Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[As soon as Arietta hears Ion's voice, she freezes. That isn't a voice she expected to ever hear again, but no, here is he, standing just a short distance away, alive.

Ion is alive. And so is she.]

[He doesn't make a move to approach her, unsure just what she remembers from Auldrant. Did she already know about his death? Does she remember being in Luceti before? Is he going to have to pretend to be "her" Ion again...?]

[Either way, he puts on a smile. She must have just arrived. Even without the other factors, that was never easy.]

...it's been a while, hasn't it? Have you just arrived?

I understand. I would never desecrate the library with full intent, for knowledge has always been a powerful ally of mine. [Not exactly in the form of library books, but...] It is facts and evidence combined that will shine light upon the truth when everything seems at its darkest.

Oh? Then you are a scholar?

"Easy there...." Chekov replied somewhat amused by the other Starfleet officer's enthusiasm. He found that his own curiosity got the better of him and decided to deal with his injured wing later.

Not only was he interested in the tricorder's findings, but the Starfleet officer himself. Chekov didn't recognize the uniform at all, but merely recognized the insignia and the style. While the uniform was different it was distinctively, Starfleet.

"Find anything interesting on the tricorder?"

Harry fiddles with the tricorder for a moment before looking up in surprise. Oh. He knew what a tricorder was... and that was a uniform straight out of a museum, wasn't it?

Well then. That's... Well, okay, not as weird as it probably could be.

"Nothing really useful," Harry replies. "Ensign Harry Kim. Hi."

Well this was certainly a surprise. He couldn't help, but smile. Seeing the young ensign before him, reminded him of the old days. "I'm Commander Pavel Chekov," he greeted in returned and offered his hand to shake Harry's.

"Are we sure about that? Little things could actually be quite important. Share with me what you found."

When Chekov stepped inside, he couldn't help but give her AhSoka a glance. He was rather intrigued, having never seen her race before. Dealing with other races in general wasn't a problem for him and he was always excited to see meet new races. It never dawned on him that she wasn't part of the clinic.

"Hello...is this one of the clinics?" He chided himself for even asking it but his own mind went blank as he tried to figure out what to say. He knew he should focus on his wing injury, but at the same time his curiosity was getting the better of him.

[Certainly, for her part, Arietta doesn't realize it's Anise that collided with her either, or at least not at first. She wasn't exactly expecting to run into her, but then again, she wasn't... expecting any of this.]

He shook Chekov's hand, immediately placing him in the annals of Starfleet history. It took a bit of will to keep from gaping at Chekov. After a moment's thought, he turned the tricorder toward the commander. (Temporal prime directive be damned. They had more important things to deal with.)

"That's pretty much the thing, though: there's no little things. Every readout is the epitome of normal."

[Anyways, she stumbles when Anise knocks into her, and while she's not exactly the most steady on her feet, the all too familiar voice (and... all too familiar nickname) provokes a similar reaction from her.]

I'm not gloomy! [Why do you have to call her that even now?]

[Frigga gives a small cry of alarm when Loki collapses against Thor. She had felt the difference in her own power, but assumed it was related to her somewhat transient mortal state. If she had known Loki was similarly afflicted, she would have suggested something else - a combination of their powers, perhaps, or having Thor meet them at home. As it was, not knowing that gave Frigga grave cause for concern.

She does not take a seat, but crouches by Loki.]

What is this? What has happened?

Nothing unusual. [Loki leans back on the couch, hands loose in his lap for a moment.] And yes Thor, water would be lovely. And put the kettle on while you're at it.

It is all right, mother. Just a bit tired.

[Oh, right. And they're in his house now. Rogue isn't home; he'd be able to tell if she was in the building. He smiles crookedly.]

And please, be welcome in my home.

[Of all the people that Rogue expected up to and including those who knew her from various media forms, this wasn't one of the options she anticipated. Congratulations Kitty, you get to see her poleaxed.]

[But where was the Chicago accent? The predilection to overuse the word 'like?' The ponytail?]

[ oh, well, that was a surprise. Must be the different universe thing. ]

Yeah, that's me. Guessin' that I look a lot different. [ Well, at least she was still from Chicago and put her hair in a ponytail for training. ]

[Maybe this was an occasion where the more mature thing to do was ask Arietta if she was okay, or if she needed help, or if she had actually figured out what was going on yet. Maybe she could try and take the high road, and reach out to offer help.]

[And then it occurred to him- a fellow force sensitive might well be a Jedi, or at least know of them. Perhaps he could do with a reassuring presence in a strange place such as this?]

"Former Master on the Jedi Council, of that's at all significant to you."

[His head moves slowly to the side so he can get a look at her, gaze lingering briefly on her hair as he sizes her up. He knows he hasn't consumed anywhere near enough alcohol to be imagining up familiar faces. But she kind of looks like...No. No need to jump to conclusions.

The bartender slides him another shot and he raises it towards her.]

If this is the Welcoming Committee, I can't complain.

Weirdest thing to happen to me? [He pauses for a moment to think about that.] Well, there hasn't been much that's happened directly to me, but one night my hair grew like a foot in a matter of seconds. That... was more than a little disturbing.

However, knowing all the weird stuff that's happened to everyone else, well, I just have a hunch that that's not going to last.

...I see. [This isn't going to get any easier the longer he puts off approaching her. As much as being around her made him feel uncomfortable, he couldn't just leave her here alone like this.]

[With only a bit of hesitance, he closes the distance between them and holds out a hand. If she looks up, she might just notice that he's a bit taller than she would remember. He's been here for a while now, after all.]

Why don't you come with me? I can explain more about where we are, and help you find more suitable clothing. The village shops aren't too far from here.

[Time shenanigans... This was the second time that Leia had come to this village and she was dealing with time shenanigans all over again.

As far as she knew, most of the Jedi had been murdered before she was born. Those that hadn't died outright during the Empire's first moves had been hunted down like animals and picked off.

But there was no mistaking the feeling of someone who used the Force frequently. While Leia herself was no Jedi, Luke had been instructing her in the hows of trying to sense it. It was easier to tell with him, since it seemed that they were nearly the same person during those long hours of meditation together. But she was getting better with others as well. Living in the same house with so many Jedi had basically made it so easy to tell what they were that even Leia could feel them when they met in the village.]
