Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Arrival!

( The salty smell of the sea is the first thing Misty registers; even before she bothers to blink open her eyes, she draws a deep breath, the ocean air filling her lungs. When had they taken a detour? Could a detour have even put them so close to the large body of water?

Tokepi's excited trill causes her to drag the back of her wrist against her eyes before she sits up to carrel the baby Pokemon, opening her eyes -- ) Hey, Togepi, why don't ......

( -- but none of this is familiar. Brock and Ash are nowhere to be found and this is not a beach she has ever seen before. Scrambling, Misty counts her pokeballs, her stomach falling when she realizes there are those that are missing. She sweeps the baby pokemon into one arm even as she finds unsteady footing, using the other to pat her back pocket in attempt to recover one of her lost Pokemon.

At which pocket Misty freezes, her wrist brushing something soft, feathery.

The culmination of discoveries leave her baffled and wondering whether she is more horrified to discover a pair of small, downy white wings or that she is clad in a white cotton sundress. )

Bakery!

( What better way to spend late afternoon than at the bakery? The redhead sits at one of the outside tables, shaded by the large umbrella that stretches overhead. Clad in her jean shorts, red suspenders, and yellow tank top, she breaks off small pieces of her cookie for the elated Togepi that sits upon the table before her as she watches the residents of Luceti stroll by.

Be forewarned: this may be her ~~second~~ third cookie, but she is hardly inclined to share. )

[This teenage monk has currently been running the bakery. But he leaves it open whenever he's out, so likely Misty was able to get her cookies without interacting with anyone. He's just now returning from a shift at the Welcome Center, and he's riding an air scooter - basically, a ball of air. He comes to a stop several feet from the unfamiliar girl and her all-to-adorable companion, and he shines a smile their way.]

Looks like you found the cookies alright!

( Wings she has slowly become accustomed to, the bar-code that has been marked upon the back everyone's necks is something that the redhead tries not to think about anymore, but the air scooter causes her to choke briefly on her cookie. Her cerulean eyes are wide as she manages to mostly compose herself, sitting up straighter in the chair. )

You made them? They're amazing.

( Misty tries not to stare at the ball of air ~~but fails utterly~~ as Togepi trills happily at the teenage monk, arms outstretched. The pokemon teeters one step closer, and then another. )

Yep! [He's a little bashful from the praise.] I'm really glad you like them! I've been learning a lot about baking. [Back at home, his people mostly knew how to make fruit pies; here in Luceti, he's been widening his abilities for over a year now, ever since Rapunzel took him under her wing.

And Aang winds up giggling at the Togepi's reaction.]

Who's your little friend?

I know a little about baking treats for Pokemon, but I never learned to bake much myself. ( After all, caring for Pokemon was always more interesting than cooking. Resting her elbow against the table, she leans her cheek into her palm and chuckles at Togepi, who proceeds to tauter back over to claim another small piece of cookie. ) This is Togepi. He seems to like you.

( Oh, whoops, manners. Standing and flashing Aang a smile, she extends a hand. ) And I'm Misty. Nice to meet you.

[He lets the ball of air dissipate and settles his feet on the ground as he reaches over jovially to shake her hand.]

Nice to meet you too, Misty! And Togepi! I'm Aang. So does that mean Togepi's a Pokemon? [He has some knowledge of Pokemon, particularly since his granddaughter wound up training one before she went back home.]

[ Ash and Pikachu were out on a walk on the beach. After all, it was a nice day today so why shouldn't they be outside?

It was Pikachu to first notice the similar figure, perking up his ears and looking straight ahead. Ash notices and looks at the electric mouse. ]

Hm? What is it Pikachu?

[ That was when Pikachu jumps from Ash's shoulder and starts running over to Misty. With a small 'hey Pikachu!' Ash follows, not yet noticing or recognizing the figure that Pikachu was heading towards. But soon after Pikachu calls out Misty's name in his language Ash got close enough to realize who it was himself. ]

Misty?! Misty! Hey!

( The redhead is too busy trying to steal glimpses over her shoulder while she carefully cradles the baby Pokemon in her arms to notice the flash of yellow darting her direction, but when she sighs in frustration and tugs at the cotton sundress with her free hand -- this she is sure she didn't purchase, although it's growing on her, if only a little -- that she spots Ash's Pokemon, relief flooding her features and tone. ) Pikachu! ( She crouches in the sand, hand extended for when he draws near enough to rub the top of his head.

And then another familiar voice calls for her and her cerulean gaze sweeps up to find him.

His clothing isn't right, but neither is hers, so -- )

Ash! .. Did we get all the way to Cinnabar Island while I was sleeping?

[ It really was Misty! It's been so long that Ash saw her and he never expected her to come here to Luceti. Pikachu is way more than happy to see her too, happily squealing at the rub he's getting from her. ]

Eh? Oh, no we're not anywhere near Cinnabar Island. We're in some place called Luceti. It's kinda weird, but it's really good to see you, Misty! And... Togepi?

[ He definitely didn't expect to see the small egg Pokemon. Especially since it evolved into Togetic and Misty released it to stay in that one place. ]

( Togepi manages to squirm free from the water trainer's arms and teeters over to Ash, arms waving happily. He collides gently with the trainer's leg and tumbles to his bottom, but seems completely unfazed by this as Misty's gaze flickers from him to Ash. ) It's good to see you, too -- even if I just saw you an hour ago. ( Luceti. She has a thousand questions, but at least it explains the wings, and gives her an excuse to interrogate Ash later. )

How long have you in Luceti ( She pulls Pikachu into her arms, squeezing him gently and hooking her chin over the top of his head as she fixes Ash with a playful grin. ) And just because we're here, wherever here is, doesn't mean I'll forget that you owe me a new bike, Ash Ketchum.

[ Ash kneels down and picks Togepi up to set him upright and then pat the baby Pokemon and giving him a small hello before looking back up at Misty. ]

An hour ago? I haven't seen ya in a really long time! I've been in Luceti for a few months now. [ But even then he hasn't seen you since Hoenn? A really long time... Pikachu was more than happy when Misty picks him up, flicking his ears happily and giving another happy squeal. ] Eh? But I already got you a new bike!

( Misty's grin slips away as she shakes her head slowly in confusion, her fingers idly rubbing behind Pikachu's ears as Togepi trills happily at the dark eyed boy. )

You're wrong. ( Her frown and her huff are softened by an unsure state now as she watches the baby Pokemon pace a small circle around Ash. She is sure of this, but he seems so certain, too .. ) You just took the Pokemon League exam, remember?

And you definitely haven't got me a new bike!

[ Ash gives Misty a confused look from where he's kneeling ]

No 'm not! [ He then frowns a little. The Pokemon League Exam? That was... ] I took that exam a long time ago. And I'm sure I got ya a new bike!

[ It then starts to dawn on him on what all this might mean ]

I must be from your future too! So that explains why Togepi hasn't evolved yet...

Wh-What?

( Now she has a thousand questions for Ash, cerulean eyes wide as she catches herself gaping. ) Togepi evolves?

How long has it been since you took the exam? ( Misty gestures absently, not relinquishing her hold on Pikachu. ~~Now that she is here, she is claiming Pika-cuddling-time, Ash.~~ )

Yeah. Togepi 'ventually evolves into a Togetic.

[ Though he won't mention much more than that. ]

Ummm.... A really long time. [ What is time in their world, really. ] I gone t' other regions since then and met a lotta new Pokemon and friends. [ Pikachu is totally okay with this ~~just give him back Pikachu eventually Misty. ]~~

( Time is perplexing, to say the least. Her tone clearly teasing now, she lifts her brows at him, challenging him. ) What color is my new bike, Ash?

New regions? I bet you've sent Professor Oak more friends than he knows what to do with. ( And then, a little softer: ) Are Brock and I still with you? ( ~~Maybe. Eventually. But perhaps she will snag his hat in trade.~~ )

[ UHHH HOW DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO REMEMBER THAT ] .... the same color as your old bike?

[ He smiles at that ] Haha, yeah! I wish I could show you all of th' new friends I made, but I only have one y' haven't met. I have Charizard with me too! [ Though his smile softens when Misty asks that question. ] Not anymore. We've all gone our different ways now. [ ~~Wow no not the hat his mama made him this one 8(~~ ]

( WRONG ANSWER. BUSTER. ) Smooth, Ash. Technically, in my time, you still haven't replaced mine -- so I'm still holding you to it. ( Be prepared to be reminded of this for all of Luceti eternity.

Oh. Charizard. Misty looks a little apprehensive now, her brows lifting skeptically. ) Does he listen to you now? ( Because the Charizard she remembers is freshly evolved and is hardly one to do anything Ash asks him to do. His new Pokemon is another story. ) What kind are they? What kind of Pokemon do the new regions have?

( And then after a moment of hesitation, as if debating saying anything at all: ) If we've all gone our separate ways, you better at least be calling me now and then.

[ DARN IT. ] Aww, really Misty? Can't ya just take me word and not do that? [ It doesn't help that he got a burnt bike for Christmas and he doesn't know whose it is...

But he beams when Misty asks that question. ] Yeah, he does! Charizard and I are really close now and he become a lot stronger since then! So has Pikachu! [ Pikachu chirps an agreement to that from Misty's arms. ] Th' Pokemon I have with me is Snivy. She's a grass type Pokemon. They have all sorts of Pokemon in the new regions and I bet that there are still more that I haven't met yet!

[ He gives an awkward smile at that ] Well... I would but you never gave me a phone number or anything t' call you with. [ yeah that's totally why ]

[Someone's watching the two curiously outside and boy does that bakery ever smells so nice. There's a little Pichu with pink wings (Mew in Transformation of course) peeking from behind a flower pot at all the goodies the human and her Pokemon companion are having. The little Pichu taps it's watery lower lip. Ever since Mew had a taste of human food, it's quite addicting.]

( Misty breaks off another piece of cookie and holds it patiently out to Togepi as the baby Pokemon finishes its latest bite, but coordination is still something Togepi is working on, and the portion goes tumbling toward the ground. With an 'eep,' the redhead dives for it --

And misses. Utterly. In her defense, spotting the little Pichu with pink wings manages to baffle her, and she blinks in surprise. )

Hey there.

( Misty rises slowly, slowly to her feet to break off another small bite for Togepi before taking a small step toward the flower pot the rest of the cookie in hand and her curiosity captured. ) Want a bite? ( She crouches, extending it to Mew. After all, cute Pokemon are the exceptions to her no sharing rule. )

[Oh, this one remembers this human girl, back at the island and all, although she won't remember the confrontation with Mewtwo. Some things are better forgotten, like that silly fight.

Anyway, the Pi-Mew looks up curiously. Thank goodness cute wins. Okay, it can't deny the smell of something sweet and sugary. The two little paws reaches up with a smile letting out a 'pi-chu!'. Yes, please!]
