Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Albel supposed it was to be expected, giving his fighting style usually left him hunched over in some manner at any given time. Injuries were to be expected, it was how you learned, a fact he was intimately familiar with. That being said, having one of the infernal wings he had been cursed with damaged was in competition with becoming the most painful thing he had experienced in his life.]

[The injury hadn't been much, with only the edge of a wing getting clipped, but it was enough that he had to rely on pure adrenaline to slaughter the creature that attacked him, and left him stumbling for a tree to lean against. The pain left him disoriented, and the wing hung low, like it was just hanging off a hinge.]

[Still he was too stubborn and prideful to yell for help. Instead, he stumbled along the forest path, reaching out to use the trees to help keep balance; if he could at least get to somewhere he could be treated, then he wouldn't have to worry about the nagging he would no doubt get by the time he had stumbled into the clinac.]

What do you mean there's no food?!

[Eiko says--or rather screams--to absolutely no one in particular, instead venting her frustration by stomping and chucking her basket aside. Said basket may or may not be chucked with enough force to hit someone. This is what happens when you tell a six-year-old girl with an unfortunate habit of hoarding food when left to her own devices that there is, in fact, no dinner tonight.

Of all the bad timing, it had to happen on her first day here too! After another unfortunate ordeal which involved her somehow getting stuck on top of the schoolhouse, she was practically starving--no, dying--by now, and the sound of her empty stomach could probably be heard from a good distance away. She had no problems getting groceries here before on her last visit to Luceti, so why was today any different?]

[Someone didn't sound happy... and naturally Eley had to find out just what was going on. The first thing the Spirit noticed was a basket flying straight towards him, but thankfully he managed to deflect it with a gust of wind before it ended up smacking him in the face. Looking around, it isn't long before he notices a small figure at the source of the object's path. Someone who seemed familiar.

He'll just... be standing over here, hoping that she might notice him if he pipes up.]

[Cassie didn't have such a hard time adjusting to this new place as she thought she would. It was easier because she had her friends...her family here. The people she cared for most were here and they helped her, a lot, and she really needed it. After watching her father die, again, she needed friends again.

Now though, she wasn't with them. She finally felt comfortable doing her own thing. It wasn't a bad thing that she was alone messing with the controls in the Battle Dome. She just happened to wake up early and decided to try it out. She sadly wasn't doing a very good job with it though, so if anyone happened to walk in on her, they could catch the teenager yelling at the controls, trying to figure out exactly what she did wrong.]

[Well, Aladdin thought he could handle pretty much anything you could throw at him. He'd adjusted- sort of- to being away from Agrabah and his friends. He could handle the weird Shifts. He could take all the strange and magical people he'd encountered since living here- he was, after all, friends with a genie.

But there was, it turns out, one challenge that Aladdin wasn't quite prepared for, after a life in the desert.]

"How does anybody live like this?"

[It's not often Aladdin updates his wardrobe, but now he speaks from deep within the voluminous confines of a big, plush, fluffy jacket, the hood pulled tight against his face.]

"It's been getting colder for weeks. When does it go back to normal around here?"

[And the sad part is, it's only October.]

[Your hood is now blue. And has a face. That is talking to Al.]

If you want things to get warmer, hun, you could start with your attitude.

[And just like that, the hood's back to normal. Only now there are several Genies surrounding Aladdin and taking his measurements.]

More importantly, let's working on your fashion. That big old hoodie's a no-no. Isn't that right?

[Another Genie transforms to resemble Tyra Banks.] I'm afraid that as it is, you're not ready to be Luceti's next top model. [That genie then poofs away.]

See, kid? Now, Al, my man! Let's have a tour of our extensive winter catalogue!

"Winter... what?"

[Aladdin made several undignified attempts to shake off the team of Genies trying to measure him. It didn't matter how many times it happened, somehow a swarm of Genies trying to groom and primp him always seemed to catch him off guard.]

"I don't need clothing, Genie. The shop has all the clothing I need for free. I just don't understand how it can be so cold all the time."

MORRIGAN AENSLAND | DARKSTALKERS | OPTION 5... or, rather, a variation of it

[It had taken ages of organizing and who knows how much practicing, but Morrigan had finally twisted enough armsmanaged to get something set up for the whole village to enjoy... Or, at the very least, for the adults to enjoy, seeing as most of the kids should beare asleep by now.]

[So, on a lazy Saturday night, people that are coming into Cloud Nine may notice that there's a large stage set-up along one of the walls (thanks to hundreds of missions), complete with lights and... what look like instrument-holding droids.]

[The soft notes of a piano start up, and Morrigan's voice starts singing.]

Fly me to the moon, and let me play among the stars...

[Then the lights kick on, and Morrigan poses pretty in some sleek looking clothes, and --]

[Well, this isn't quite the version of the song people may have been expecting.]

[So feel free to enjoy her impromptu performance, Luceti -- maybe catch her after the show, if you'd like. She'll be sticking around for a while.]

[That, Eiko, was that thrown basket hitting Morrigan square in the face -- followed by a pained sound as Morrigan clutches her nose.]

Ow!! I take two steps, and get a basket launched at me? Who did I manage to upset now?

[BECAUSE SERIOUSLY, IF CHUN-LI CAME BACK AT THE SAME TIME AS HER...]

[He still can't just abandon this bit, though. The extra fashion Genies disappear, but they leave behind a pile of long-sleeved flannel shirts and matching scarves. Asfor the remaining Genie, he looks exceptionally distraught.]

Oh. You want to know... about cold.

[He shifts to resemble a generic sitcom father, with a pipe in his mouth. And next to him is now a Genie made up to be his wife. He turns to face her in concern.]

What do you say, Martha. He's grown up so fast... Do you think he's old enough? [The wife-Genie nods. And then they both poof over behind Aladdin.]

Well, son, where do I start? When a sun and a planet love each other very much... that planet decides to spend its years revolving around the sun! But only half of that planet can get that sunny loving at a time. The other half? It gets the cold shoulder. An arctic one, even! Until it gets it's time in the sun. It's a very romantic cycle...

Unless of course, you live in a desert. Then, all of that is irrelevant and instead everything is [He trots around as if walking on coals.] HOT HOT OH IT BURNS!

[And then back to normal.]

But the deserts and here... [He pokes his pointer fingers together.] just not the same thing! So now, we're stuck with the cold. And that, buddy, is the story of winter!

"I know that, but I didn't realize it would be this-"

"... Half the year? You mean it's gonna be colder in two months?"

[... He was going to die.]

[Early this morning there is a very bummed rikku sitting right outside the doorway of the item shop, head in hands, looking like she just lost a puppy.

Later in the day, guess who found out the animals can talk? She's gathered up quite a bunch of small animals, and is having the best time listening to the conversations.

Now that brings it up to a bit later after she got cut out of the conversation, but she found another animal. One that she's making a big scene running away from, and yelling 'SNAAAAAAAAAKE' It's probably gone, but this girl isn't staying near it without her weapons.]

[Billy spends a fair bit of time training in the dome (though probably not as much as he should, but hey, it's a quiet place), so he stumbles upon Cassie's frustrations at some point. He'd be a lousy friend and teammate if he left it at that, so he'll just sidle on over to check on her.]

[Far from Albel's unfortunate luck, Fayt had been having a good day. He had found a few new earth texts in the library, albeit decently old ones, and had been taking a roundabout walk through the village on his way back to the apartment, enjoying the warm summer day.

But that good mood bottoms out when his eyes catch on the sight of Albel stumbling around just beyond the treeline, the unmistakable red stain of blood obvious even in the shade of the forest.]

Albel?

[He jogs over, before quickly picking up the pace as he gets closer, his expression grim as he takes in the damage. Fayt had been been lucky to keep his pair mostly safe so far, but he remembered the warnings they'd been given upon arrival and had kept them in mind.

Albel didn't have to worry about nagging at the clinic, because he was about to get some right now as Fayt closes in on him.]

[Through the video feed it's possible for Aladdin to see that Belle is also dressed up for the weather. Except her winter coat seems way less evasive and huge.]

That's what the weather is like here. It begins to get really cold around early or mid October and then the cold simply increases from there. There will be snow by December for sure. [It's all stated in a very matter of fact and simple way. As if she can't imagine the weather doing anything else but get so cold during the winter.]

[He hated the local clothes shops. They were pretty...mundane, to be honest. So, in the vein of Senpai's encouragement back home to sell his dolls at his family's shop, Kanji had decided to open his own shop and see where it went from there. Surely there had to be a way to make something to keep those...wings safe, right?

Sitting down on the floor of the abandoned shop he figured would be best for this, he pulled the journal out of his jacket, flipped it open and started up the video.]

So, uh, yeah...I got a question? Anyone here tried to make something to protect their wings? And I don't mean just hidin' 'em under their coats and shirts. I mean, like, something that would really keep 'em safe?

[He'd just wanted some stuff to bring back for Senpai to make for dinner, but that looked like it wasn't happening any time soon.

I'm not sure if anyone has, other than what you mentioned.

...though it might be cold later on. Maybe protection from that would be more feasible at the moment.

[He shrugs off the hood and glances around.]

"Agrabah- the place I come from- it's in the middle of a desert. It doesn't get cold, and it definitely doesn't have snow."

Technically, I don't think anybody would punish you for it. [He quirks a grin.] But it wouldn't help you get a program going, and it'd just fix itself in a day or so anyway. What're you trying to set up?

I wouldn't mind training, but... I was kinda hoping I'd just be better at this. [Her dad would be able to handle this, no problem.]

[No one could ever really account for the wings. Even Cliff, after spending eight months in the enclosure, had yet to find a way to truly compensate for the annoying and detrimental appendages. The best option he found so far was various methods of binding them down...but that restricted movement, and they still hurt like a bitch if you landed on them.

He needed to rework a few of his moves because of that, but the core was always recognizable for what it is. People rarely deviated too far from the norm-- it was why he narrowed his eyes attentively when he caught a glimpse of Albel at the forest's edge.

Although they weren't friends (and actually quite far from it), there were certain trials that forged a camaraderie between people regardless of their wishes. He and Albel had bloodied eachother up something horrible at least once. They had also fought a thousand year old dragon alongside eachother.

Albel had something far worse than anything the clinic would offer waiting for him in their apartment-- that was why Cliff approached.
