Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

[Well kriff, it was like a whole Skywalker Family Reunion here this month, Mara noted when she felt Leia's presence enter the village. Heading over wasn't particularly out of her way, so...into the library comes one redheaded scoundrel of another sort. With a lopsided grin she plopped down across from Leia and put her feet up, studying the woman, looking for signs of recognition.

Of course, it wouldn't be Mara without at least a little sarcasm.]

Fancy seeing you here, your Eminence.

How many times do I-

[Leia had spoken before she'd realized who it was but the second her deep brown eyes landed on the redheaded woman she stopped talking.]

Mara Jade. To what do I owe the...pleasure?

It is a pleasure, good to see you Leia.

[Mara's smile is actually quite genuine. She respects her...fiance's...sister and has long held admiration for her diplomatic skills. Also, it doesn't hurt that Leia had extended her trust to Mara more than once.]

As for the why, well...you're here. I'm here. Thought I'd drop by and say hello.

Yes, you look well.

[Now over her shock, Leia marked her place in the book and put it in her lap so that she could converse with the other woman. Despite the differences they'd had, Mara was intelligent and witty, friendly and devious. She had skills that Leia didn't but that she could admire in someone who used them well.

Besides, she'd learned that they'd be sisters eventually.]

Did you get tired of Han and Luke as well?

[Mara smirks, knowing Leia knew the answer.]

I seriously just felt you show up, figured I'd come check on you. Seems like you've got it all well in hand though. Been here before I take it?

[She couldn't help but laugh, knowing full well how much enjoyment Mara took in teasing her twin brother.]

Ah, yes, but Han is here now. The two of them together can be...a bit much sometimes.

[The space between her wings itched and she shrugged as she tried to dispel it.]

Yes, it was for a short while, but I learned how to make my way around here fairly well at the time.

Fair enough. And how long have you been gone, your time?

[She's checking for timeline sync-up now, of course. Ever practical.]

[Leia took a moment to think that over before answering.]

I'm not really sure. I was here for a few months, but it didn't seem like a second had passed back home. However, it's been a year. Time between the two doesn't seem to pass the same way.

[The brunette shook her head, her heavy hair making the motion a little slower than on another woman.]

And that isn't accounting for the fact that both Han and Luke are much older than myself.

[Or that Ben Kenobi was there, alive and young. And Anakin Skywalker, but the less said on that subject, the better.]

Heh, and Skywalker's ten years younger than me. And I dunno how you sync up with the rest of us, but there's someone else here too. Have you trained your senses enough to feel other Force Sensitives?

[She is of course speaking of Leia's nephew.]

[Nephew. The thought of her brother with children was just as strange to her as herself being the mother of three. And of course with a year and a half of on-again-off-again training with Luke to remove what he called a block, she'd at least learned to notice others.

Once she'd recognized that they were there in the first place.]

It's a slow process made even more difficult by the fact that neither of us has the time to sit down for years to train me properly. I still need time around someone to recognize their signatures before I can pick them out.
