Test Flight!
Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Saber is a surprise. Not entirely unwelcome. He still did not respect her as a king, but she was by far a splendid knight as he had ever seen. No one less could have destroyed his chariot otherwise. And thus as he sees her, he raises a goblet in her direction and wears a wide grin.]
From our generous jailers, who else? Truly in all the lands I have traveled, never have I encountered any who would spare their finest food and drink for those they kept locked away.

[...In retrospect, her words are pretty silly now. Of course he would take whatever he wanted for himself, he's Iskander. He's always been like this, from what she's saw of him in the war.]

But when she at last addresses the drink, he chuckles.]
That is where you are mistaken, Saber. Though I would certainly enjoy taking my fill of this cask for myself, I have brought it here so that it can be shared under the shining sun and around the people of this village. All are welcome to share it with me.
[He fetches an empty goblet sitting on the fountain beside him and offers it out for her to take.]

She hesitates for a moment, but then walks up and takes the goblet, holding it out so he can pour her drink. They are no longer enemies in her opinion and she doubts he would attack her without making any intention to do so clear. But she still isn't sure how to feel about him. And she never did find out what happened to him after she destroyed his chariot.]
I know you have good tastes in your drink, so I will indulge your whims.

[The change in dialogue is a bit obvious here. A king. Just him. He may hold no grudge against her and he does not dislike her, but he will not confer to her the respect of such a position. Not until, in his eyes, she has earned it.
He fills the goblet with a ladle and then holds up his own to drink.]
To this new world, whatever it may be called.

She raises her drink to his and takes a small sip, enjoying the taste regardless of how fine it is. These days she doesn't indulge in alcohol as much, but it's fine for this one time.]
I take it you have only arrived now, Rider? How curious that we be pulled in at the same time. But I have not seen sight of any other heroic spirits thus far. [At least none she would recognize, both from the fourth and fifth wars.] What do you make of it?
no subject
Hm. We are in a new war. One with higher stakes than any we have fought before. One that makes the Grail War small in comparison. If we are here, it is because we are the greatest of champions to be called, alongside our fellow heroes who have not yet tasted the sting of death. And when we have won this world, it will be for us to decide what to do with it.

[One forced on them by the people keeping them captive and only fought for the sake of safety in this place. It was despicable to her.]
But, this world is not this small village. It may be greater than we can even comprehend. I doubt that we can 'win' this world in the war we have been drafted into, though I am sure you detest to hear that.

[He senses that she knows more of the situation than he does. Woefully he's only had the writing and words of others to go on. He had to wait to gain new experiences and even his own patience would eventually wear thing.
He fills his goblet again.]
But I am Iskander, King of Conquerors. To admit that any war cannot be won is to deny everything that I am.
