Action
[There is a man who had just walked into town, his lips are pressed into a fine line, his eyes darting back and forth as if he is trying to take in everything at once. He seems like he could range from being anywhere from the decently-feeling to down right not happy camper. His body language is tense, back ramrod straight and arms crossed tightly across his chest.
Every now and then, he reaches out to touch a dusty-green wing, realizing they are overly sensitive, jumping a little then go back to the tense pose for a few minutes before trying to touch it again, much like a child who has been told not to pick at a scab. It is obvious this man is painfully new here although with how he is looking in the shop window, he is trying to give off the air of 'I know what I am doing!'.]
Player Name: Amanda
Are you new?: Yes
Character Name: Luce
Character Fandom: OC
[ooc: I am looking for a new PB besides Jude Law to help avoid confusion :3]

Well, there's only one way to find out!]
Hello. Are you looking for something?
no subject
But before he could say any of that, he realizes something. Her hair is blue.
He blinks at it. Blue hair. This must be a dream. But still, he will try and be polite, even though it is obvious where his eyes are focused on her.]
Hello, I am looking for a map. I am trying to figure out just where I am.
no subject
Actually, her hair is supposed to be more green than blue, but not even her official art can agree on the shade and icons coloured like these sure don't help, so Luce could easily think otherwise.Grune doesn't notice the direction of his gaze--she never notices when people stare somewhat lower than that, after all. (She's more than just a touch oblivious.)
But she's definitely friendly, as her warm, welcoming smile demonstrates.] Oh, you're in Luceti. This is the clothing shop.
no subject
[Sorry about that ;3; We can mentally retcon it to Luce thinking green. He nods a little, as he pauses when she says the location.Luceti? He goes over his mental map of his homeland, trying to figure out if there is a town called that, with people with wings. He then blinks a little.]
Luceti. [Feeling out the name obviously. He reaches out to touch his wing again, and once more pulling his hand away when it twitches.] Ah, I see, thank you. I have heard of the clothing shops here.
[No he hasn't, obvious by his previous question. And even if it wasn't a right-out lie to try and help him save face merely because of who really have heard of this place before being dropped here, it is obvious on his face. A slight frown and his eyes darting back and forth.] Thank you for informing me. Is there a mapshop near by?
no subject
She spends a moment or two thinking about his question.] Hmm.... I think Raine has some maps.
no subject
That is very good, how much do they normally go for?
no subject
Oh, no, she doesn't sell them. [Nobody sells anything in Luceti.] You can look at them in your journal.
no subject
...As in the book? [Just confirming it.]
no subject
[She gives him what counts for her as a measuring look. She's starting to get the impression....] Are you a New Feather?
no subject
I am not a feather at all.

That I am, I woke up in the woods nearby but hopefully soon I will be able to head back home. [Thats right, try and play it cool. See this? Cool. Not confused or anything about where is he and why does he have wings and why did he have a book that must have been witchcraft that he left in the middle of the woods.]
no subject
Her expression turns sympathetic.] Oh, you can't go home for a little while yet. I'm sorry.

[Wing picking? New Feather. How delightful- and she'd assumed this cycle had ended a few days ago. Adele sighs and walks up to his side.]
Quit that. You'll pluck out a feather and make yourself sick.
no subject
no subject
[Because he was. She saw you doing it. Twice, even.]
Pluck one out, you'll make yourself ill, and then you'll be my problem. I'd rather not deal with idiotic New Feather's today- so don't pick at them.
no subject
But perhaps you could explain the wings.
no subject
[A beat.]
We're all little angels now. So we get wings. Why else would we have them?
no subject
I am not an 'angel' [Whatever that is.] And I figured this was just a dream.
no subject
[Sarcasm doesn't register. That's...odd. To say the least.]
You are whatever you were when you came here. This isn't a dream, the wings keep us alive, after a fashion. Hurt them, and it hurts you twice as much. Lose them? You die.

Do you have the book you woke with, or not?
