Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Well you thought right. How are things goin' for you? It's al quite different from the city we used to live in.

You can say that again. I'm still not used to all these trees bein' everywhere.

Guess I can't complain, though. Things haven't been as bad for me as they've been for other people. Got mallynapped once, but nothin' big.

[Except for being made mortal again for a while, but he'll just try not to mention that.]

How about you? You settlin' in okay?

Oh yeah, I'm doin' fine. The folks're nice around here, and I've got you and Czes. Although uh...

[He takes a sip and puts down his glass, smiling still. But he's not too pleased to hear about Firo's experience here.]

I can't appreciate the Malnosso doin' what they like to my friend and Family, so it'd be nice to be able to get out of here as soon as possible.

Yeah...

[Part of him is angry that the Malnosso would drag Maiza to Luceti, but the other, more selfish part is glad to have another person from home to keep him company. Ashamed by that feeling, he stares down at the counter top, absently drumming his fingers on it.]

It'd be nice if they didn't take anybody in the first place. Or if those droids weren't so damn strong.

[His expression sours. First they took his friend and he couldn't do anything, then they went after him and he still couldn't stop them. It's plenty embarrassing for a capo.]

It would be, wouldn't it? [He sighs quietly.]

Eventually, it might be up to those of us here to stop them.

[But he says so quietly, his mind going back to his past for a second. He feels uncertain despite his words. He had been able to gather people under him in the past, but he had never been able to accomplish anything desirable.]

... Well, if anythin' comes up, you should give me a holler. A man has got to help out his friend whenever possible.

[He has to listen closely to hear Maiza's quiet words. There isn't much of a response he can give beside a short nod; after squaring off with the droids twice, he's starting to doubt what he can do against the Malnosso.

But it only takes Maiza's next offer to make Firo half-smile. It's good to have friends to back you up, and he wouldn't dream of not returning the favor. He'll just have to find a way to get stronger, somehow.]

Thanks, Maiza. And you don't hesitate to call me, too, okay?

Course not. I know I can count on you. [Although he's got no plans to put Firo in too much danger.

But he smiles and puts a hand on Firo's shoulder.] Drink up. It's a good night.

[Firo beams back, oblivious to Maiza's thoughts.]

Yeah.

[He takes a sip.]
