The Final Test Flight Meme
Reserves are open and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!
▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test flight for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).
Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:
o1. The grocery store is out of food. What do you do?
o2. Wing injury! Call for help or stagger your way to one of our fine clinics.
o3. It's a busy evening at Good Spirits, one of Luceti's local bars. Do you dare try the drink specials?
o4. Have a talent for music? Try playing DJ at HQ, the new nightclub! Don't have one? Just dance your butt off.
o5. Beach party? Snow party? Leaf-raking party? Gardening party? YOU DECIDE.
Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.
Above all? HAVE FUN. Oh. And don't forget to RESERVE your characters.

Puddings of sausage and blood
Feathers and fluff aren't never enough
Compared to a savory sausage-y flood."
Poetry slams at Good Spirits: never a good idea after the weekly rum shipment arrives.

He sighs and drinks instead. Rum is actually a very good substitute for food, sleep, sex....okay, for food. Most of the time.

Usagi Tsukino
So proud that she has managed some self restraint and not tried any of them yet, because she wants to give them away to people, which is why she has a plate of them outside the Tsukino Shrine. Which is unfortunate because, not for the first or last time, unfortunately... she mixed up the sugar and the salt.
These cookies are nigh-inedible.
But are you going to tell the cheerful 14-year-old with the hopeful smile that?
1/2 - sorry about this kid :(
"Cookies!" She doesn't give any other warning - in the next second, she's glitched herself across the street and over to Usagi's plate of free cookies. (Well, she assumes they're free, anyway.)
"I'll take one, thank you!" With that, she swipes a bunny-shaped one without asking, and immediately chomps its ear off.

NEVER apologize for Vanellope, she's too darn cute!!

"Doesn't this place have more than enough sugar already?" Sure, it's no Sugar Rush, but he feels like he sees enough sweets as it is. That, and he may or may not be complaining just for the sake of complaining.

Ivan Karelin | Tiger & Bunny
[ Ivan's crouched on the ground holding a hand to his left shoulder. His left wing bends at an awkward angle from a practice gone wrong. He lets out a wince as he tries to move. How can it hurt so much? They really weren't kidding. Given time, he'll try to hobble up to his feet in search of a clinic, but it hurts to move right now. ]
Option 2: Bullseye!
[ Ivan is visiting Good Spirits but not for the drinks. There's a dart board hanging on the wall, and as other patrons are enjoying their alcohol, Ivan tosses dart after dart. He has very good aim, hitting the bullseye each time but not thinking much of it. He takes a few steps further back from where he once stood after he retrieves the three darts from the board. Soon, he's over halfway across the bar and still managing to hit his mark.
And so focused on throwing the darts, Ivan may not realize he as company. ]
2
Such an accomplishment deserves praise, doesn't it? Abandoning his seat at the counter, Sailor approaches Ivan from the side as another dart is thrown. ]
Oh! Amazing! That's what we call "hitting the bullseye," yes?

Hinata Hyuuga
As she works behind the counter, she hums a light tune softly under her breath. She stops when the chime above the front door sounds and steps out to help the new customer.
"Hello, how may I help you?"
After months of working here, she's gotten so much more assertive.

...I will renew my paid at some point. That point is not right this minute.
Karla
[She's lived long enough. She's ready to die.]
[However, as she walks, she eventually reaches the edge of the forest, leading into the village of Luceti itself. Seeing this area made her pause. Did she miss her brother somehow? The other thing was that this village is oddly familiar to her.]
This place...haven't I seen it before?
Karla
[Except, he was significantly less familiar with the forest than Karla and had actually been trying to find his way out for the last few hours. But, at long last, he had come upon a village! ...And it was one he didn't recognize at all. Great.]
[But, hey! There was also somebody standing outside of the village. Maybe she knew something?]
Hey, beautiful, do you happen to know where this place is?
[Look at this face? Can you resist this face?]

Raava
Her wings are on her back, sitting just below the broadest part of her 'head' and are the same white as the rest of her. They are also just as transparent, blending into her body like they had always been there.]]
A
[This was neither the spirit world, nor the material world she was familiar with. It held similarities, but it was obvious after only a few minutes that whatever world she was in was not the one she had been in shortly before. She could sense both spirits and humans nearby. The spirits were, for the most part, harder to pin down than they should be. So she sought out the humans and the first one she came upon, she towered over, demanding answers.]
You. Tell me where I am and how I got here.
[The wings, so far, went unnoticed.]
B
[Raava had taken what answers she'd gotten thus far for granted and had not paid as much attention as she should have when traveling through the forest. A quick turn around a tree ended with her crying out as one of the new wings she was only vaguely aware of slammed into a branch. They were far more fragile than the rest of her and she had not been prepared for the pain. It was not a new sensation, she'd been hurt many times before (usually by Vaatu), but it was sudden and unexpected and took the wind out of her.
That had been one day ago.
And now she was gliding slowly back toward the human settlement, feeling embarrassed and agitated because she had no idea how to reset the bone that was, now, obviously broken. She was not a fan of the continued ache and knew of little other options than to request aid from one of the lesser mortals. She could do it, but she didn't like it.]
B
She's left speechless by the sheer beauty of the spirit. That is, until she notices the obviously broken wing. The books are dropped instantly and her hands go to her mouth as she gasps.]
You're hurt! Please, let me help you.
[So she rushes over to Raava, intent on helping should the spirit let her.]

Still, Jinora has to look up in order to speak to Raava properly.]
Raava? This world is called Luceti and as far as anyone knows it is responsible for bringing us here.
[Somehow, showing the guide to the spirit wasn't like reading books with Wan Shi Tong. Picturing Raava attempting to read it on the journals just wasn't something she could imagine.]

Hey, listen, weird glowing fish thing.
[What was this thing, anyway?]
I'd love to help you out. Really, I would! But I'm not sure where this is either, so I think'd be best if we each tried to find our own answers, ya?

[As far as Zelos was concerned, the whole "mandatory wings" thing was a giant pain in the ass. He hadn't even wanted the first pair, and now he was stuck with two.]
[To top it off, the second pair, or the ones that had suddenly grown in when he'd showed up in this hell hole, were pretty damn fragile. All it had taken was one bear encounter gone wrong, and suddenly the wing was all but useless. It hurt like hell, too.]
[He's still stuck in the middle of the forest, and the most he can really do at this point is wobble, so he'll try to flag down the first person he sees.]
Hey, a little help here?
[Option 2 - Good Spirits!]
[If it's after dark, there's only one place that Zelos is likely to be - Good Spirits.]
[He's taken a seat at the counter, and is chatting up all of the wonderful hunnies around him. What will your character do? Join in the conversation? Interrupt? Punch Zelos in the face? The possibilities are endless.]
[Option 3 - Choose Your Own Adventure!]
[Anything is okay!]
Option 2!
Either way, after she unloads a plate of food and beverage to another table of patrons, she stops by Zelos' table with a smile and her pad of paper.]
Yo, ready to order?

Cless Alvein | Tales of Phantasia
[ Some crazy event is going on right about now and he's fighting viciously, cutting through everything that is lashing at him like it's nobody's business. He's obviously found his sword and is looking like he is not having too much of an issue. But really... he can't believe that for some reason he's getting attacked by plants. ]
This place is starting to really get on my nerves!
Scenario B
[ He just bumped his wings somehow into something hard enough that he is lying against the wall of some house, squeezing his eyes in pain. ]
Ow...why, why, why?
Scenario C
[ Cless has just gotten up early for those practicing strikes, swinging his blade around until he is working up a sweat and then some. He's probably yelling or something a few times with every strike. Also, it's really, really early in the morning. He's probably accidentally disturbing someone. ]
Scenario D
[ The blond swordsman is tired after a bit of some miscellaneous strenuous events and he does mean to go to where he lives, he does. But he probably ends up collapsing in front of someone else's door and then falls asleep there by accident because he overdid it. Just five more minutes. ]
