Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

...I see. [This isn't going to get any easier the longer he puts off approaching her. As much as being around her made him feel uncomfortable, he couldn't just leave her here alone like this.]

[With only a bit of hesitance, he closes the distance between them and holds out a hand. If she looks up, she might just notice that he's a bit taller than she would remember. He's been here for a while now, after all.]

Why don't you come with me? I can explain more about where we are, and help you find more suitable clothing. The village shops aren't too far from here.

[You're right, that would have been too easy and we can't have that!]

Well, okay, she might kind of notice that Ion seems a little taller, but maybe it's a trick of the light? Maybe she's just... disoriented still. He had generally been avoiding her ever since Anise took over as Fon Master Guardian, for reasons she could never comprehend. Still, either way, she'll gladly take his hand, not wanting to let go, when he offers it to her.]

Alright... [She'd go anywhere with him, of course. But, ah-] I don't think I have any money with me, though.

That's all right. Everything here is free, so you don't need money for anything you need in the shops.

[And with that, they can start walking! And hopefully they won't run into Anise or the others before he can at least explain where they are. That'd probably just make things more complicated.]

This place we're in is called Luceti. I'm afraid it might be a little hard to believe, but we're not on Auldrant anymore.

[It'd pretty much end in disaster for all parties involved if they ran into Anise or any of the main party, really. Good times were not had by all.]

Not Auldrant, but Luceti...? [????] I don't understand.

We are in another world entirely]

[Yeah, that whole "different world" thing was hard for anyone to to just accept right away. Even Ion still had trouble wrapping his head around it sometimes.]

Have you noticed your wings yet? [Unfortunately Ion keeps his tucked under his clothes, so she'll just have to look at her own for reference.]

This place is a world different from Auldrant. People are brought here from all over, and given a pair of wings. Though you should be careful not to injure them -- they're connected to your life here, and even pulling out a feather might make you feel sick.

- Wings? [Hold up, nobody said anything about wings. While she looks back behind her to see that she does, indeed, have wings, she's still largely confused. This is a lot to take in for someone who just arrived, after all, and even moreso for Arietta, who was raised by monsters and was still fairly clueless about the ways of the world... and now the idea that there were other worlds as well. And wings! Monsters had wings, Arietta used to think of herself as a monster too... until Ion had taught her how to be human (and humans, as far as she knew, didn't have wings), so...?

That, and there's the added confusion of having just died and suddenly awakening in another world entirely fully healed.]

[Might not wanna mention that last thing for awhile, unless she wants to see Ion sad.]

Ah... you hadn't noticed? [Well, she wouldn't be the first.] Everyone here has them. I do as well, though I tend to keep them folded under my shirt.

[Well of course she doesn't want to see Ion sad! But she'll probably end up apologizing for not being able to avenge his death ): THAT IS KIND OF A THING.]

No... I didn't know. [Should she have? It hadn't been on her mind at the time, but now Arietta looks a tad worried.] Where did they come from? I thought only monsters had wings!

[And you know, birds, but either way this isn't Haibane Renmei.]

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that myself. All we know is that everyone who arrives here is given their own set of wings.

[He can tell she's worried, but right now there isn't much he can do to try and quell those worries. At the very least, he could save some of the more unsavory facts about Luceti for another time, after she's gotten more settled in.]

I'm sure it's all a little much to take in right now, but you can take your time figuring it out at your own pace.
