Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Albel had to fight against the urge to groan; no, no... why did he have to show up now? He forced himself to stand up right, leaning against a tree and trying to hide the injured wing behind him, for all the good it did him.]

[He fixed him with a bland look, as if nothing were wrong.]

Nothing much.

....Your wing is half torn off. [His tone is deadpan and his look meeting Albel's is equally as bland, if traced with concern. Yes, he saw.

At least Albel was still in shape enough to be stubborn, but if that got infected-]

You need to get that taken care of right away.

[Hadn't they told Albel....? He couldn't remember. Regardless he's walking over, determined to take a look and hopefully get him to a doctor.]

It is not half torn off, the annoying thing merely got clipped by something that will be a maggot nest by this time tomorrow.

[In ridiculous pain or not, he still had the energy to be his usual, smug self. He shot Fayt an irritated look as he approached, not in the mood to have a worrisome wife of a man fretting over him.]

I'm fine. I don't need your help, fool.

What did you fight, a bear? [His tone is unimpressed by Albel's smugness. Call him what you will, but at least he wasn't going to go out and get his wings wrecked picking fights with local wildlife. Concern for his friends was normal.]

Most of the animals around here aren't violent enough to attack people. [He's not backing off though, no way. Albel might not want his help, but Fayt had read enough to know he'd need some sort of help sooner rather than later.]

You know that I'm not going anywhere. [He could try symbology, but who knew if symbols could even do anything, for an injury like this?] And we need to get you to the clinic before that gets any worse.

[Albel resisted the urge to groan, rolling his eyes as he immediately tuned Fayt out. He shifted, attempting to shuffle off again as he ignored the other boy, like he was just an annoying fly buzzing around his head.]

[Too bad for Albel, but Fayt simply walks after him... and proceeds to block the man's path casually.

And any trees to grab onto are a good ways past him on either side. Good luck with that.]

[Albel had to stumble to a stop because of Fayt jumping in front of him, to the point where he had to hide the fact he was a few seconds away from falling over by planting his hand against a tree. He narrowed his eyes, irritation obvious.]

Get out of my way, maggot.

You're falling over where you stand. [Blandly stated. Like hell he was going to walk away just because Albel said so.]

If you can walk out of here without leaning on a tree, I might be able to believe you.

[Only really, he wouldn't put it past Albel's stubbornness to try.]

If you hadn't cut me off, fool, I wouldn't have needed to grab anything.

[H-he can totally stand up straight! See! He's standing up, no tree required. So there.]

Now unless you want my hand around your neck, I suggest you stop getting in my way.

[standing but not walking. There was a very big, very importance difference between the two.] Not until you get that checked.

[Fayt. Really. Don't you know better than to test Albel's patience? He dragged his claw out of the tree.]

I said move!

[He lunged for him, claw first.]

[Fayt's almost disappointed as he sidesteps out of the way, both in Albel's stubborn lack of care and the sloppy attack. Albel wasn't exactly doing his best to not make himself obvious.]

[In a normal situation, Albel would have been able to turn around easily and surprise the little maggot. That's... not what happened. He made the attempt, certainly, but with his weakened state his equilibrium was shot, and he ended up falling, landing on his damaged wing.]

[Y-yeah... that hurt, if the scream of agony was any clue.]

[...That was worse that Fayt thought, and he winces as he kneels down next to Albel, reaching over in spite of earlier protests in an attempt to lift him off the damaged wing. He'd at least expected Albel to be able to catch himself on a tree, and now he feels a little guilty for not being quick enough to catch him.] Albel....?

[Albel let out an annoyed growl, half hanging from Fayt, leaning on him a little more than he cared to admit.]

I-I... hate you right now, maggot.

[etherealblast]

...Sorry. I should have just grabbed you instead of dodging. [His tone is sincere as he shifts a bit, still supporting Albel as he checks over the wing. Damn.... That looked bad.]

...Let me try to heal this a little. Or at least stop the bleeding.

[Albel let out an aggravated noise, vocalizing his displeasure at being forced into relying on someone else. Still, he couldn't do much, and he just leaned on Fayt and looked away, stubborn to the end.]

[Stubborn or not, it's cooperation that is sorely needed, and Fayt isn't going to complain. He goes about looking over the wing, before tracing a symbol in the air and invoking it. Symbological energy flows into the wings, coating them with energy to stimulate healing, but the most Fayt can really do is stop the bleeding. The wings didn't get better from outside influences so easily.

He frowns, once again regretting his frustrating inability to use support symbols well.]

....We need to get you to the clinic.

[Albel obviously did not like that option, judging from the look on his face. Still, at this point he knew there was no way he was going to be able to do much of anything, and relented. The stubborn expression never left his face, however.]

Try not to manhandle me this time, maggot.

[Albel could keep up the stubborn expression all he wanted, Fayt knew the score already. The mention of 'this time' isn't lost either, but Fayt just offers a shrug as he maneuvers Albel into a better position to hoist him up.] Don't know if you'd call it manhandling, but if I have to carry you, I will. Lucky you haven't passed out, huh?

Oh yes. How fortunate for me to be awake for my latest dose of humiliation.

How fortunate you're awake so I might not have to humiliate you further, you mean. [He'd be rolling his eyes if the injury was less serious.] Come on, it's not like I want to embarrass you, you know. This is a bad injury.

Can you stand if I support you?

[His voice was strained, trying not to be extra snippy at him.]

[Fayt nods, pulling Albel's arm over his shoulder before slowly getting to his feet, watching Albel carefully for any signs of unsteadiness as he helps lift him up.]
