Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Eleanor doesn't seem to realize she has an audience yet, half-turning from her tree and holding her hand out towards her belongings on the ground nearby. Another shimmered swirl in the air and a knife spins itself into the air and flips towards her, and the teen catches it by the handle. Okay. So that still worked...]

[It's the danger sense that everyone in Rapture developed eventually that has the hair on the back of her neck standing on end, and she turns suddenly to peer towards Elizabeth, her eyes narrowed for a moment. Right...no splicers here besides herself, not everyone is a threat...maybe she was upset about the tree?]

Ah...I'm sorry about the tree, if it mattered. ...Can I help you?

[Her accent seems to be some hard-to-narrow mix of Irish and British.]

[If it mattered? Well, it was a dead tree, so it wasn't far from firewood anyway.]

No... I ah, don't mind the tree. I've just never seen a fire put out that fast.

I didn't mean to stare, I'm sorry.

It's fine. [Eleanor shook her head.] I keep forgetting their aren't any other splicers here.

[She looks back at the tree and shrugs.]

I used force to blow the fire out. I suppose I'm lucky I didn't just knock the tree over...

[A lack of oxygen would put the fire out, definitely. Perhaps that was what had happened.]

I know someone who can produce fire with his hand, but he can't put it out as far as I know... [Elizabeth watches the tree smolder, dubiously.] There could be another 'splicer' around here though. What are they?

Splicers are...[Eleanor didn't like thinking of herself that way, but after everything that had been done to her, it was...accurate enough.]

People who have had their genetic code 'spliced' with enhancements or powers. Usually with a syringe. As far as I can tell, they were just limited to Rapture...

...You know someone else who can create fire with their hand?

[Maybe there WAS a splicer here. Given how many of them were insane though...]

I don't know if he's had his genetic code 'spliced', but he can create fire with his hand. And electricity. His name's Booker, Booker DeWitt. And he's in Luceti with me.

I don't know if he's ever been to 'Rapture' though. He's from New York.

New York. [Eleanor smiles faintly.] I always wanted to go there. Some of the people in Rapture were from there...

But if he has powers like that...well, the only way to have them, at least where I come from, is splicing.

I'm not sure how he manages it. From what I can tell, he drinks a vigor out of a bottle, then he starts screaming and seeing something... and then he can do strange things. Like lift people into the air or charge them.

Where is Rapture? I've never heard of that city! [Elizabeth smiles back.]

[Eleanor's expression is thoughtful, and a tad distracted really, so her voice is distant as she answers.]

It's...on the bottom of the north Atlantic. It was built in the 1940s but I'm from 68... Most people haven't heard of it, it's a pretty well kept secret, from what I understand. I-

[Subject chaaange.]

...He drank something, and then he screamed and his body changed, and he had powers. Basically, is that how it worked? Fire across his hands, or...swirling all the things around him maybe, or freezing over? Like a side-effect of the plas...the tonic taking hold?
