Test Flight Meme
Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub!
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

But Silver keeps it cool- which is fine, because Weavile can have a little awestruck sparkle in his eye and think Lance is super cool for the both of them. Can he get a cape too? He wants a cape- a bright pink one to match his feathers. Then he'll be the coolest Weavile in Luceti.
...Well, and the only Weavile in Luceti, but. Details.]
I've got Feraligatr and Gyarados with me too. [Lance has three of his Dragonair, huh? It's gonna be strange to see him without his Dragonite... Not that there's ever been any rhyme or reason to which Pokémon show up to begin with.]
no subject
bop, goes the third dragonair onto the naysayer. pink is a perfectly fine color. she wishes she was pink. was it lonely, being the only weavile? they're obviously not the only one of their kind here right now so.]
And what have you learned? [about anything here. give him the deets, silver. especially about your training too. is it nicer just to be able to focus on three pokémon rather than all six, or do you miss the variety you had? how have you overcome that?]
no subject
A lot. Where do you want me to start? [Should he talk about Luceti? The people in it? The world beyond the enclosure?
The throbbing in his leg reminds him to bring up the war. The enemies faced there. The exhausting, tireless fights that they have no choice but to adapt and prepare for.]
no subject
where to begin.]
What you think is most important, then just go on from there. It'll be easier to think of specific questions.

...If you want to understand the situation here, you gotta understand the nature of the world.
The world itself is powerful and unpredictable. It pulls in people from different worlds and points in time. The worlds are wildly varied. Many people here have never seen a wild Pokémon. Many people here are stronger than a well trained Pokémon.
[That's a good start.]

[the dragonair - all three of them - fly upwards when lance is done taking in silver's words, latching onto each other's tails in a big perfect circle as they revolve in the air.
cool, right? their trainer is mildly amused, they've been working on this trick for weeks, just because they have nothing better to do, and the fourth would fly through the center. usually the weather controlling one to create different atmospheres, but oh well.]
At least culturally. Continue.

But there are more important things to talk about. Weavile claps at the Dragonairs' ring eagerly, and Silver waits until he's done to continue.]
Everyone that was brought here has smaller wings, just like us. But some people have bigger ones. Ones they can actually fly with.
The Third Party's made of them. They;re crazy cult guys that want anyone who was drawn to the world to be sacrificed to it and permanently killed. They're ruthless and keep fighting until they're incapable of moving or dead. [Fun stuff. Silver manages to keep a straight face.]
no subject
fun stuff. he nods - they sound like true soldiers at least. not the kind of person you'd take home to your mom though. anything else?]
no subject
They keep us safe in here and try to run experiments to get us home. Occasionally they'll send us out on drafts to fight against the Third Party. If we want, we can head out more often by volunteering for missions.
[And that's the basics of their situation. Sketchy organization that is all things considered somewhat good to us, sketchy cultists that definitely want us dead, lots of very different people thrown into one mixing pool.]
There's a building here called the Battle Dome which can simulate almost any environment and enemy. It's perfect for training. [Three guesses where he spends way too much of his time, and the first two don't count.]
no subject
[the dragonair agree. they sound like nasty fellows. lance finally turns to silver, patting his head and then weavile's. good job, student. rising to the bar he's always set for you.]
You've given me a good insight, as usual. I'd like to see the kinds of enemies you fight in the Battle Dome. Including the one that caused you to limp.
no subject
He looks embarrassed for a moment, but quickly shakes it off in favor of business. Show him the enemies they fight in the dome. Got it. Right away, sir.]
I'll get right to it. [He heads to the dome right away, in fact!
...
...
At a snail's pace. He might deserve a few points for persistence, but he really shouldn't be up on his feet...]
