Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[No one could ever really account for the wings. Even Cliff, after spending eight months in the enclosure, had yet to find a way to truly compensate for the annoying and detrimental appendages. The best option he found so far was various methods of binding them down...but that restricted movement, and they still hurt like a bitch if you landed on them.

He needed to rework a few of his moves because of that, but the core was always recognizable for what it is. People rarely deviated too far from the norm-- it was why he narrowed his eyes attentively when he caught a glimpse of Albel at the forest's edge.

Although they weren't friends (and actually quite far from it), there were certain trials that forged a camaraderie between people regardless of their wishes. He and Albel had bloodied eachother up something horrible at least once. They had also fought a thousand year old dragon alongside eachother.

Albel had something far worse than anything the clinic would offer waiting for him in their apartment-- that was why Cliff approached.

To stop him.]

Yo.

[A simple word in greeting, take it or leave it. Cliff was playing it casual, but even he was concerned about his rival.]

[Albel had all the luck, clearly. He gave the big, blonde idiot a bland look, wondering why the hell he was bothering. To mock him? That was the only reason he could think of at least.]

Go on. Get it all out now, fool.

[Cliff scratched the back of his head, preemptively trying to calm himself for the inevitable problems that Albel's attitude would cause.]

Heh. Please. Why would I get anything out on you now?

[A nod, off in the opposite direction.]

We're gonna get that-- [He pointed at Albel's injured wing--] Taken care of Asap. [Pronounced 'Ay-sap'. Have fun translating that one, Albel.]

[Ay-sap...? What on...]

Can't you speak correctly like the rest of us?

[He stumbled forward a bit, his clawed hand reaching out to dig into a try and brace himself.]

Spare me your false sympathy. I'm fine.

[Speak correctly? What the hell was Albel talking about?]

Shaddup, you. This ain't about sympathy That wing of your's isn't gonna get better for another week now matter what happens, but I know a few people who can at least help a little.

[Speak something he can understand! Translation effects only work on words that make sense.]

[Speaking of, if looks were words, the expression on Albel's face would have screamed, "Eff off," loud enough to be heard through the entire village. He dragged his claws off the tree bark, leaving pointed marks behind.]

I don't need your help.

[Cliff's expression was just as pointed, retaliating with an 'no u' in a childishly stubborn and demanding voice. Loud, Rough, and not known to Play Nice.]

Who said it was a suggestion?

[He stalked over, cracking his knuckles as he approached. It was a statement of fact.]

[Injured or not, instincts kicked in immediately, and Albel hunched back with his sword drawn.]

Do not test me, worm! I am in no mood for entertaining you.

[Cliff immediately fell into a fighting stance upon Albel's move, prepared for any motion that the nigh rabid dragon of the Black Brigade might pull on him.]

Who said anything about entertainment here?

[He wasn't going to play nice. He'd pummel Albel if it meant getting him some non-Symbological treatment.]

Then be gone from my sight, maggot!

[Even with his injury, Albel made striking out at Cliff look like it was nothing to him. Even still, he had learned, at least, a little something from being around their group for as long as he had. He aimed to knock him away (with maybe a few cuts and bruises) instead of out right going for the kill.]

Like hell I will!

[Albel's restraint was duly noted and appreciated, although Cliff was just as willing to play on the same level. He dodged the blade-- bullets don't work, after all-- and moved to strike Albel on the shoulder with a well placed fist.

It wouldn't severely injure Albel if it hit, but it would drive the point home.]

[Oh it hit all right, and normally it wouldn't have hurt so bad. Normally Albel would have just let adrenaline drive him on to strike harder. Instead he faltered, his footing clearly unsteady.]

[Just as planned.

Cliff took advantage of the lax footing to wrap his arm around Albel's waist, clearly planning on tossing the man over his shoulder.]

Alley--oop!

[What. What. What?!]

[Albel flailed, beating a fist against Cliff's back.]

Put me down at once!

Tch.

[The flailing was very amusing to the Klausian, unfortunately.]

What, and let you be stupid? Nah, too easy.

You...!

[Drop him, dammit! He has a claw and he's not afraid to use it!]

[Drop him? Never!]

Hm? You scared or something?

[He was just content to keep taunting Albel as he casually went toward the clinic. There was something there that had to help.]

Scared? Of what, exactly?!

[Excuse him while he tries to kick Cliff... never mind he'd probably hurt his foot.]

I refuse to suffer through this indignity!
