Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

[Sorry Jack, you're about to be ignored for a moment here, because Anna's merchant senses are tingling and she spots... A THEIF!!

Jumping over her stall, and pulling out a sword from hidden beneath her cloak, Anna works her arm around the boy who was about to flee so that the sword would be pressed up against his throat, not quite touching since she doesn't want to hurt him if she doesn't have to.]

And where do you think you're going valued customer? We haven't discussed the matter of payment yet. These berries didn't grow in the wild you know.

[Because saying they didn't grow on trees is just silly.]

And to answer your question blondie, the kind of help I need, might just include you now. I prefer not getting violent if I don't have to, so perhaps you could be so kind as to help guard my goods for the day.

[Seeing a blade flashing towards Rudy, Jack can't help but draw his own sword out of instinct. He's not pointing it at the boy though but rather seems to be keeping his eyes trained on Anna as he directs his attention to the both of them. She might not like violence but Jack doesn't trust her not to change her mind. Still, he doesn't make a move. With her sword that close to Rudy's throat, one slip and...]

The name's Jack. And if you want me to be your security, you might want to let go of my friend.

... What? He's your friend? You're not just saying that, right?

[Anna seems to look a little pale at the thought that she might have been this close to hurting a friend of one of her customers, and sheepishly withdraws her sword, sheathing it back without any fuss, and patting Rudy on the back reassuringly.]

Hehe... sorry about that Jack. In my line of work, you just... can't be too careful.

[Whoa there, this certainly escalated quick. Rudy immediately freezes, his posture stiffening at the, well, very sharp blade currently pointed at his throat.]

Ah, I-- um, payment, you said?

[Wait, we have to pay? He'll continue to stay frozen in place until Anna withdraws her blade. Then his posture relaxens, breathing a silent sigh of relief.]

Y-Yeah, we're friends. I'm Rudy. [There's a smile, albeit a rather nervous one as he holds out the various cartons of berries towards her. Peace offering? Peace offering. Please no violence, miss.] And, um, sorry... I-- well, I didn't know these were yours.

[Well now, since the sudden tension in the air seems to have cleared for the time being, Jack sheathes his own sword, glad nobody came to any harm. He glances to Rudy as he gives his offering before turning his attention back to Anna.]

Rudy's a good kid. If you won't believe me then at least believe him.

[As for her apology, what was it she said? Her line of work?]

It's not exactly safe in our world either, though we tend to save the swords for monsters rather than thieves. [Or demons, but that was another subject entirely.] Anyway, Rudy still has his head. I guess I can stick around for a while longer.

Oh no, it's not too much trouble. Just as long as you don't run off with my produce there without paying.

[Anna offers Rudy a friendly smile and her hand to shake, holding and balancing the berries dexterously in one hand.]

I'm Anna, pleasure to meet you, even under these rough circumstances. As your friend mentioned, I take my job very seriously, and my job is that of a merchant~!

S'nice to meet you, Anna. [With some brief hesitation on his part for a moment, he'll soon accept her hand, shaking it. Despite that incident, she does seem nice enough.]

Anyway, what's exactly going on? I was at the store earlier and everything was cleared out. [He lifts a hand to scratch the back of his head as he looks up at his friend.] And what's this talk about security, Jack?

Apparently all the food at the store went missing and our quick-thinking merchant here decided to set up shop and sell the stuff she'd already been hoarding. 'Sell' meaning to trade in this case, either with goods or labour.

[He hadn't quite expected Rudy to turn up while they were discussing things though, nor did he imagine things would escalate so quickly. Still, at least he knew how this Anna dealt with thieves now.]

Since she didn't seem to be letting up on the idea I thought I'd stay a while longer and give her a hand. We need food after all.

I'm terribly sorry boys, but I'm a true blooded merchant, always have been, and always will be. You both seem like decent enough sorts though, so I promise you'll not starve as long as you're working for me.

[Anna hands Rudy a hammer, some nails, and some plywood.]

Since your friend Jack seems to have security settled, would you be a dear and start putting these together here, here, aaaand here? I'd like to get my official store set up soon, and if I don't have my own building, these poor people might think my shop is just as free as every other store in this bizarre place.
