Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Hijikata doesn't bat an eye at "a version of him." He does know a version of Souji here. The younger one. The non-rasetsu one.

Ugh, and now he's giggling. Honestly, this guy's deal is what, now? Still, if he knows Souji, too...]

Yeah, I live with Souji. Heisuke, too. [As well as the other newcomers. But those two were here first, apparently.]

Oh, the puppy is so cute~ [Because, honestly, the only time Souji ever hears about Heisuke is when he's being a puppy-like person. Which is weird. And yet....it fits so much.

Mmhm~ You could say that. I know Hijikata-san, too, but not you. The other one. The one I grew up with.

[Eyebrow twitch.]

...The hell are you talking about?

He reaches out to touch Toshizo's back, trying to pet him. Who knows if this cat will let him, but even if he gets scratched, Souji won't mind. Besides, he's trolololing in his head anyway.]

You turned around when I called the cat's name which means~ You must be the other me's Hijikata-san.

[..............

Insane. This man is insane. Only explanation.

Except.

Hold on, he's going over the clues. Give him a moment as he stares at Souji with equal parts incredulity and intent to kill. The cat, meanwhile, shrinks under Souji's touch and reaches his head around to try and bite his hand. Mmm. Souji hand.]

[Anyway, putting the pieces together...the end result? Is horrifying.

Not to mention it's impossible, but the important part is that it's horrifying and he will probably have nightmares for years for even considering this.

He'll respond slowly, voicing the only possible out he can think of.]

Souji put you up to this, didn't he?

[Because sending a ridiculously weird guy to insinuate that he is an "other" Souji and that there is an "other" Hijikata and all this nonsense is exactly the kind of thing that punk would do.]

[Hijikata must learn to realize that no matter how scary he is, how much intent to kill he puts in his harsh gaze, none of it gets through a Souji's thick skull. On the contrary, it just makes them want to troll him harder. One would think Hijikatas throughout the umpteenth dimensions would learn this. The Soujis are glad they have not.

This Souji simply laughs when Toshizo tries to bite him and swiftly moves his hand out of the way of those tiny, moe-moe fangs. D'aww, Toshizo. You're so cute when you try to mutilate people.]

Actually, I haven't seen him today. I thought he might be around when I saw Toshizo come into the store, but instead I found you~♥

[He pulls his hand back all the way and looks up at Hijikata, pleased as punch. Then he gets up and moves right up into his personal bubble, to look Hijikata in the face.]

You don't look much like the Hijikata-san I know, but then I probably don't look like the Souji you know either.

[The reason for this is Soujis aren't the only ones with thick skulls. And right now the thoughts bouncing around this particular thick skull sound something like this:

Fuck. No. No. No. Fuck NO. Goddammit!

Basically, apologies to those of you in the store who can read minds because Hijikata is insanely uncomfortable right now. And this new Souji being like this close to his face is not helping matters at all. Not even bothering to hide his disgust as he takes a couple steps back.

Now for the clearly logical response: Lash out. Yes.]

You'd better not be trying to fuck with me.

[Or Souji may find out exactly how "adorable" this Toshizo can be when he's mutilating someone, if you catch the drift.]

[Oh, he's angry. Even for someone who is used to trolling Hijikatas, it's clear when one is super angry and when he should back off. Souji takes a step back and tries to hide his disappointment behind a smile, shaking his head. ]

I wouldn't dream of it. I guess there are a lot of things different between our worlds then. I didn't mean to upset you, Hijikata-san.

You didn't, did you? [Yes, his response is sarcastic and biting, and maybe he'll regret it someday, but not now.

Now, Hijikata allows himself to bristle a little less when ... "Souji" backs away. Discomfort and extreme shock remain, but as he gives the man a good looking-over for the first time (I mean this guy, Okita Souji. Really? Color him unimpressed), the very first seed of curiosity sets in.

Oh, but we're still hostile with our tone over here, make no mistake.] And what'd you expect? I'd jump for joy at meeting another Souji and we'd all go out drinking?

[He laughs and shakes his head.] No, I don't drink. At least, not much. The taste of it never settled with me.

Does Hijikata-san drink often? The one I know smokes like a kitchen hearth, but you don't seem to smell of tobacco like he does.

...That....wasn't his point, exactly, but okay. He can roll with it. ~~He totally can't roll with it "other hijikata-san" ugh this is ridiculous~~

He lets his gaze fall to the cat, who starts wandering off to find free fish or something wait no kitty don't leave him alone with this guy...!]

I don't like drinking. [The truth is, he has terrible tolerance. Like hell he's gonna admit that though.

But the idea suddenly strikes him as a good one. This seems like a situation worth getting plastered over. The best part is it wouldn't even take very long...]
