[Anyone who looks will see a rather amused figure sitting by the fountain. What is she laughing at? Who knows for certain but it's probably you.]

Well then. It looks like it's time for a vacation. Let's all have fun, ne?

[This is a nice feeling. There is nothing better than the wind in her hair and the ground dropping away. She's missed this, she realizes. How odd to miss something about this place.]

Oh I don't know about that. You could get inventive. After all, hands aren't the only things that can play.

[And she says this close to your ear just in case you didn't catch the meaning.]

Give me a show, Bird-chan.

True enough...

[Gulps and speeds up some. It's hard just to stay steady with those words or even more so the way they're said, but he manages for now, keeping an even pace so it wasn't a jolt, just a rush.]

You better hold on tight then Robin, because I don't promise I won't get carried away. [He spreads the wings out wide for extra lift and stills his tail feathers in preparation for what he's going to do next.]

[Her heart speeds up. She's enjoying this. The wild freedom of flight. The thought of something surprising going to happen... She can't help but smile.]

Don't hold back on my account.

[A quick glance back to make sure his rider is secure and Marco starts a fast spiral upwards looping up like a corkscrew before deciding he's reached a satisfactory height and quickly free fall diving downwards. It's easily fast enough that if she isn't holding on tight, Robin will be in danger of floating upwards and off of him.]

[Generally, she likes surprises more than anything. But there is a certain thrill about the build of anticipation speeding through her heart. She holds on tight enough as they go higher and higher....]

[And then down. So fast she can hardly breathe. The wind pushing her hair back and making her eyes tear. She clutches at your neck and you might hear a laugh if it isn't carried away by the wind.]

[Marco laughs himself a little, going down faster and faster until he can't take anymore and then he spreads the wings as wide as they'll go and swoops back up before they can hit any tree tops. But he's hardly done showing off. As they climb back up and Marco levels out, he speeds up as fast as he can possibly go, using all the acceleration from before to his advantage and very quickly spins into a barrel roll, better keep holding on there Robin, and don't mind the sparkles being shed in the process.]

[A sharp thrill goes through her as they come close to being a mangled set of corpses on the tree branches. She loves the pure burst of speed and clings onto him tightly as they pull into a sharp spin until she can hardly tell up from down.]

[And now it's her turn for a show]

Give me ten seconds.

[And she lets go of him, the speed of the spin throwing her into the air.]

Cien Fleur: Wing!

[Hundreds of hands sprout from her and she catches an updraft, using it to do a gentler roll, spinning upward, watching Bird-chan dropping further away]

[Marco's birdie eyes widen, just a bit worried. That's a very neat trick, and he is, of course, completely impressed, but he doesn't know how long she can stay like that so he quickly tries to calculate all the appropriate angles to get back under her to catch her just in case.]

Hah sneaky. You didn't tell me you could fly on your own~ How much energy does that take? [And wow figuring out angles is hard when you flip upside down and practically have to hover. He could switch into hybrid to hover better, but then he wouldn't be able to catch her.]

Too much...

[She smiles...]

It's worth it.

[She is already straining. But she's so high and it's so beautiful and amazing to be under her own power that she doesn't want to stop.]

[She has to though in a heartbeat. The hands burst into petals and down she goes, crashing into you.]

[Catches her as gracefully as he can. He can't blame her though, he loves flying -- obviously. So the desire for it? Yeah, that's something he understands very much.]

Aye... Are you going to be okay? [Carefully levels out and cranes his neck back at her.]

Mm. Very. That was exciting.

[She rests her chin on her hand]

How about you, Bird-chan? You seem a bit flustered.

[And as she speaks she strokes her fingers down your neck]

[His neck shivers slightly at the touch, though he clearly doesn't mind.]

It's been a long time since I was surprised. Which makes it that much more exciting. [And flustering, since he does feel responsible for his riders after all.] I don't fluster easily. [So she should feel extra accomplished if she doesn't already.]

[Oh, she knows just how accomplished she should feel.]

I'm full of surprises. Maybe you'll get to discover more of them one day... If you're brave enough to look.

Oh, I'm more than just brave about them. I can't wait to find more. [Swoops sideways to veer off somewhere a little more stable.] It's not often someone can hold my interest this long. [Sparkles~]

That's too bad. [Though secretly, she's not too disappointed at this. It's nice to find someone interesting.]

[She takes a moment to just enjoy it for a while, the clouds and the breeze and the blue sky]

It's beautiful, ne? I suppose even a tragic place can have its beauty.

Even more beauty now that you're here. [Yup! He went for it.]

Besides even this place has some really good points, eh.

[And she is flattered. She might even be blushing, just a little, but it could just be from the cold]

I suppose it does.

[A small pause]

I wonder if we'll meet in the New World.

[If he can get his family to survive Blackbeard's blitzkrieg and takeover of their islands.]

I've given Nami and Luffy directions to come see Ace's memorial. Even if they don't remember it, I'm sure we'll meet along the way. After all, I'll owe your captain a thank you for looking after Fishman Island.

Ace-san's memorial... [So strange to remember that he is dead and yet alive here. How strange Luffy must feel. Or must he? Luffy's emotions are always straightforward so it's hard to guess what he feels under the surface.]

I am sorry about your captain. He was a great man.

[A small sad note and Marco nods.] Aye, thank you... he was truly the best.

He and Ace are together now so no one can forget Ace was Pops' son, eh? I thought he'd like that.

Of course it's probably why Luceti doesn't seem so bad to me. To have something like that back even temporarily...

Borrowed time is a precious thing.

I suppose so.

[Though she doesn't really understand. This in-between state unsettles her somewhat. Since, to know when death will strike-- to be counting down the days--expected and yet unexpected...]

If only Luceti could do such a thing without treating us like lab rats. [Or lab zombies as the case may be]

Agreed, but I think you'll find that the New World has several worse things in it.

Nothing is worse than being captive.

[Even if she has to die horribly, she would rather do it in some great adventure or out under full sail with her nakama at her side, not kept and tormented at the whims of some scientists.]

[Cranes his neck back to nudge her comfortingly.]

Even as that, we're pretty free here, eh? Flying, missions... It's definitely not as bad as Impel Down, eh?

[She pats his beak, glad for the gesture]

I suppose you're right, though I've never been to Impel Down.
[She says this with some measure of pride. That time was the best and worst moment in her life and she cherishes it]
