Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[The knowledge seeker is just in time! Wan was about to use his freaky magical talking book as kindling. What are books anyways.]

Heeeeey there little guy

[He's going to tentatively... very tentatively... be friendly and not throw a fireball. Please be a normal animal and not another spirit. The frog was traumatizing enough.]

[The little fox whines up at Wan, then walks over to sniff at the journal. He didn't seem to want it so the creature glances up at him before picking it up in his maw and proceeding to trot off with it.]

[Well... that was something. But at least he seems like a normal fox. But he can't just have him wander off with a weird... magical... object thing. So he's going to follow.]

He wait! You probably shouldn't touch that. It's full of spirit magic.

[Not that he's really sure if spirits actually hurt anyone besides humans. But he doesn't want to take the risk considering he doesn't even know what the object even is.]

[The fox just continues go to on his merry way, not at all heeding what was being said.

He will lead Wan into the village and subsequently to the library.]

[This village is... very different from the lion turtle city. For one thing: how can a town like this even exist in the spirit wilds? The buildings themselves were different too.

It's actually kind of creepy. Also mind-blowing.]

Where are we?

["We" as in both he and his little friend, even if he's started to get the sinking suspicion that he is no ordinary fox. He gets that some bird spirit took him somewhere based on the wings and all... but this is a new level of strange. Yao did warn him that spirits would scramble up his mind.]

[The fox scurries in through the library door, and should Wan follow, he would see the creature taking his journal to one very large spirit owl.

Wan Shi Tong peers, well, owlishly at what the fox brings him.]

Hm? I have no use for another journal.

[That is definitely a spirit.
And it is also a bird.
Is he the spirit that brought him here?!

Wan Shi Tong will soon notice this small, sweaty human in a second. Wan himself is mentally preparing to throw some fireballs and run. Last time he ran into giant spirits they either tried to step on him, eat him, or both.]

[He does indeed notice, and turns to look his way.]

You must be a new one.

[With a sweep of his wing, Wan Shi Tong takes the book from the fox and steps over to Wan to look more closely at him.]

I am Wan Shi Tong, he who knows 10,000 things, and the keeper of this library.

[Well... the fact that the giant owl spirit isn't immediately trying to kill him relieves Wan's anxiety a little. Enough to ask an important question: What's a library?.]

Are you the spirit that brought me here?

[It is a sincere question, Wan is completely confused about how luceti works.]

I am not.

[This is stated rather matter-of-factly.

With a sweep of his wing, he will place the journal at Wan's feet. And with another stroke of a feather, flips it to a certain point, the guide.]

[Soon the all knowing spirit will discover that Wan is "he who asks 10,000 things"

...Also that he has no idea what a book is.]

What is this?

[Peering curiously at the pages. His era had scrolls if anything and well... it's not like he had access to them or time to read given he lived on the fringes of society.]

[Wan Shi Tong is a bit... taken aback by this question, but remains composed.]

It is a book, a journal to be exact. You will need it during your stay here.

[Wan isn't convinced by this new information. This "book" clearly has some kind of magical properties but all is is are a bunch of pictures.]

How is a book supposed to help me in the spirit wilds?

[This time his voice is skeptical. Unsure if the giant owl and his "books" are actually playing mind games with him at this point.]

[The spirit heaves a sigh of long suffering.]

Do you always ask so many questions?

[He can appreciate a desire for knowledge, but really.]

[He heard that. Wan crossed his arms with a huff.]

[it's starting to feel really tempting to ask "What's so bad about asking questions?"]

Only when I want to know something.

[Wan Shi Tong points a feather at the journal.]

Then I suggest you read.

[And stop bothering him.]

[And so Wan is going to leave the library... without his journal.]

Wan Shi Tang watches him go, then looks to his spirit fox who had been sitting there the whole time.

The fox goes and picks up the journal to file it away, until the time that Wan should wish to come retrieve it again.]
