Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Jack was just on his library rounds for any mousy looking ladies in need of some attention, but he stops as he comes across Blue and his comics. He scratched his chin thoughtfully before slamming his hands on the desk.]

Blue! Have you seen any Jack Tales yet?

[ The slam jolts him and then he realizes it's just Jack. ]

Nope, and I haven't been looking either. I wasn't much of a fan, not like Fly or the cubs.

God. I wish you were Fly, sometimes.

[He stands up again and crosses his arms.]

I can't believe those suits are gonna make me buy my own damn movies and comics with their mission points.

Fly has more important things to do than be here.

[ He shrugs and closes the current comic he was reading, all cowboys and vampires and the like. ]

Are you really going to waste your points on that crap? The storylines were weak.

It wasn't the story. It was the characters. The emotion! The drama! We're talking about the highest grossing movies of all time.

[He huffs and spins around.]

This is why I didn't give you a cameo.

Yeah, thanks for that by the way.

[ He stays sitting, rolling his eyes at Jack's antics. ]

Your movies were just an ego boosting power play.

Yeah, duh. Doesn't mean they weren't great. If you want success, you've got to sell success.

And steal all the startup money from Fabletown.

I stole money that was essentially already stolen. Fabletown conspired to kill Bluebeard off- not that I miss the bastard, so they could get at his money. Well I took my share and invested it. And hell, Fabletown is getting rich off my hard earned profits.

That was never your money, you didn't have anymore right to it than anyone else. You abandoned Fabletown and if Beast hadn't tracked you down we never would have seen a cent of it. And then you got what you deserved.

Blue, you're kind of a dick sometimes. I can't believe Rose Red was into you.

[ He barely bites back what he wants to say. ] She only liked me when I was dying.

And post-death too. That girl was a mess.

How did you even see her? You were banished that means you don't go back except to have your head cut off.

I went to the Farm. Technically not Fabletown! Which was destroyed, by the way.

Yeah I was aware of that part. [ He groans ] What do you even want Jack? We already established I don't care about your stupid comics or your movies.

[Jack sits down in the chair opposite of Blue, uninvited and unwanted.]

Do you know how long it's been since I saw Snow? Rose? Or hell, Bigby? Ten years. Some people in Fabletown may not have liked me much, sure, I get that. But that place was home. There's never been anywhere in any world that I ever stayed in one place as long as I did there.

But I've got the shittiest luck around, because you're the only reminder of the place that's around here.

Thanks. I have a stunning track record of being no one's first choice for anything. [ So much for being Fortune's favorite son. ]

...Why did you leave, anyways?

The town was going to hell. Mayor Cole may have been a bit thick, but he knew what he was doing. But you guys put Charming in charge, just when the Adversary was fixing to deal with us? Bad move. It's no wonder the town went to charcoal. I got out while the getting was good. Looks like it was a good move.

[But. He leans back and scratches his chin.] That and I was tired of my ass getting kicked by Bigby and stupid wooden soldiers.

That's the funny thing about having a home Jack, you don't bail on it when times get hard. You do what you can to make it better. Even if it means you get screwed over more than a few times.

[ He flips the pages of the comic he was reading, suddenly less in the mood for distractions. ]

Plus I didn't even vote for Charming.

Yeah, well, when I thought Fabletown was going downhill, I didn't exactly envision it being a crater. Besides, I got exiled, remember? If you guys had called me up, I'd have done the hero thing for you guys, no sweat.

You got exiled because you broke one of the biggest rules. If you hadn't done that you could have come back at any moment you wanted.

[ A pause ]

And you missed your chance to find out where all your magic beans went.

Did not. I hid them. Ya know, somewhere secret. Just in case.

Not secret enough I guess, Fabletown used them all to invade the homelands through the cloud kingdom.
