Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Oookay. Zuko raises his arm, looks a little bewildered, then bumps his fist against Aang's. Weird. ... Wait a minute.]

How long have you been here?

The barrier's a loss cause! You're not going to be able to go back that way.

[A brief, proud smile at the fistbump's achievement. This must mean they are true bros! But it's quickly gone as he considers how long that he's been here... and that it could mean Zuko doesn't remember.]

Well I went home once but just for one night, so aside from that... it's kind of just a few months away from being a full year.

She, Jayne?

[The list of women that would be found while rifl'n through racks of weapons is a slim one. Zoe wouldn't be hid'n in there and Jayne wouldn't look. It took a bit before it clicked. That gun with the lady's name. Velma? Verla? Mal sits back on his heels for a moment and just watches Jayne work his way through the rack.]

Maybe you'd have more luck if you looked at the rack with guns on it.

[He gives a short nod with a wry smile, just until he can get his voice to work proper.]

Inara. [A beat.] Good to see you look'n well.

[Loki chuckles softly while shifting on the stool he's sitting on, trying to find some balance.]

Thor, I am familiar with beverages like ale or mead. If you wish to order me a glass, feel free to do so.

[He starts eyein' the rest of the shop slowly, a sheepishly goofy grin on his face. He'd just diggin' through shelves one by one, of course. This was all so befuddlin' that Jayne was just a little thrown. Ok, more than a little. This was downright perplexin']

[It seemed like Fayt had learned alot-- that was all Cliff needed to know.]

It'll come up if it comes up, but it's not important. Not here. Don't worry about it.

[ River had the feeling of something different in town when she went to pick up food for herself. Passing by the shops on the way to the grocery store, it clicked. The familiar voice in the throng of New Feather voices. So when Mal comes out of the weapons shop, River will be outside the shop waiting. ]

Saw rifles lined up all nice and pretty along the back wall. Pistols are up there too.

[He hadn't found his just yet, but apparently it took a bit of time. He could wait it out if things stayed calm. Even if he was gett'n a little itchy being on solid ground for so long.]

[Like usual he didn't much hear her before she spoke up. Not that she spoke up with much sense whenever he was about t'hear, but something short, sweet, and so sudden to the left has Mal jump'n just a little bit and whirling to give the girl a look.]

Alright, I think I'm starting to get it. You're one of those guys with a running theme. [A really creepy running theme.] I guess there's nothing wrong with wanting better things out of life.

We arrived separately. For me it'll be two years as of this upcoming March, while Scully arrived the November of that same year. [The details come to mind easily for him.] In the beginning, I never would have imagined that I'd be here for such a long time, but this place is a greater challenge than anything we've faced before.

[A pause while he considers. Despite how many exciting, unusual things he's seen while here, the fact of the place still remains. The fact of being a prisoner and test subject never goes away.] And... I'm sorry you got drawn into it.

[He's already lost his two informants before her, and he doesn't want to see something happen to her here.]

[After Zuko is back from the barrier, Sokka finds the poor Fire Lord on the bench. He tsks at him and shakes his head.]

I see you've already assumed the proper position for your Luceti experience.

[Yes. This is Sokka. He's taller, better built, hairier, and yes - he he has a beard. Such is the passage of time.]

[ She briefly looks away, pressing her lips into a thin line, almost wishing that he wasn't so sincere about it. The inevitable pull from these things, she supposes, are something one never escapes when they have fallen so deep into the rabbit hole regardless of what universe or world they reside in. The powers are always the same, they just speak different languages. ]

Thank you. [ Her voice is quiet and less-strong than usual, but vulnerability is not something she wears easily like her suits, so she pushes it away as fast as she can, regardless of who is administering the apologies. ] But...

[ She finds it harder and harder to look back at him, but she forces herself to. If it were not for that, it would look as if Mulder were conversing with a mannequin or statue with how straight her back is or how evened her shoulders are. ]

There is no need for apologies now. With no apparent exposè here I am sure there is something that can be done about the higher powers that reign here. Experimentation without any reason doesn't make any sense if everyone here knows they are being experimented on.

[At this Zuko came to a sudden hault and turned to face Roku with a scowl.]

You have any better ideas?!

[Clearly he seemed to think that he wouldn't, but then something caught his eye that he hadn't noticed previously. For now Zuko is staring at Roku.]

[And for a moment Zuko just stares. That is until he throws his hands up in the air while making a frustrated sound.]

This is crazy!

[And now the Fire Lord is stomping off.]

[Grumbling up a storm, the big man stomped over to where Mal'd said, and began pawing through the racks, mutterin' sullenly to himself. He could definitely get that Mal was feelin' the same way. A bad way.]

Cap'n, where in the gorram 'Verse are we? I'm gettin' a sense we ain't leavin' anytime soon...

[Zuko has seen and heard a lot of weird things today. And when he looks up, he sees yet another. He can only stare for several moments, but once he's done staring, the Fire Lord growls and bends over to grip his head with both hands.]

Leave me alone!

[No "Hi how are you doing Sokka?" or "Hey man it's nice to see you!" ... Nope.]

[he doesn't move, but he does frown and cross his arms.]

Well, it's nice to see you haven't lost your sunny disposition.

Now you're starting to get it. Maybe it makes me a little predictable, but I do enjoy being thought of as memorable. So how about it? You going to take my advice?

Well that's disappointing. There's nothing worse than people who have tricked themselves into thinking they already have everything they want.

[She stopped for a moment. His words really hurt her, which made her glad she was wearing her mask.]

I already had everything I could ever need. [And she wanted it back, but she could never really have it back.] And asking for it again wouldn't be fair.
