down.

[She grins and is surprised to find herself feeling playful despite the pain she is still in. With him there she no longer focuses on all that has gone wrong.]

Perhaps now and then, but I shall carry you wherever you need to walk for today at the very least.

[He does what he can to keep the walk from jostling her and manages for the most part. That he knows these paths well by now and needs not to look ahead as he focuses on her and her comfort is quite useful.]

Unless you wish to walk, then walk you shall.

[She lifts her head to look at him as he walks. His ability carry her seems effortless, as she sees no evidence of strain on his face. All she sees is what she remembers of him - bright blue eyes, a hint of a smile on his lips and a warmth that radiates from him like heat from a fire.]

I don't mind being carried. As long as you're the one doing the carrying.

Then I shall carry you as long as you will permit it.

[And there, the clinic in all it's cozy, albiet somewhat simplistic glory. Tis nothing compared to the healing halls of Asgard but for a wing? he could think of nowhere better to take Jane.]

[She feels so comfortable and safe in his arms that she is slightly disappointed that they have reached their destination. He sets her down onto her feet and she opens the door to the clinic, which reminds her of the smallest doctor's office she ever went to back on Earth. She looks back at him and pauses in the doorway.]

You don't have to come with me if you'd rather stay outside. Just promise you'll still be here when I'm done.

If you wish me to remain here, I will remain here. If you wish me to remain at your side? I shall do so.

[She looks up into his eyes, then takes his hand, sliding her dainty fingers between his.]

I'll always want you by my side.

And I to have you at mine.

[That made his mind up for him; he walks into the clinic with her, ready for whatever instruction he might need for helping her.]

[She only let go of Thor's hand long enough for the doctor to examine her. Assured that the feathers would grow back, she endured a few stitches and admonition on trying to actually use her wings - and for not thoroughly reading her guide. She was glad that Thor had stayed even if she was embarrassed by the doctor's chastising. The true weight of how alone she has been has been made more apparent to her by his presence.]

Don't worry, doc. I have someone to keep me in line now.
