Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Squeak! The residents of Luceti would see a rat running through the streets this day. And right behind him, a lion cub giving chase. Simba chases the rodent every which way, not paying any mind or heed to people's feet or what have you. No he's completely focused on the rat, his natural carnivore instincts having taken over. Around in circles, over and under objects, with growls and the thrill of the chase. That is until it suddenly ends with the rat ducking into a hole. Simba skids to a stop, sits on his rump, and pouts.]

Aw man, I almost had him this time.

[A smirk then spreads across Simba's maw as an idea strikes him. He crouches near the hole, tail waving in the air.]

C'mon out little rat, I just wanna play!

[Yeah that toothy grin is really convincing.]

[...Is that a talking lion cub? A talking lion cub that looks like something from one of those old movies he saw as a kid?

Okay, he has to be seeing and hearing things. He'll approach.]

[A pair of beady eyes peer out at the lion cub, then promptly disappear as over-sized paws tried to grab him. He's so consumed with catching the rat that he doesn't even notice someone approaching. He scrapes at the hole for a bit then lean over to peer in. Which turns out to be a bad idea as the rat bites him on the nose.]

Ow!

[Reeling back, he stumbles and falls on his butt yet again, rubbing his nose with a paw indignantly. The rodent takes the opportunity to leap out, chitter angrily, and then run away. Leaving Simba to sit there, glaring.]

Humph! I'll get you next time! Just you wait!

[...It really is a talking cub. 0_o] ...Hello?

[...Should he be disturbing a lion cub at all. Those things know how to tear people up even as itty cubs. 0_o]

[Hearing someone's voice, Simba looks up and blinks.]

Hi?

[Yep, this is one vicious little cub here.]

[calmbeforethe]

[... Oh! A little lion cub! Ororo hadn't seen one in years, not since she crossed the Serengeti in her youth. Wary at first, she watches from a safe distance... until she realizes that the little cub is talking...]

[Color her extremely curious. She'll approach him, thinking that as surprisingly fierce even cubs can be, Storm would probably have no problem escaping if he got hostile.]

[When the rat didn't reappear, Simba backs up, his rear still in the air. Just waiting for that rat to make his appearance. He can't stay in there forever! Right?

...

It's just then that he notices a shadow coming over him and blinks. Looking up from his crouched position he stares up at the lady. ... Then notices the rat as it makes it's escape out of the corner of his eye.]

H-hey!

[Aaaand it's gone. Pouting, he looks up at the lady as if it's her fault.]

[calmbeforethe]

[The lady is floating a few inches off the ground, by the by. She's figured that the easiest way to keep out of his reach would have to be by flight... Though that's looking like a less likely possibility, given that the cub's playful, childish antics.]

[Ororo smiles apologetically.]

Hello. I'm sorry if I distracted you, little one.

[pantheraleo]

[Simba gets to his paws, the end of his tail curling slightly, continuing to frown at this lady he doesn't know.]

I'm not little!

[Okay, so maybe he is, but Simba isn't going to admit to it. He then blinks when he realizes that her feet aren't touching the ground.]

How are you doing that?

[Vert was initially wary, seeing a lion cub running around. After all, it was a lion cub and all. But hearing it talking ... well, that made it a little easier to not be entirely wary of it.

She doesn't want him to lose what she's assuming is supposed to be some kind of meal or something, so while she does follow him, she keeps a bit of a distance.]

[Simba waits... but the rat doesn't reappear. He then decides to try a different strategy and hide's just around the corner of the nearest building.

After a few moments, the rat's head peeks out of the hole, sniffing. It soon carefully emerges. Simba is watching, remembering the lessons he'd gotten from his dad. And then... pounce!

A squeal as the cub's paws, and claws, firmly hold down the rodent.]

Gotcha!

[Once Simba catches the rat, Vert smiles and suddenly speaks, giggling lightly to herself.]

Congratulations!

[Now that he's caught it, Simba realizes that he doesn't actually know what to -do- with it. Um... now what? But some giggling and a voice catches his attention and he looks up in surprise.]

Huh?

[The distraction causes his paws to relax slightly and the rat is able to wriggle free and flee.]
