Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Absolutely. That way, we won't be tempted to change our answers. That would be very un-ninja-like.

Even worse: it would be unyouthly! [He takes out his notepad and tears a piece of paper that he offers to her.] Now, optimal fairness can be assured! This is a true competition, Rapunzel-san! [And he sounds so excited.]

[ She gingerly climbs down the chair stack, momentarily holding the pastry comb between her teeth while she does so. ]

But I didn't have one of those on hand, and the cakes were ready to frost! [ She was in dire need! ]

The winner will have a slice of victory cake!

[ What is victory cake? To be determined!! ]

Now, let's see...

Ah... victory cake?! [Whatever it is, Lee knows that he wants it.] I won't fail!

[And now back to INTENTLY STARING DOWN THE JAR to determine the number.

Also, decision time! The actual number of beans in the jar is... 910.]

[ With her tongue between her lips, Rapunzel FURIOUSLY writes down her final number: 762. She's counted those beans backwards, forwards, and backwards again. She cannot possibly be wrong!! ]

[Lee takes a moment to think back at everything Gai-Sensei has ever taught him.

And then, he writes down 1077. He looks down at his answer for a moment, and then he glances to Rapunzel.]

I... have made my answer, Rapunzel-san.

[ Features tense, Rapunzel glances up to meet his eyes. ]

Alright. On the count of three, we show our numbers?

Very well! [he tensely grabs his paper in his fist.] One... Two...

...Three!

[ Rapunzel flashes her piece of paper up!

762! ]

Three! [He remarks at the same time as he dramatically holds up his own piece of paper.

1077!

And he studies Rapunzel's own number intensely.]

Ah...!

Ah...!

[ This relevation...tells her nothing!!! ]

Um...I suppose we need to count them now?

[Or does it... tell theme everything?! Rock Lee still looks on as if experiencing a revelation.]

That is right! This shall be the next part of the challenge! [He reaches for the jar and goes to unfasten it. But the lid does not budge at all.]

- Wings? [Hold up, nobody said anything about wings. While she looks back behind her to see that she does, indeed, have wings, she's still largely confused. This is a lot to take in for someone who just arrived, after all, and even moreso for Arietta, who was raised by monsters and was still fairly clueless about the ways of the world... and now the idea that there were other worlds as well. And wings! Monsters had wings, Arietta used to think of herself as a monster too... until Ion had taught her how to be human (and humans, as far as she knew, didn't have wings), so...?

That, and there's the added confusion of having just died and suddenly awakening in another world entirely fully healed.]

[ ah

rock lee did you stop working out ]

Are you...having some trouble with the lid?

[He never stops working out! Never!]

N-no. Not at all! [He twists some more at it.] It just seems that, this lid... it's somehow inherited the stubborness of youth!

[ Not even when he sleeps? And POOPS? ]

Uh...huh! [ She sounds believing, buuuut it can't really be that hard, can it... ] Should I try...?

[EVERYTHING IS TRAINING]

Feel free to, Rapuzel-san! It would be wrong of me to doubt your own strength. [And he hands her that jar with the pickliest of lids.]

[Might not wanna mention that last thing for awhile, unless she wants to see Ion sad.]

Ah... you hadn't noticed? [Well, she wouldn't be the first.] Everyone here has them. I do as well, though I tend to keep them folded under my shirt.

[Well of course she doesn't want to see Ion sad! But she'll probably end up apologizing for not being able to avenge his death ): THAT IS KIND OF A THING.]

No... I didn't know. [Should she have? It hadn't been on her mind at the time, but now Arietta looks a tad worried.] Where did they come from? I thought only monsters had wings!

[And you know, birds, but either way this isn't Haibane Renmei.]

No, but it would be the time it's most useful, don't you think?

[He does step up then, just in case she falls, his hand partially outstretched. Clearly she's a good climber, but he has seen princesses jump out of windows, historically.]

So the bakery needs a stepladder, then.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that myself. All we know is that everyone who arrives here is given their own set of wings.

[He can tell she's worried, but right now there isn't much he can do to try and quell those worries. At the very least, he could save some of the more unsavory facts about Luceti for another time, after she's gotten more settled in.]

I'm sure it's all a little much to take in right now, but you can take your time figuring it out at your own pace.

Well, sure! They'd be too hot to wear in summer.

[ gross tmi ]

Alright, here I go! [ And she...tries to open the jar. To no avail. ]
