Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for playing music? Try Cloud Nine's open mic night!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[A familiar voice calls out from behind her, sounding as vaguely sarcastic as usual.]

I'm afraid that I have no idea what you're referring to. I can only hope that your dear friend has not met an unfortunate end.

[Tokunaga might be secured under one of Jade's arms as he speaks.]

[It definitely wasn't a voice she was expecting after waking up in this weird village, but it was one that she was glad to hear.]

Colonel!

[And, true to form, the Colonel continued to know enough to find Tokunaga before she even realized he was missing.]

You found him!

[She runs over excitedly, stopping once she gets a closer look. He had wings. She hadn't noticed before since she was so occupied with finding Tokunaga, but everyone else in the city had wings, too.]

What's are those things on your back!?

[Seeing her in person confirms it. He must have missed her. It's an unusual feeling, but not unprecedented.

He gives a soft chuckle as he prepares to hand over Tokunaga, and he listens to the question he predicted she would ask.]

Those would be my wings, Anise. It's what we spirits receive after a lifetime of good deeds, after all.

[He idly wonders if it was moreso the trolling aspect that he missed.]

[What? There was no way they could both be spirits! She hadn't heard anything about the Colonel dying (and it looked like he'd been here longer), and she didn't remember dying. But if it really was this case this was bad, this was really bad...]

[Wait, good deeds? Oh, there was no way.]

Boooooo, lying like that was mean.

My, my. Anise, don't you know that you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead? [He tuts, but his smirk may be enough of a tell that he's still joking.]

After all, what sort of alternate explanation could there be?

[She's seen that smirk waaaaaaay too many times to believe you're being serious, Colonel. But, that did bring up a good point.]

Hey, now that you mention it, where are we, anyway?

[Sigh. Where's Guy when things need explaining? He gives a shrug.]

Oh, it's nowhere out of the ordinary. Just an enclosure named Luceti located in an entirely foreign world that does not seem to have its own Planet Storm.

Huh?

[That explanation didn't make any sense. It almost seemed like another one of the Colonel's tricks, except he looked way too serious to be kidding.]

How can there not be a planet storm?

That's a remarkably good question. Of course, any theories I currently have may prove to be too difficult to understand. But let it suffice to say that the Planet Storm is truly not necessary for a planet to be inhabitable. And thus, here we are.

You'll find that your wings are keeping you alive instead.

[Whoa! Those were definitely new. She's looking more than a little startled, trying to figure out what these pink things on her back are.]

Yes, the wings. Aren't they pleasant? [He says flippantly.] As entertaining as the results may be, I should warn you that trying to fly with those won't go so well.
