Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[ Ikki, for her part, had missed the last Suki - nor had she actually heard about her all that much, except for the vague knowledge that her current room used to belong to Suki and now belonged to Ikki. Suki is another of the people from her long-ago past, and she knows about the woman through stories, and she's already been gag-ordered by pretty much everyone, although not quite in time to save them from...everything else.

She's already dealt with knowing people she never got to know, or knowing them before she got to know them - mostly by being thrilled to spend time with the family that had died before she'd been born, or to get to know Katara, who was but was not quite GranGran.

Suki gets exactly the same treatment. She's family by virtue of (presumably) living in the same house and being a figure in childhood tales, and Ikki zeroes in on her when she notices Suki walking around, stopping her own errand to run over, Soren flying after her. ]

Aunt Suki!! What are you doing? Are you running errands? I'm picking up some fruits and things! Do you like fruit? I love fruit! [ As usual, she jumps right into conversation without a breath for air. ]

[The young airbender certainly surprised Suki. And the questions only threw her off more. But, Ikki did make Suki smile. Despite talking a mile a minute, Suki was happy to talk about something other than her being here before.]

I was just taking a walk, but if you want, I can go get some fruit with you. [It was something to do after all. And besides, Suki wouldn't mind hearing about Ikki's life.]

[breezing]

Oh! Were you going somewhere? I love taking walks, that's how I learned where everything is - I know shortcuts to places, too! [ yes she does refer to her habit of going over and through people's yards why do you ask ]

That'd be great, though!! Then we could carry more back home, right?

No. Not really going anywhere. Just, walking. [She wasn't about to lay ll her problems out to a young girl, so she wasn't going to mention the fact that she was out to get away from everything at "home".]

Yeah. Let's head to the store. I haven't been to it yet anyway.

[breezing]

Oh, it's great! There's chocolate and soda, but we only get those at special times! ...Well, I only get them at special times. Uncle Sokka and Aunt Toph drink a lot of soda, but I'm supposed to drink juice more often. And only one or two sweets a day.

[ man, she sounds so jealous right there. They get all the chocolate they want Suki, and so do you. How is your life anything less than amazing. ]

[Chocolate she knows, but the other thing? Not so much.] What's soda?

[And yeah, she can understand why they limit her on those things.] But, if you had them all the time, they wouldn't be special anymore. Isn't it more fun to have them be a treat? You don't want to get sick and tired of them, do you?

[breezing]

[ oh my god what was everyone else thinking, being all dramatic about Suki being here and telling her about Luceti and somehow forgetting the most basic of basics. Ikki's entire face lights up even more, because she loves getting to do this part, the part where you teach someone about the bubbly wonders of soda that is sweet. ] Oh! Oh, you don't know this is great okay today is going to be THE BEST DAY of your entire life Aunt Suki!!!

[ They're totally going to go into the store even faster now, but Ikki takes Suki's hand and leads her to a different section, bypassing the fruit entirely, because nope. ] I don't, but I don't think I could ever get tired of them!

[Well, this was an interesting turn of events. Not that Suki cared. It was really nice. Plus, having the best day ever after hearing everything she found out today would be great. She even chuckled.] Hopefully I can handle it.

Maybe we can even get something sweet. [Nothing TOO sweet, because Suki isn't really sure she can handle that hyper of an Ikki, but the girl deserves something for making Suki smile.]

[breezing]

I haven't had any sweets today, so we're allowed to do what we're going to do! I just have to tell Katara. [ They reach the section where there are GLORIOUS SODA CANS. They are glorious because Ikki had never seen cans like these before, and the soda was so sweet and bubbly and everyone in the Avatar house can pretty much agree on liking soda.

Ikki finds lemon-lime, since that's the kind Toph likes - she considers going to the orange soda, but figures Suki will get a lot of that from Uncle Sokka - and takes two cans, handing one to Suki immediately. ]

This is soda! You pull the tab like this - [ Demonstrating, pulling it back and waiting for the little clink sound and seeing if Suki can copy that. Which, well. Simplicity itself. ]

[Because it has to happen. Suki stares at the can for a moment, turning it over to examine it. It looks... weird. How did that get a drink in there? And, was this metal? It looked like metal, but it was awfully thin. Without realizing it, Suki was shaking the can some as she looked over it.

But when Ikki opened the can, Suki copied. Only, her's didn't act the same way. Instead, her's sprayed out. It didn't make that big of a mess, but it did make Suki jump.]

SPIRITS! What was that?

[breezing]

[ ...

yeah she should totally add "and don't shake it" to her instructions when she talks about soda, shouldn't she? Still, Ikki just giggles. ] That's what happens when you shake it! ...I'm not sure why, though.

But now drink it!!! [ And she's just. Staring at Suki. Wide-eyed and eager. Waiting for the best day ever to start. And okay Suki probably won't be won over just by a sweet bubbly drink but Ikki can't see how not. ]

This is... pretty weird. [Yes! Suki is pouting. She's embarrassed, okay? Don't judge her.

But, feeling ALL THE AWKWARD, Suki takes a sip of her drink.]

Oh wow! [That was really bubbly. And she's pretty amazed by it.] How did they do that?

[breezing]

[ It's okay, Suki, it happens to lots of people.

Ikki grins widely. ] Right? Isn't it great??? And I dunno! I guess there might be a book about it at the library, but I never went and looked, so I dunno if it's something we could make ourselves.

[ She takes a sip of her own soda, happily. Only one more sweet for her today, but this is totally worth it. ] This is one of the first things Uncle Sokka gave me when I got here! The other was chocolate.

It's pretty good actually. [She might stick with tea, but soda was definitely a good drink. She also can't help but notice how the cans have different colors, so she only takes that to mean one thing.] It comes in a lot of flavors too?

[Have a big smile.] I'm guessing we're going to get some chocolate next?

[breezing]

[ Ikki likes tea, too, but her favourite kind isn't really made here often. ] Yeah! Uncle Sokka likes orange best, but we're drinking lemon lime, which Aunt Toph likes! I like all of them, but the cherry kinds are really good, too!

[ Is Suki a mindreader or what? Yep, Ikki's totally wasting all her allotment of sweets on this outing, and she grins and leads the way to the candy section. There are more choices than she really knows what to do with herself, so she just grabs one of the bars Sokka normally hands to her. ] There are looooooooots of kinds! I haven't even tried them all.

Well, this one is pretty good. But I'll give the others a try and pick my favorite.

[Yup. That's Suki's secret power! She's a mindbender! She's the knower of all.] Okay. These don't pop in your mouth or anything, right?

[they need to try pop rocks.]

[breezing]

We've got a few flavours at home! They're in the fridge.

[ No wonder she makes everyone else nervous... ] Nope!

[ There might be a bag there somewhere, Suki...Ikki hasn't tried them yet, though. ]

Well, those probably belong to someone, so I'll grab my own.

[It also might be because she can kick their butts.]

Alright. Let's try it then. [She unwraps the chocolate and takes a bite.] Mmm! This is good.

[breezing]

Oh, probably! I only get the sodas when someone says I can have one, and that counts as a sweet, y'know? So it depends on if I want that or something else that day! I normally end up having juice and have chocolate for dessert.

[ That might be it, too. ]

[ Ikki's already unwrapped her own while Suki was talking, and she's happily munching away. She loves candy. ] Right?? The food and stuff are some of the really cool things about this place! Although Uncle Sokka got a really bad stomachache the other day 'cause he tried eating a few of everything from the Battle Dome vending machines.

That sounds like a good dessert. When I was growing up, I didn't like sweets at all, so I never had dessert. [And she still isn't the biggest fan.] But I might start having some if it's this good.

Wait? He did? [She can see him doing that. It makes her really happy to. There's been so much change, that a constant is nice to hear.] Good to know some things never change.

[breezing]

At home we had desserts, but they were different from here! Or, well, the ones I had were, y'know?

Yep! He came home and said he was dying and I made him tea and told him stories and he gave me my own wooden boomerang he made for me!

Yeah, I think I get it.

[Talking about Sokka makes her smile though. He was still the sweetest thing ever.]

That was really nice of you, Ikki. Do you still have the boomerang, though?

[breezing]

Yep! It's back in my room, on my dresser. Uncle Sokka promised to give me lessons, too!

You know, if you wanted, I'll happily teach you how to fight with fans.

[breezing]

[ Fighting actual people isn't really her forte - she'll defend, but attacking is a bit hard, still, even with the whole pokemon training thing - but Suki has essentially just offered quality time, which Ikki never turns down.

Besides, watching Suki do the fan thing all on her own is kinda pretty. ]

Really? I'd like that! Y'know, fans'd probably work real well with airbending, too. [ It's an absent-minded statement, and Ikki mimes blowing something with a fan. ]
