Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Kanji isn't exactly known for liking school back home, but he really finds magic class at Luceti's school very interesting. Of course, magic is his worst statistic when it comes to fighting, but that doesn't keep him from trying. He practices when he thinks no one is watching him at the battle dome.]

[Looks like he's winning against the pre-programmed Shadows. Care to join him or critique his form?]

[Yes, he looks out of place standing in the clothing store. He knows it. But he likes the way this one dress looks and he's got a plush that he's thinking of making that he wants to make a smaller version of for it. So, he's got a very serious expression on his face and he circles the dress on its mannequin and stares at it from different angles.]

[During one of those circles around the mannequin, Kanji might look over it's shoulder to find a green-eyed girl with tanned skin watching him curiously.

When she notes he's seen her, a quick flush rises on her cheeks.]

I'm sorry.

[She points though at the mannequin.]

It's a nice dress, isn't it.

[Yeah, but he doesn't really see her. He's really absorbed in getting the details just right in his head. Why'd he leave his sketch pad back at his apartment? This is gonna make things difficult. He'll miss something. He just knows it.

But when he hears the girl's voice, he jumps and blushes. It's been a while since he's felt this uncomfortable around girls when he's doing his thing for his hobbies, but it's a default after so many years of worrying.]

Uh, yeah, I guess. I ain't lookin' at it for me!

Who are you looking at it for then?

[He's looking over the dress so intensely after all. He must want to make sure the details fit whomever it's for just right.]

[Well, if he hadn't been blushing beforehand about being caught off guard, he sure as hell is now.]

It's for a, uh, gift. For somebody.

[Duh.]

I gotta replicate this for a plush toy, okay?

[Opal blinks a time or two. And then she goes all wide-eyed.]

You mean in a smaller form? What sort of plush is it?

'Course I mean smaller. And it's for a bear.

[Raine-sensei looks like a bear person. Helios-sensei's a bunny person, but he's got a different outfit planned for that one.]

A tan bear.

[Opal considers the dress again. After looking at it a bit closer for a moment or two, she smiles back at Kanji.]

That's great! I'm not that great with needlework and I'd never be able to come up with a pattern by looking. Are you thinking of keeping it the same color?

[See, Kanji, Senpai was right. Nobody gives a fuck if you like cute shit so long as you don't make a huge deal out of it. People tha matter'll just accept your quirks as part of who you are.]

Nah, I was thinkin' about this electric blue velvet I found. Might take out some of the fussy lace in the bodice too. I mean, do you really need that many frills to cover your chest?

[He stops when he realizes what he's just said. He really hopes he hasn't pissed this girl off already.]

Ididn't mean ou personally. It's just a figure of speech!

[His flustered surprise leaves Opal once more curiously blinking. Then she laughs faintly.]

I didn't think you were. After all, I don't have frills on my dress right now, do I?

[She straightens up as she says this. Nope, she doesn't have any frills on her chest in the least. Or frankly anywhere. If anything it's rather simplistic and plain.]

[So, it's been kind of an awful week, with two of Anise's best friends leaving. She had decided to make it better with a trip to the clothing store to help cope; Perona had left her three really amazing dresses, and so she needed to make sure that they were accessorized properly!]

[After putting on the cutest and fanciest dress she can find (and making sure that Tokunaga is accessorized accordingly), she'll make her way down to the shop. The store seems pretty crowded, once she gets there. Most people seem like regulars, except for one guy. He stands out pretty well; not only is he taller than the rest of the store by a large margin, but he looks like the kind of guy who'd probably be happier in a fight.]

[Still, he looks pretty into what he's doing. Anise wasn't quite sure what that was, but anybody like that who visited a store like that had to have a compelling reason! And it was Anise's job to find out what that was.]

[She'll plant her adorable self between Kanji and the mannequin, breaking his line of sight. But, c'mon, wasn't this dress much cuter? And, on an adorable model to boot!]

Hi there~!

[It is pure strength of will that keeps Kanji from lashing out after being surprised like that. He looks down and opens his mouth to yell at the intruder only to stop, close his mouth and realize how cute this little girl is. From the cute dress to the matching plush toy to the pigtails, everything. About her is just really fucking cute.

He takes a deep breath before replying though.]

H-hey. You need somethin'?

[ Helios has been teaching people outside of school, true. But he's also visiting the battle dome more often to train as well. He has to keep his own skills up after all if he's going to be teaching people. So it's a pleasant surprise when he spots Kanji in the battle dome practicing his magic against those strange creatures.

He'll only confront the teen after he's done with his training session and taking a break. ] You're getting quite good at using filial magic. I'm rather pleased to see you practicing it here!

[Kanji collapses onto the bench outside his training room, smiling like a big goofball at his magic teacher as he wipes the sweat from his face and neck with the towel he'd left there earlier.]

Hey, Helios-sensei! Figured today would be a good day ta practice playin' with Tsinku since school ain't open.

[The clothing store certainly wasn't Naoto's favorite place, but after an unfortunate day in magic class, Naoto had little choice. She didn't have the skills to fix her own clothing, and so her only option was seeing if there was someone in town who could repair the damage.]

[She had not been expecting to run into a friend, however. Although, come to think of it, this was the store that would be most similar to the store that Kanji's family ran. Perhaps it was a source of comfort? Either way, she'll walk over to him and try to get his attention.]

Kanji-kun?

[He turns automatically at the sound of her voice, heart racing like a NASCAR and face heating up like a tomato. She knows all about his quirks and hobbies. She's never judged him, not even once. But there's just something about her that makes him feel dumb and slow and oafish.

But when he takes a better look at his friend, he really wishes he hadn't. With a tear that big, not even her school jacket is gonna cover the soft swelling of...

Yep, right on time. The warm and familiar trickle of a nosebleed.]

Naoto! What're you doin' here?
