Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Three scenarios to chose from here!

A || There is some girl (well, a nearly-30-year-old-woman, but she sure doesn't look it) in a weird outfit, passed out face-first on the ground. She might be whimpering from time to time. What do.

B || It's a nice quiet day, when all of the sudden, there's a loud BOOM. All the windows of [INSERT HOUSE NUMBER HERE] have just been blown out, and there's smoke rising out of the open windows! Thankfully there's no fire, but maybe someone should check things out anyway?

C || Rorona is putting a large, childish-looking sign (complete with a kiddish drawing of her, a cauldron, and assorted vials and bottles) up by the fountain that says "FREE ALCHEMY LESSONS FROM A CERTIFIED ALCHEMY TEACHER". She's lingering by it with a very expectant smile on her face.]

[...so there is a girl just lying down on the ground. Elliot could have sworn that he heard her whimper, but it doesn't really matter, because just her existence on this ground is irritating to him!]

What the hell do you think you're doing?

[In response, Rorona gives the most dignified answer she can muster ...!

A low whine, followed by some crying. Oh, and some other words too I guess.]

... hungry ... I'm so hungry ...

[...what. It's such an unusual response that Elliot flusters for a moment when he tries to respond.]

Th-then what are you doing on the ground?!

I-I can't move anymore ...!

[... Or at least she doesn't want too.]

Then you're going to starve to death! Is that what you want?

N-nooooooooo ...!

[... But she's still not moving.]

What are you waiting for?! [This is just ridiculous! He can't take it anymore. He reaches down to take her hand.] Come on, I'll make sure you eat!

[Rorona finally looks up at that.]

Really? Really really?

[Well, that explosion was nearby and shards of glass rain down on the vampire as he walks by. Instinctively he raises his cape to protect himself, and most of the shards simply bounce harmlessly off him.]

What in Hades was that?!

[Val spins around to the house as smoke billows from inside. Was someone under attack? And who attacked him with shards of glass?! It was worth investigating. He drew his sword and moved to the door, kicking it open dramatically.]

[Rorona is a few feet away from the door, covered in soot and coughing (and crying a little over the synthesis she just totally botched), when the door is suddenly kicked open.

So, naturally, she screams out of surprise.]

[But through the sunlight coming in from the door, the smokey-ness of the room, and how rattled she is from her failed synth, she only notices key things about the person who just kicked open the door.

They have pointy ears.

They have red eyes.

They're pale.

Sure, the hair color's wrong and they're too tall, but those features plus the explosion plus how badly she's wanted to see him again---]

H- ... Hom?!

[And with that, Rorona bursts into tears and charges at Val with an attempt at a tight hug.

Because you are clearly the homunculous her master made for her and then cruelly took away, not a vampire tyrant who just happened to pass by. Obviously.]

I'm not sorry in the slightest, you shouldn't be either

[Valvatorez blinks as he's wrapped into a hug by a crying human girl... even if that girl is actually a fully-grown woman. He's pretty startled by this, and ends up dropping his blade to the floor with a clatter.]

...W-what is the meaning of this, lass?

[Unfortunately, Rorona's not listening to Val in the least - in her mind, her precious little Hom crossed over time and space and came back to her and she was totally going to get it to call her "big sister" this time and it'd help her with her alchemy again and and and--]

Ahhh, H-Hom ... I've missed you so much! And for you to end up here of all places too-- After all this time-- a-and, I-- ...

[And she's crying more. And being kind of obnoxious about it.]

[Reluctantly, Val inevitably makes it worse by gently, and hesitantly, consoling the poor girl by stroking the back of her head. It's rare he'd feel such sympathy for a human, but whomever this Hom person was must've been very, very important to her.

But he can't give the girl false hope. It wouldn't be right.]

...I believe you have mistaken me for someone else.

[piealchemist]

H-Huh?

[... Wait, that's not Hom's voice. Not at all. So, Rorona does the one thing she should've done in the first place.

Actually gets a good look at him.]

Oh ... [Wait, she's hugging a guy she doesn't know who--] AHH!

[She immediately lets go and takes a step back.]

S-sorry! Um, it ... seems I really did mistaken you for someone else. So um ... sorry for that! Now I'm really embarrassed ...

[She's trying to keep an upbeat tone about it, but she does seem pretty disappointed anyway. More disappointed than sorry, at least. This guy doesn't seem to mind much, anyway.]

It's nothing.

[Well, except the tears on his clothes. Well, those will dry eventually. He crouches down to take his sword back up and sheathes it for the moment.]

I heard an explosion. I see you're not hurt, but what happened here?

[piealchemist]

Explosion?

[What explo-- OH.]

Ohhh, that explosion. Well, you see, I was just doing my alchemy synthesis, as usual, when I thought I saw something outside the window! So when I looked, I might have put a little too much powder into my cauldron, and ...

[She trails off, looking around the room. Nothing's on fire or anything, but even the ceiling is stained with soot.]

This is going to take forever to clean again.

[Childish-looking or not, Miss Price is all eyes and ears. She narrows her eyes at the sign briefly, pulls out her glasses to make sure she is reading it right, and then moves back to look at it again. Then at the "girl".]

Alchemy lessons?

[Hmm, is this older woman interested? Rorona's used to her students being much younger, but she certainly wasn't about to ignore a question because of that. So! She smiles brightly, nodding.]

That's right! Do you know about alchemy?

Most certainly, I have read a good deal of information on the subject... but I wasn't aware that some your age could be the same.

Some my age? ... Are alchemists usually older?

Well, not necessarily - but I'm afraid I don't know many children with such an interest. [Granted, she doesn't know many children at all - only three, really.]

Ch-- ... Children ... But I'm not a ...

[Oh no ... Maybe she really DOES need to find some way to look more dignified ...]
