Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?

o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[WOW HE IS THE HEIGHT OF FASHION!!!

But not really. Souji looks over at the stranger and tilts his head. He'd just been looking at the Western clothes called t-shirts. This one was pink with some sort of animal on it, and it sparkled. How could he not be drawn to it?]

Excuse me?

[Excuse Hikaru. He will just... snatch that and fling it away. Ew, ew, ew, ew. There are sparkles on his hand. KAORU, HELP GET IT OFF.

Oh. Right. No Kaoru. So, he'll just try and wipe his hand off on one of the other totally disposable shirts of absolutely horrible quality. There, nothing of value lost.]

No glitter. Glitter? Bad. Bad glitter. Got it? Glitter is bad.

[Wat. He was looking at that t-shirt, Mr. Rude Person.

Although he does find the little glitter trail it leaves as it flies through the air amusing. He'll have to hide the shirt in Cliff's room later.

After watching it fly away, he looks at the stranger again.]

Do you always steal people's toys like that?

[Hikaru heaves an overdramatic sigh.]

I do when it's for someone's own good.

Now. Remember: glitter is bad. Very bad.

If you like pink? Totally work with that.

But no glitter.

[He laughs and shows his white kimono with blue obi that he's wearing.]

It isn't for me. I just find it fun to use when playing with a friend of mine.

Did someone put glitter on you when you were younger? Is that why it's so bad?

...Oh, you don't even want to know about what we were subjected to as children. It is a sad, sad story. But! I did learn one thing--

[Nice pink shirt, cute little bird on the front. Touch, touch, touch.

Good quality, great stitching, perfect tones for mixing and matching. Cute and versatile.]

[He takes it from the boy and looks it over. This one is nicer. Maybe he'd even wear it, if he decided to wear Western clothes one day.]

Mm~ This is much cuter.

[Although what he said about childhood concerns him. As he looks over the t-shirt, he runs his fingers over the bird.]

Were you caged up? Like this bird might have been?

Our mom's in fashion, so we were the little dolls.

[Some of his family will never let him and Kaoru live down the times their mother dressed them as little girls.]

But Mom had the golden rule: no glitter.

Gets everywhere and never comes out.

So, trust me. Glitter? Bad. [He nods to the t-shirt.] This is much better.

[We. Him and a sister? Brother? It had to be a sibling at any rate.]

That's the fun of it though.

[He laughs to himself and holds the t-shirt up in the air, studying it.]

I'm not sure if it will fit him, but if not, I think I might keep it, if I ever decide to wear Western style.

[He folds it over his arm and smiles at the boy, bowing his head.]

Thank you for your help. Might I ask your name?

[He's too used to being part of a matched set. "We" is just what he uses.

But the question of his name makes him grin. Right now? He's in the mood to play nice.]

Kaoru Hitachiin.

[...Mostly.]

[Not a name he recognizes and obviously someone from the future. Souji bows again.]

It is an honour, Kaoru-kun. My name is Okita Souji.

[Okay, so not just formal dressing, but formal bowing too.

Fine, fine. This is the problem with sometimes pretending to be Kaoru. Or deciding at the last minute to. Kaoru alone would, so--

Hikaru straightens a little, puts his hands together in front of him, and makes a proper, though slight, bow.]

Good to meet you.

[Usually he gets more of a reaction from people, but that's alright. Perhaps this boy isn't from his future then. That just makes it easier. Souji straightens and smiles wide.]

Perhaps you can help me again, when it comes to clothes? I don't change much, but I know that many people here do. They could certainly use your advice.

[Hikaru actually looks... surprised. Really surprised. Before he takes a moment to think about it, straightening up.

He has seen a few disasters around. And he doesn't have the host club. Or anybody here...]

Yeah. [He doesn't sound totally sold in, though.] Yeah, I guess I could do that, huh?

[It might be interesting for a bit, at least.]

There's a clothing store here, not this one, called All Passions. They're always looking for more people to help out there.

And some people here are far too drab. They all wear black! It's like a funeral.

Black is good. Classic, never goes out of style. But you have to have variety.

[It's more muttered while he thinks about it.

Real work... that he won't get paid for. But it'd be a good use of at least some of his skills. And it might really be fun once Kaoru gets here.]

All Passions, huh?

I told Hajime-san that, but he refuses to even add a little red to his clothes.

[Souji sighed and shook his head at the memory. His smile returned a moment later.]

Yes, it's All Passions. Just up the road that way. I think you'd do wonderful there.

[Hikaru frowns slightly, just thinking about it.]

Huh. I... might check that out.

It could be fun, right?

It could be.

[Souji leans forward, peering into his face.]

So why do you frown?

It's just the sort of thing we should be doing. Not... just me.

[He's too used to Kaoru being with him that he just... automatically assumes everyone knows what he means when he says "we."

They're the Hitachiin twins, after all. Inseparable.

So... how did they get separated?]

[Again with the we - definitely a sibling and someone Kaoru has never been without.]

It's understandable to be homesick here - especially for the people most important to us.

But won't you want to show them all the new and interesting things here, when they arrive?

...It's still something we should be seeing together.

[It felt weird -- wrong, even -- to be doing almost anything without Kaoru.

But it's not something he wants to talk about with a stranger. So, back to the clothes.]

So. Who're you even getting this stuff for, anyway?
