[Someone sounds very, very annoyed.]
These "Malnosso" who stock your shops are idiots. Not that I'm surprised at this point. Why should they be any more intelligent than most of the people in power in a "normal" society?
I've found cigarettes. Your hospital is wonderfully supplied. Stimulants, depressants... Everything one could possibly want. And in so many forms: liquids with needles, pills.
And yet. Not one single nicotine patch in this entire place.
Sets a bad example, doesn't it? So much temptation everywhere... and absolutely no legal deterrents.
Player Name: Lynn
Are you new?: Nope!
Character Name: Sherlock Holmes
Character Fandom: BBC's Sherlock

[and she means it. Because avoidance truly is an answer of a kind. She's still not recommending the shops, though. Unlike many, she isn't quick to write off nicotine patches as necessarily harmless]

If you happen to come across any, deliver them to Community House Two, Room Twenty-One. See them placed in the hands of either Doctor John Watson or Sherlock Holmes.
[...This is what most people would call "asking for a favour." From Sherlock, it comes like an order.]

[now she does sound a bit amused. Unfortunately for Sherlock, she hasn't really run into anyone she's read about before. She doesn't assume she's talking to the actual Sherlock Holmes. She just figures he's using it as an alias.
Her tone changes though, after that]
You know... This place has it's faults, but if they can't be found, there really are people here who could help with alternatives. Besides raiding the hospital, I mean.

There is not even, as far as my observations go, any sort of inventory record.

[Stephen was certainly a qualified Doctor...but that didn't mean he was familiar enough with modern materials to do a proper inventory]

[which is what she's really picking up on, here. He's insulting the population, yes...but an addict wouldn't risk finding himself cut off from his source. A recovering addict, maybe. But not someone actively trying to enable drug use.

Much as he hated to admit it, the girl had a point. If he'd brought a security and control problem like this to John or Lestrade, it would have resulted in an immediate scolding. Followed by John giving him that look or Lestrade grabbing him by the collar and dragging him away.
Everything here-- from housing to food to these medications-- was free for the taking. He could imagine the abuse that must be rampant here.]
Is anyone in charge of the hospital? You may want to tell them to keep a better watch over their supplies.
[...Since the consulting detective has helped himself to a few bottles and sterile, wrapped needles.
Just in case.]

[she had the feeling Stephen would understand the full import, even if he couldn't identify all the substances that could be abused.]

[All things considered... John would probably really like that. Doing the job he loved, organizing this chaos.
Perhaps he should suggest it to John. Or just mention how poorly the stock was looked after.
Plant the seed and let John think it was his idea. Perfect.]
