Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

E-Eh?

[ Ivan halts mid throw and spins around to address the voice. He suddenly feels rather conscious of himself. Oh, and he's... further away than he thought too. ]

U-Um, yes. That's what the middle of the target's called.

[ With his gaze still on Ivan, he gestures to the darts in the aforementioned bullseye. ]

And those are darts. Do you do this often?

It's a hobby I picked up at home. Um, something to pass the time.

[ He returns looking towards the dartboard. This isn't that big of deal. It's not like he's practicing his shuriken, and anyone can throw a dart. (Though years ago, Ivan couldn't hit a board with a shuriken no matter how many he threw, and his accuracy now is the result of a lot of practice and determination.) ]

[ Sailor angles his head in growing curiosity. Dart boards are indeed something with which to pass the time, but perhaps this boy knows more about them? ]

Oh, really? Can you tell me if the dart board has another function?

Not that I know of...

[ The only thing Ivan can think of that a dartboard might be used for is a way to take frustrations out on a photo. ]

Is this your first time seeing someone throw darts at a dartboard?

[ What a function.

Sailor nods, although the answer is rather circumstantial at best. ]

The first time for this level of precision! These are rare back home.

Do people not play darts a lot?

[ Ivan will forever belittle his own efforts. ]

[ Boy's too young for self-deprecation. ]

The ones who do play all the time. Most don't aim well with only their hand.

[ He's been doing so most of his life. ]

Do they use something else to aim with? Or... do they just miss?

Miss? Sometimes. Lately, using your stage art has been the rage.

Using your stage art? Do you mean throwing pieces that are on a stage or...?

[ Using them as the targets themselves? ]

[ "Throwing pieces that are on a stage"? What vivid imagination is that?

Let's see, what was that word again? ]

It's the "literal" use of natural power. We're attuned to the elements, you see.

[ It's entirely possible someone has the power to throw around things like a juggling act. He met a baby with telekinetic powers... ]

So, they shoot the dartboard with their powers instead? Like with a bolt of lightning?

We use our stage art to guide the dart. Should I show you?

Um, if you'd like to.

[ He steps out of the way and holds a dart out for the other to take and work his art with. Ivan's still fairly confused about what he's talking about. ]

[ Sailor takes the dart, nodding in thanks. No sooner than he'd done that does he toss the dart with a tender flick of his wrist.

He flicks his wrist again, this time outward. Small rocks from outside roll in and form a concentric circle, the inner ring of which catches the falling dart. The rocks speed across the floor before coming to a stop before the board, at which the inner ring pulls back to catapult the dart.

The dart lands on the second ring from the center. ]

Oh! I was close.

[ Ivan watches the "throw" in complete awe. That is one way of throwing a dart and much more impressive than what he does. He never through controlling rocks could make that happen. ]

... That was amazing.

[jellyblob]

[ The rocks crumble from their formation and wobble outside, returning whence they came.

Sailor blinks as he turns to face Ivan. ]

For me, what you do is more meritorious.

[ And the rocks even went back from where they came from. How considerate. The owner or someone else doesn't have to clean up after its use. ]

N-No... it's nothing. Really. The amount of concentration and focus and planning you must have had to do are much more than what I did.

[ A grin tugging at the corner of his lips, Sailor eyes Ivan. ]

Stage art is a natural extension of the practitioner. It requires little to no effort.
