[There is a man who had just walked into town, his lips are pressed into a fine line, his eyes darting back and forth as if he is trying to take in everything at once. He seems like he could range from being anywhere from the decently-feeling to down right not happy camper. His body language is tense, back ramrod straight and arms crossed tightly across his chest.

Every now and then, he reaches out to touch a dusty-green wing, realizing they are overly sensitive, jumping a little then go back to the tense pose for a few minutes before trying to touch it again, much like a child who has been told not to pick at a scab. It is obvious this man is painfully new here although with how he is looking in the shop window, he is trying to give off the air of 'I know what I am doing!'.]

That I am, I woke up in the woods nearby but hopefully soon I will be able to head back home. [Thats right, try and play it cool. See this? Cool. Not confused or anything about where is he and why does he have wings and why did he have a book that must have been witchcraft that he left in the middle of the woods.]

[Oh dear.

Her expression turns sympathetic.] Oh, you can't go home for a little while yet. I'm sorry.

[He tenses up more so, trying to make himself look taller- stronger.] I am sure I will, I have work to do and my companion isn't with me.

[he crosses his arms tighter around his person. Wait, this is a dream, right? Okay, of course the characters in his dream won't think he will be home soon! He gives a polite nod of his head as he spends a moment longer thinking.]

But, in case I don't, why might that be?

[Grune doesn't really notice his attempts to make himself taller--being nearly six feet tall in her heels, he doesn't really change too much from her perspective.

And so her tone doesn't change at all as she explains:] Nobody can go home until it's the right time. But don't worry--maybe you'll get to go back soon.

[So he might be almost looking her in the eye. Almost. Maybe. He narrows his eyes a little.]

And whats the longest one has to wait?

[And this is the part where Grune's memory problems can be a little...unfortunate.

She sets a finger against her cheek to think.] Hmm.... I wonder.

[And he is just standing there, staring, wondering what she will say. His arms are crossed and his feet apart, waiting for this answer.]

[This is a bad strategy, because her mind is starting to wander further and further off topic....]

[He just keeps on watching for a few more moments.]

[She may or may not have entirely forgotten his question.]

Whats the longest one has waited to go back home?

[From her reaction, it seems as though this is the first she has been asked the question.]

Oh, I don't know. Do you think it's been very long?

[Luce resists the urge to facepalm, that would be quite rude if he did.]

I have not been here long.
