[Nami, don't give her an actual reason to attack you, it's awfully hard to keep a promise not to kill anyone when they act like stuck up little turds. At the least Perona doesn't care much to really off anyone that's not a threat. She merely rolls her eyes and points her index finger in two directions, the hollows flying off respectively. She'll need them to scout ahead, just in case, and hopefully find a port...or this so-called village.]

[Perona, you are not only a hypocrite but you are a living, walking reminder to Nami of why she shouldn't bother ever trying to be nice to anyone. Out of deference to you being new, she won't tell you to get the hell out of her orchard. (Also out of defence to those freaky ghosts. Shh.)

But as to that question.]

You're the one who thinks I'm beneath you. Hanging out with someone like Arlong shouldn't be that much of a stretch to the imagination. [The heat's gone right out of her words.]

[Excuse you, she has a wonderful reason not to like or trust you or any member on your crew who isn't a green-haired swordsman.

She frowns though, not entirely liking the answer nor the tone of this woman's voice. Ugh, she knew there was a reason she disliked these people...they're so snippy and ill-tempered! Whatever, it's not like she's trying to make friends or anything, she just wanted information the quickest and easiest way possible. Unfortunately, she has to do more work getting useful information, sadly. At the very least her ghostly scouts are getting some good info for her. And even more fortunate was that this woman wasn't lying - there was a village in the direction she indicated, not too far away, either. Hopefully they could find a port, too.]

That's not the answer I was looking for, but I suppose it really is none of my business, is it? [Yeah, she knows you don't trust her, and she could care less.] I just didn't think someone with a bounty already, half his own, would care you associate with him. [Nami's response is to twitch an eyebrow.

Then she does a sharp turn and stalks two steps to the right, digging her toes under the leather edge of a book on the ground, and kicks it up in the direction of Perona's head.]

Read up. It's yours. [Even says PERONA on the front.] It'll tell you all you want to know.

[With a sharp yelp, Perona hands go up reflexively and catch the journal before it does any real damage. It still hit her, but no where near as hard as it could have. Rrrgh--! Damn woman! She ought to just pluck that ripe little orange of a head right off her shoulders, the blasted witch. ...Or just go with the classic. Don't mind that cute giggling ghost heading your way, Nami. 8D

Meanwhile, Perona's going to sneak a peek into this little book...thing.]

This has my name on it...but I don't remember ever owning such an ugly book. Or one as strange as this. [Why are there buttons in a book, wht the fuck even.]
