Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

I. What do you mean there is no food? What do you mean? For any of the inhabitants of Luceti, you may not be so surprised to see people looking pathetically lost a week or so into their arrival.

...What you may not be used to is a certain son of Poseidon looking like a pathetic baby seal staring up at the sign.

IV So, parties weren't actually things Percy was used to. Sure, he'd been to a few of the Olympians and they definitely knew how to party-- but there was a difference between normally twenty foot gods and mostly teenagers.

Especially when there's a beach involved.

It's too bad that a certain son of Hades wasn't around because he's most definitely trying his hand at surfing and it look like he's having a blast-- hey, it's skateboarding but in the water, what did you expect from him? He seems right at home until a wave knocks him off the board.

A few minutes later he can be seen laughing his way onto shore. No harm done.]

[VIDEO JOURNAL ENTRY Being a few days that Percy's arrived on Luceti, he has a very important question to ask when his face appears on the video.]

So, uh, I have the guide-- but why wings? Especially wings that don't make a fashion statement. Shouldn't they be like blue or black to go with anything? Or is white out of season? [A beat.] And what's the point if they can't fly? That's kind of lame.

--Huh. I wonder if I'd get blasted out of the sky here if they did work. But they don't and that's dumb--- but I mean, really.

Wings? Couldn't we have like fins or something?

[ Annabeth twitches her own gold-trimmed wings, letting out a laugh. ]

Since when did you care about fashion?

[ Privately she agrees with him - sure, these things were pretty, but they were heavy and they just hung there. What was the point? ]

[Don't laugh at him!!! It's rude.]

Since I had a fashion statement permanently stapled to my back? If we can't use them then that's the only other thing I can think of.

[They were weird. And itched. And hurt. Also why were his multi-colored? Could angel wings be multi-colored?

[Aang's just arrived at the beach when he sees Percy's spill. He's wearing his own swimming trunks, which reveals how much his arrow tattoos run down his body - along with the scar on his back. Regardless of that, he stands there and gives a friendly laugh as Percy comes back to shore.]

That was a nice try!

[Percy, on the other hand, as he makes it to land looks pretty normal-- save for the fact he's dryish. He's still grinning wildly as he raises a hand.]

Hey, dude, I'd like to see you do it your first try.

I'll be glad to show you! Except, it's not really my first try... [He gives a grin - it's one of those times he feels like horribly showing off. He jumps straight into the water and quickly puts some waterbending to work. He freezes part of the water into the shape of a board and hops onto it, then manipulates the water around him, making a wave he rides. At one point he struggles with his balance, but he keeps ahold and spreads his arms out with a cheer as he rides the wave.]

[Aang doesn't even give Percy a chance to respond before he's off, which is just all right with him. Since you know, cool water stunts he's never even tried before (but to be fair he wasn't actually often near the ocean). He was easily torn between cool and wow I suck. So when Aang started cheering Percy shook his head and grin.]

So cheating! [But you know what let's make this a little harder, okay. This would be Percy, stepping into the water and finding the current and willing the ocean to do what he wants-- that might be the wave starting to tunnel in on you after a few long moments...]

[At first, Aang is giving a cheeky grin at the accusation.]

Uh-uh! I'm just using my natural talents!

[And then Percy's trick kicks in. Aang didn't even see it coming - so he winds up taking a spill, calling out as he falls. He's a good sport about it, himself. He just groans at the water while he resigns himself to just float in it.]

Why, water? Why?

[Percy was already grinning his troublemaking grin at that, Aang. So when he goes out to greet him in the water it's not quite gone. But, hey, at least he was there to try and make sure Aang didn't drown if it came down to it.]

'Cause, good sir, those are my natural talents. [A smirk as he offers a hand to get on the surfboard.] And you so cheated around the wrong son of Poseidon. Half the fun's doing it on your own.

[That's very kind of him. But of course Aang can swim. He takes the hand, but with a look of disbelief.]

I- I guess so. [It's just easy for him to just think of bending as an extension of his body - so sometimes he can't really notice when it's an unfair advantage.] Wait, isn't Poseidon the name of a god? [He may not have that kind of god where he's from, but he's been checking out a lot of the local Luceti library, including some Greek myths.]

[Things Percy is sure of, but he's not intentionally trying to drown the kid! Just back up.]

You should try skateboarding. Without all the fancy tricks. [Because you know he's obviously got water power but maybe he doesn't have wind? ~~Oh Percy.~~ Percy just likes to do dangerous things and relying on the water takes out the dangerous aspect of surfing.] Yeah, Greek God. Lord of the sea, Earthshaker, Stormbring, Father of horses. And that last one gets really weird at a Macy's Day parade.

I think I've heard of skateboarding before! Maybe I'll look into it...

[But he's kind of flabbergasted by that.] Wow! That's great! I don't know what a Macy's Day is, but he must be a really neat dad! Does that mean that you've got horses for siblings?
