Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Not that Alex is taking advantage of the liberal policy on "drinking age" here in Luceti.

Vodka is good. She likes vodka. Especially mixed with fruit juice, like she has now.

She raises it in a toast.]

[He raises his beer in return, giving Alex a nod and a pleased smile as he does. He laughs in amusement before taking a large swig of the drink.]

Drinking is always more pleasurable with a partner. [Especially when you've been incredibly restless in a place like this.] Tell me, what is your name?

I'm Alex. Nice to meet you.

[She holds out her hand on the assumption that he'll shake it and offer his name, too.]

The pleasures all mine.

[He takes her hand and gives it an enthusiastic shake.] I am Thor, son of Odin. I've not been here long, so I've yet to meet many others not from my own world.

[His curiousity overcomes him.] How long have you been here, Alex?

[Thor. Odin. She knows those names. But. Well. If vampires are real, why not gods? And just in case they're not, she won't ask. She's learned not to mention things like that.

Doesn't end well for her.]

Three weeks. It's... pretty weird, all things considered. But I don't mind this place too much.

[By now, Thor is more than willing to explain Asgard and the people who live there to Midgardians. He actually thinks he's become quite good at it.]

Not bad. [He nods.] It has its charms, but I have my own obligations back home that I must attend to.

Yeah, yeah. [She almost sounds like she's sulking. Scratch that, she is sulking.] So do I.

But the forced vacation's kind of cool.

[He notices the sulking and gives her a sympathetic look.]

Are you not fond of the world you came from, Alex?

I... I am. Just...

Don't always like the job I've got. Important, know I have to do it, all that. But... It's nice to have a break.

That much I can sympathise with.

I myself play an important role in my own world, I can't imagine ever taking a break of my own volition. [He grins a little.] Were it not for such suspicious behaviour and experiments, I'd say that the grand design behind this place was to force us all on some sort of extended leave.

[Alex smiles.]

I usually don't mind. I mean, what I do isn't that important. But it keeps me pretty busy.

So, this forced vacation? It's kind of a nice excuse not to worry about all of that, you know?

[And she orders another drink.]

Positivity in the face of dire situations is considered a noble trait, you know? It's rather refreshing to be faced with someone pleased with their situation.

That said, I suppose there is little we can do. Nobody seems to know the way out.

A noble trait? Just called "optimism" where I'm from.

[She smiles a little.] Guess we're stuck here for awhile.

Forgive me, I've been informed that my manner of speaking is rather formal. It's a matter of dialect, it seems.

If you do not mine me asking, what realm do you hail from?

It's nice. The way you talk, I mean. Sure, it's formal and sounds a little old-fashioned, but I like that. Besides, it does a girl's ego good -- I've never been called noble before.

[she tries to sound like she's totally joking, but part of her is touched at the description, at the idea.]

Not sure about realms. I know someone who'd really be able to answer that, but he's not here. I'm from Delaware, if that helps.

You believe so? I am most flattered. I can't imagine mincing my words, so I suppose bodes well for me if others find it pleasant.

I find that hard to believe, Alex. [She seems a noble sort.]

I've not heard of Delaware, is it located in Midga-- Earth?

Yeah. It's on Earth. Little place, and I live in a really small town.

[She is, admittedly, fascinated now.]

Where are you from?

I am well versed in small, Earth towns. I spent a great deal of time in one.

[Nobody needs to know why he was there. Nobody.]

The realm of Asgard, have you not heard of it?

We have stories about an Asgard. [And a Thor, but it might be best not to say that.] But I don't know if it's the same thing or they just happen to share a name.

It would not be of much surprise to me if you did! I'm not the only one of my kind to visit Earth, we do like to stir up a bit of fun in order to have out egos strokes, I am sure such things are documented!

[Alex grins.]

If it is the same Asgard, it's mentioned a lot in a [ancient, no longer practiced] religion.
