Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[It startles him at first. The voice at the doorway that booms straight across the room, that is. But he's innocent and more than willing to make up for his experiment so the surprise cools away almost as soon as it comes. He reacts firstly by popping his head up from behind the bar, and after the initial surprise by holding up his hands up in a partially playful-you-caught-me manner, grinning as he sees who it is.

Especially because he sees who it is. If it were anyone else, he'd know maybe there'd be more trouble waiting for him. But it's Asch. And Asch is a little more than a stranger. The hands come down.]

Offering to make cocktails?

[...Okay, he knows this guy. He's not sure if that helps or not, but at least he can put a name to the face. What the hell is Emperor Peony doing making cocktails?]

This isn't your bar, and you don't work here. Do that at home if you feel the need to screw around.

[Why he's making cocktails is a secret.]

Hey, now. You don't have to worry about this; I plan on cleaning up.

[Asch bristles. Just because he's the emperor doesn't mean he gets to be so dismissive...]

That's not the point!

[Exhaling, he thinks over his next choice of words. He knows maybe he's in trouble, though he didn't figure Asch would be this uptight about his borrowing of the bar.]

No, but how about next time I give you a heads up? [See, he's trying to reasonable. At the very least, he's not going to go away that easily without trying to ~~push some buttons~~ barter a degree of forgiveness.]

At least try this before you kick me out.

Next time you can ask.

[He makes no move to take the drink. He's not sure he trusts you, actually. Aren't emperors supposed to know better? Whatever happened to respecting someone else's property? Unless someone really did forget to lock the door, in which case he has an employee to yell at later.]

Well, we have ourselves a deal.

[And he'll just begin to clean up as promised, starting by taking back the drink he offered. After all, it's not hard to tell that it's better to be leaving soon with the vibes going on.]

Of course, next time we should get to know each other too. You're a guy I hear more about than I actually see.

[He's not so sure he wants to get to know Peony, considering what he's heard, but he's not... totally against giving people a chance to make an impression first. Nevermind that most people make horrible first impressions with him.]

Oh, well then. I'll come back and we can get to know each other, starting tomorrow. [He means it too.

But don't worry about the bar because he'll have it all clean in no time. Peony turns then to get a wet rag and back to wipe up the mess around his work area.]

[What? Tomorrow? That's not what he meant!]

Don't... force it or anything. I'm in no rush.

[Actually he'd just as soon forget the whole idea. It's much easier to deal with people by. Not. Dealing with people.]

[Are they? It feels like all they've recognized and irritated one another.

[Sure, they are getting to know each other. Asch's irritation, after all, says a couple of things. The most notable is that he's not unlike the high-strung council members in his court. What that tells him? It's to think a little more office-political.]

[Honestly, he's surprised. He hadn't expected Peony to be especially reasonable. Maybe this can be salvaged after all.]

[If you can call using the bar of his own free will and pushing to get to know someone reasonable, sure.

He hums thoughtfully for a moment, and finally asks.] Hm, what time is it?

[Yeah, totally not reasonable now.]

Yep. So unless I'm dropped off back home, then there's no need to worry about where my priorities lie.

[Besides with how his memories sort of overlap, he's half sure he'd be dropped off home the exact time he left. If not, he knows in the back of his mind that the council would likely hold a front until his return as they usually do.]
