Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Huh? Oh, uh... not intentionally! I just kind of meant we could do stupid things and not act our age. But if you're up for a roll in the grass you could do better than me anyway.

[A lingering, appraising look. She makes a faint noise of appreciation in the back of her throat. She could do better. Has, done better. But Michael is not such a bad looking man.]

I'm certain you could as well, if you wished it.

[He feels his cheeks heat up.]

Oh, come on. We barely know each other. Let's not start by talking about romping, as fun as it is. What kinds of stuff do you do here when you're not getting barcoded and poked?

It's purely a speculative discussion about romping. Hypothetical. Made entirely without true intent to romp.

[She snorts a soft laugh and settles back into the grass.]

I work. At the clinic, or the nightclub at the end of the day. We've a library, a school, and there is always the battle dome.

...so a doctor by day, a dancer by night? Gotta tell ya, you don't look like you've got too much rhythm.

[All of the chuckling.]

Surgeon by day, pianist by night. It is not that kind of nightclub.

[She does huff a soft laugh, prop herself up on her elbows.]

No rhythm? No rhythm. I was trained in dance from the time I could walk until I was twenty. I've plenty of rhythm. I expect all you are able to do is the...what would Remy call it? Ah, yes. The 'white boy shuffle.'

You play piano? Very nice! I wouldn't mind hearing music again.

[He laughs.]

Guilty as charged. The ragin' Caucasian I am not. Just another terrible dancer with a semi-decent face.

Then come to Cloud Nine around...nine. If you've requests and I know the song, I would be more than happy to play for you. It is one of the few joys i have in this village.

[Another half twist of a smile.]

Semi-decent, wholly decent. If one cannot be clever, they can settle for being pretty, yes?

Cry me a River by Julie London. It's a favorite of mine.

[And then he pouts.]

You are a man of surprising and excellent taste. I enjoy performing that quite a bit as well.

[A pout? A pout. She is unmoved by pouting. Little Fleur Michael is not.]

I do not know you well enough to say for certain.

I'm just full of surprises it would seem. And hey, you wouldn't have invited a dull man to listen to you play, would you? Come on, you know I'm clever.

I don't know. A dull man might find all the more enjoyment in music, especially if we had pretty candles on the table to hold his interest and shining lights to keep him entertained.

Hmmmmph.

A clever man would also have a better way of verbally sparring outside of sitting and pouting. So. You are pretty but not terribly clever.

You are not truly trying to win. If you were this would be going very differently.

Not every situation calls for a fight to win. Sometimes standing to the side works.

Then do not complain about not winning when it isn't your intent.

I just don't like being thought of as lesser is all. Kinda bugs me.

Michale, here? We are all equally screwed. There is no real hierarchy, no one greater or lesser. We're all stuck here. It's an even playing field, more or less.
