Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Zuko | Avatar: The Last Airbender

Zuko hadn't exactly arrived gracefully, and it had been known all across the journals in an angry explosion of flaming temper. This was all a farse, it just had to be. Nevermind that there were a pair of wings on his back to prove that it wasn't. This was all just too strange and bizarre for him to process clearly and believe, even though deep down he couldn't really deny it... yet did anyway.

They had told him it was impossible to leave, but that wasn't about to stop him from trying. He was the Fire Lord dammit, and nobody could tell him that he couldn't leave. Someone had told about the barrier, and Zuko was stubborn and stupid enough to march out there and find out for himself just how impenetrable this thing was.

After getting himself some suitable clothes and a hooded cloak to protect him from the cold, he sets out walking towards the barrier.

Zuko eventually returns like a dog with his tail tucked between his legs. The almighty Fire Lord had failed spectacularly at trying to get through the barrier. Cold, hungry, and angry, he drags himself back into town and finds a random bench to crash on. It's here that he begins to appropriately sulk.

(( Feel free to try and stop him from stupidly going out to the barrier, or you can run into him at the barrier, or find his pathetic self upon his return! ))

[Roku was just heading on back home when the hooded figure walked passed him. He'd just let the guy be on his way except for the fact there was a scar on his face and it...was vaguely familiar.

...

Wait a minute.] Zuko?

[lordhotman]

[Hearing his name, Zuko stops in his tracks and turns to look at the person who uttered it. There's a notably sour look on the boy's face, but also a trace of surprise as he realizes he doesn't recognize this person.]

Who are you?

[And more importantly.]

How do you know my name?

[flameoroku]

...You don't remember? [He doesn't remember Luceti, does he?]

Uh well, we got acquainted through some of your friends, Sokka and Katara. The name's Roku.

[lordhotman]

[Judging by the look on Zuko's face, he clearly doesn't.]

No, I don't remember ever meeting you.

[However, the fact that he knows Sokka and Katara is noteworthy and he faces Roku more appropriately. This giving him the chance to give the guy a better look over.]

You're Fire Nation.

[The clothes, hair, and name said it all. Although while the name did strike a certain chord, it wouldn't exactly be unheard of for someone to be named after the late Avatar.]

[flameoroku]

Oh, well...we sort of met when you were here before, but I guess you don't remember that now.

[It's a real shame really...but at least he has some ideas of how to talk to Zuko now.]

And that's right, I am. What are you doing out here and when did you get here?

[lordhotman]

[Wait wat. Roku's question gets tuned out in favor of boggling over what he'd said before. Zuko giving him a stunned look.]

What are you talking about? I've been here before?!

[That's... news to him.]

[flameoroku]

Twice, since I've been here. Both times you forgot you were here before.

[lordhotman]

[TWICE? Zuko practically sputters at that. It wasn't exactly something he could easily believe.]

That's impossible!

[With that the Fire Lord growls and proceeds to stalk away. He wasn't taking any more of this crap. It didn't make a bit of sense! He's so getting out of here.]

[flameoroku]

[ajksghjsak Well Roku's not gonna leave you wondering on your own.]

Well have you talked to the others yet? Where are you going?

[savedtheworld]

[While on his way to the barrier, Zuko may hear a very familiar roar as a very familiar shape drifts overhead. Aang's taking the bison out for a ride around Luceti. They're not too high above, although Aang thinks those robes look familiar, he doesn't recognize just yet because of the hood.]

[lordhotman]

[Yes, that did sound familiar. And it was about time too. He was getting pretty sick of all these strange new things that made absolutely no sense.

Zuko stops and looks up, using a hand to shield his eyes from the sun as he spots Appa. This should help give Aang a view of his face.]

[And Aang's face lights up when he recognizes him - Appa is almost instantly changing direction and being brought to a swift landing nearby.]

ZUKO!

[lordhotman]

[Robes ruffled by the wind of the bison's landing, Zuko just stands there and stares, completely dumbfounded by Aang's exuberant arrival.]

Aang?

[So he's here too. Well, the sight of Appa made that a bit obvious, but still.]

[Aang slides down from Appa and runs towards him. It's been a good few months since he left.]

It's great to see you again!

[He's ready to jump into a hug when he remembers what Shikamaru taught him about the "bro codes". So he stops and stiffly holds out his fist.]

[lordhotman]

[Great to see him again? Zuko blinks at this. To him it felt like he just saw Aang like... yesterday.]

Uh... yeah.

[Zuko stares at the fist.]

What are you doing?

[savedtheworld]

Oh, this? [He blinked before looking at his fist with a nervous chuckle.] This is the bro's fist! I learned it here, it's what guys are supposed to do instead of hugs! [He looks proud of what he's learned, even though hey, he'll always be a hugger at heart.]

[lordhotman]

[Zuko just stares with this odd look on his face. Clearly he has no idea how this "bro's fist" is supposed to be done.]

[savedtheworld]

[He raises an eyebrow. He just assumed Zuko automatically knew lots of cool things.]

You just gotta raise your fist... and bump it to mine!

[markofthewise]

[After Zuko is back from the barrier, Sokka finds the poor Fire Lord on the bench. He tsks at him and shakes his head.]

I see you've already assumed the proper position for your Luceti experience.

[Yes. This is Sokka. He's taller, better built, hairier, and yes - he he has a beard. Such is the passage of time.]

[lordhotman]

[Zuko has seen and heard a lot of weird things today. And when he looks up, he sees yet another. He can only stare for several moments, but once he's done staring, the Fire Lord growls and bends over to grip his head with both hands.]

Leave me alone!

[No "Hi how are you doing Sokka?" or "Hey man it's nice to see you!" ... Nope.]

[markofthewise]

[he doesn't move, but he does frown and cross his arms.]

Well, it's nice to see you haven't lost your sunny disposition.

[lordhotman]

[Zuko growls at that, but at this point he's too tired to throw another tantrum. Instead he lets his upper body fall forward onto his legs, letting his arms dangle. His voice slightly muffled as he speaks.]

This place is crazy, and so is everyone in it! Nothing makes sense!

[He shakes his head.]

Relax, Zuko. I know, it's crazy. I mean, I have wings. I'm used to them. And sure, you have the memory of a goldfish shrimp. But if everyone got out on their first day, then... well, you'd be here all alone scratching your head in an empty village.

[lordhotman]

[Zuko looks up and sighs. He'll ignore that goldfish shrimp comment.]

I guess you're right. ... But how can everyone just sit here and accept it? How can you accept it?
