Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Columbia. [She looks thoughtful for a moment.] I haven't heard of it, I'm afraid.

But we didn't really have much in the way of music in Rapture, so it's rather nice to hear...well, anything, honestly.

[She pulls the helmet off again and frowns at it.] I suppose it would be...awesome...if it were actually working.

[She sighs.]

Oh... Yeah. Right. [He laughs nervously, feeling slightly embarrassed. He kind of got carried away just now, whoops.] I'm not sure if I can fix it, but I can take a look at it, if you want.

Usually I can fix things like this. Well, I haven't really had much cause since I was fairly small, but...

[But she was pretty sure she still knew how. Still, she flips it over to let him have a look inside.]

I wonder what could be wrong... I mean, if it's a speaker, there's no reason why it shouldn't work here.

[At least, he thinks so. He takes the radio from her and looks it over. Hmm... As expected, it's a little older than the technology he's used to.]

[Circa the 1960s, actually. She frowns.]

I don't actually think it was damaged here.

[She taps a dent on the outside of the helmet where the radio sits inside.]

A splicer got off a lucky shot and dented the helmet. I believe that's what broke it.

[Goku has been in Luceti for a few days and has taken to spending all of his time in the forest on the outskirts of the village. One can often spot him climbing trees and jumping from one branch to the other with spectacular agility and balance one wouldn't expect of someone his age. After a long afternoon one might also come across him asleep up in one of those trees, one arm or leg dangling down off a branch.]

[Goku has somehow obtained some paper and crayons and is laying across the bench near the fountain. If anyone walking by happens to look over his shoulder they will see one of two things; five stick figures of varying height and hair color all standing next to each other and smiling, or a very recognizable and detailed coloring of a meat bun.]

[ So Luceti's got the world's greatest earthbender back. No big. It's just been pretty weird since people she's never met keep coming up to her and treating her like they know her. But the weirder thing is being in a house with the best friends she's ever had but not really recognizing them. They were old! And different! Also, that house is full of drama.

So Toph can usually be found outside. She'd rather be dealing with random people than with the rest of the people "from her world" for now. Shelter's not hard to find, anyway - rock tents are easy to make. Which is why she's setting one up just on the outskirts of town, near the barracks. Because that place sounds like her kinda scene.

Catch her camping out, or challenging you to a duel! ]

[ So, shelter was easy! But food was trickier. Sure it's all free, but it's hard to tell what's what in a grocery with wooden floors ok. Toph wanders into the store, staring aimlessly around and trying to follow her other senses to the produce section. Somehow she keeps finding her way to shelves with bags that made weird crinkly sounds instead.

She tosses yet another bag of chips over her shoulder and continues down the aisle. ]

What's a girl gotta do for an apple around here...

[And Aang's head pops out from a nearby aisle - he didn't know Toph was going shopping, too. Here he was, with his arms full of ingredients for some veggie soup.]

An apple? Leave it to me, Toph!

[The fire is enough to attract Elizabeth's attention, the burning tree has her staring. Because wow, setting a tree on fire. That seems very familiar.]

[She stands, staring until it goes out. How it managed to simply extinguish itself, Elizabeth isn't sure...]

[And Elizabeth is not one of those modern music aficionados. But she does lean on the piano and bounce on her toes to the music.]

[ WOAH ]

Make some noise, Twinkletoes! [ She glares in his general direction. Gosh, she hates wooden floors so much. ]

[Eleanor doesn't seem to realize she has an audience yet, half-turning from her tree and holding her hand out towards her belongings on the ground nearby. Another shimmered swirl in the air and a knife spins itself into the air and flips towards her, and the teen catches it by the handle. Okay. So that still worked...]

[It's the danger sense that everyone in Rapture developed eventually that has the hair on the back of her neck standing on end, and she turns suddenly to peer towards Elizabeth, her eyes narrowed for a moment. Right...no splicers here besides herself, not everyone is a threat...maybe she was upset about the tree?]

Ah...I'm sorry about the tree, if it mattered. ...Can I help you?

[Her accent seems to be some hard-to-narrow mix of Irish and British.]

[And the sight of her moving even a little to the music? Makes Robert smile to himself. It's nice to see it, to see her happy. Happier than she would have been in Columbia, at least.

He tries to hide a smile as he looks up.]

Anything you'd like to hear?

Huh? Okay!

[Aang starts to, loudly yet softly, tapdance in place.]

[She throws back the liquor, hissing through her teeth lowly at the bite.]

I guess mine was a bit better. Although, waking up on the beach in a thin white dress that I'd never seen before and to discover wings, no matter the weather, is disconcerting.

[She doesn't know Styx, Cliff. Please explain?]

Mm, I like almost all of Albert Fink's music. It's so different. [Elizabeth looks thoughtful for a moment.] I heard something come out of a tear once. Something about girls wanting to have fun... Do you know anything like that?

[Robert doesn't smile. No. He smirks. And begins to play.

After about thirty seconds, he has to confess, still playing:] Rosalind hated this song.

So I learned it to annoy her. [...Sometimes they really were like siblings.]

It's not surprising, really. Most here haven't. [Whether that's a good thing or a bad... he isn't quite sure. After all, there are so many alternatives. It's quite interesting to a theorist.]

Music is a hobby of mine. Not a serious study, I'm sorry to say.

[Well, Rei's out visiting the forest for a picnic today and lo and behold what does she find but Goku scampering through trees. The boy had been one of the first people she'd met in Luceti and...as odd as it was having a strange younger version of the legendary Monkey King around, she had to admit he was pretty nice and not at all like the stories.

Waving, she calls up.]

Hello Goku-san.

Yes, this is it! [Elizabeth is delighted, despite Rosalind's opinion of the song. She even has to laugh when Robert admits that he learned it to irritate his 'sibling'. The few times Elizabeth had seen them, they had seemed very attached to one another...]

[She falls into a solo-waltz step (because what else did you do when there was no one to learn with you?), hands clasped behind her back, thoughtful.] You must miss her very much...

[Goku drops down to a lower branch right above her head and waves down at her.]

Hi Rei-chan! What'cha got there? [He eyes her basket curiously, nose picking up the scent of food.]

[ Toph pauses for a minute, trying to figure out what Aang was now doing. ]

... What are you doing?

[Fayt pulls off his glasses, grinning a bit as he makes his way over. While he definitely wouldn't wish for people he knew to get trapped here, he had to admit it was nice to see a familiar face.

He takes note of the comment about not seeing him again. What time was she from...?] Pretty good, I guess. You? It's great to see you again.
