Frustrated with Luceti and what it means to be trapped here, he's taking it out in time-honored Team Gai fashion - by beating the shit out of whatever inanimate object no one appears to be using. In this case, it's a tree, which is definitely looking the worse for the series of blows he's directing against it. Nothing fancy for now, no Gentle Fist, no jutsu. Just good old-fashioned beating until he's exercised out some of his overflowing frustration. And he's talking while he hits -- just letting it all out here, so he can be calm and collected later, each emphasized word coming with a blow to the splintering tree.]

This... this damned hellhole, why did they have to decide it was a lark to grab everyone now of all times? I need to be home, I need to be fighting where it's going to do some damned good...

I've gathered most of them, yes. But new little things keep cropping up to keep me on my toes.

It takes a while to adapt to this place. Hopefully you won't have to.

I'd like to think I won't, but I'm not terribly sanguine about it, to be honest.

Then if that's what happens, you'll have to learn to adapt and watch and wait like we all do.

There's always the barracks, if you don't like the Battle Dome. That's something that one of the former residents set up.

The Battle Dome was... kind of a 'gift' from the then-head of the Malnosso organization after we successfully infiltrated a rogue Malnosso station. It can simulate just about any scenario you want it to now, but it was originally designed for practice.

[She doesn't trust it for that. 8|]

Simulate? Changes in terrain and conditions, you mean?

[This sounds intriguing; if there's no catch, it might bear investigation. But only if. He doesn't trust much here not to come with serious catches.]

And opponents. You could select anyone from Luceti, and most monsters or enemies that you can think of as well, if you want to fight against them.

[Illusory enemies? Now that's something intriguing and different.]

Just how real are these simulated opponents?

I don't know. I don't use the Dome for that.

Hm. I may have to experiment with it, then. Trees, unfortunately, do not fight back.

Well... plenty of people practice in there. They should be able to tell you about it.

I'm just uncomfortable practicing there. I don't want to make it any easier for them to observe my fighting style.

That is understandable. If I do choose to practice there, I believe I'll look for... quieter times. [Meaning he might be there at 4am or something equally ridiculous.]

I think your instincts may be on target in that regard. [Dryly; he really doesn't have enough information to go on, but that juxtaposition seems to be more than random coincidence.] I'm glad to know that before I investigate it.
