Reserves have just opened and apps are right around the corner. But are you still on the fence about any of your would-be characters? Well -- here is your chance to take them out for a spin!

▣ TAG IN or reply to others with characters you would like to test drive for Luceti.
▣ ONLY add top-level comments for characters who are not yet in the game. You're free to reply to others with Luceti characters (because that's half the fun) but remember that the whole point of this meme is for potential characters.
▣ PLEASE do not post duplicates of characters already in Luceti.
▣ GO AHEAD and give us a brief description of your character in the top-level comment, along with one or two possible ways to run into your test-driven character around town.
▣ YOU MAY use these threads for your first person samples on your app -- just make sure that you link threads of a goodly length (i.e., threads with at least ten comments from your character).

Need a little help getting started? Remember, you needn't post here as though your character is still brand-spankin' new. It'll probably be more fun for all involved if this isn't a simple dress rehearsal for showing up. Here are a few scenario ideas:

Okay. So my examples are pretty non-exciting. But they're really just suggestions. I'm POSITIVE you kids can come up with more creative things.

Patty Fleur | Tales of Vesperia

[Patty is, in fact, brand-new to Luceti. So new that she doesn't even know she's in Luceti yet. She woke up somewhere dark and small, which is already confusing enough, as she was sure she went to sleep in a bed. As she gropes around helplessly, she can feel both wood and cloth, but it's not exactly helping her figure out her location. Therefore, she decides to call out loudly.]

Hellooo? Who turned off the lights?! It's darker than a purple squid's ink on a night of the new moon, ya know!

[Unbeknownst to Patty, she is stuck inside a wardrobe. Whose wardrobe is it? It could be anyone's!]

[There's some scratching sounds on the other side of said wood as there's a cat pawing on the other side. A moment later, Patty can probably hear the sound of footsteps getting louder. Alexei stops in front of his wardrobe, puzzled.

Did he just hear someone speak from inside...? It sounded familiar too...]

[She perks up at the sound of that scratching. She has no idea what it is, but... Surely that means someone is out there! The following footsteps only confirm it. She raps her fist against the wood.]

Hellooo? Yuuuriiii? Have you come to save me?

[....Oh, it's her. Yet another one of Yuri's group is here, in his wardrobe. Thanks Luceti. Frankly he can't really leave her in there so, have some light suddenly in your dark place Patty as he opens the wardrobe. Hermes move beside Alexei and look curiously at the little girl who was inside.]

He's not here.

[ps3pirate]

[She recoils at the sudden bright light, covering her eyes with both hands. Yeesh that was unexpected. She was about to make a remark on it when a familiar voice speaks up. A familiar voice that could only belong to one person. But that's... impossible, isn't it?]

A-Alexei! [She'll try and squint up at him anyway, regardless of whether her eyes have adjusted to the light or not.]

Miss Patty Fleur. How nice of this place to decide to drop you in my home. [Meaning, you are totally not welcomed here, but I'll play pleasant anyway. He takes a quick note of her new feather garbs.]

I imagine you must be rather confused as to why and how you got here. [Nevermind, why Alexei's still alive.]

[ps3pirate]

[She pushes herself to her feet instinctively, only to narrowly avoid getting tangled in the clothes hanging above her. Her hand flies to where her pistol would normally be, before she comes to the realization that it isn't there at all. Well, no matter, she still has her dagger-- ... Oh, wait, that's gone too.]

A-aye... [Alexei's right about one thing, there is definitely a lot of confusion right now. Confusion and intimidation, because suddenly coming face to face with Alexei isn't something she expected to ever happen.]

[He smirks as he watches her realize how truly powerless she was right now.]

Well then, what was the last thing you were doing before you decided to show up here?

[Might as well ask a few things before actually answering...that is if he felt like answering her.]

[ps3pirate]

[Powerless or not, Patty is determined to go down with a fight! If... she is indeed going down. Alexei is being suspiciously docile right now. Either way, she scoffs loudly.]

That's none of your business, ya know! You're supposed to be dead as a doornail! [And flat as a flapjack, but that one's a little too morbid. Let's not say that out loud.]

Is that so? Well as you can see for yourself, I am very much alive right now. Unless you would like to believe you've been brought to the afterlife.

[She may have not told him exactly her point, but her being aware of his death gives him some idea of how far along she was]

The afterlife?! [She looks shocked, but only for a moment. Then she shakes it off in the literal sense of the word, as she shakes her head fervently.]

There's no way!

How would you explain this encounter then? [He steps aside while he lives her puzzling, making enough space for Patty to actually get out.]

Now would you mind getting out of there already?

[Someone else is new to-- ... well, all right, not new, but he certainly did just return to Luceti. In fact, quite literally just now. Yuri had gotten lucky for once and had been unceremoniously dumped on his bed in his old room, and didn't quite wake up until he heard someone call out from ... somewhere.

... So just hang on about a solid minute there, Patty - Yuri's trying to figure out stuff and such. Luceti's a bit of a shock to wake up to. But hey, there's a lot of shuffling around now, so ...!

He'll get to you in a minute, really. Maybe. Hopefully.]

[Oooh, sounds! There's someone nearby! Patty tries to feel around some more, pressing her hands up against the wood all around her as if she were a mime trapped in a box.]

Is someone there? I'm not a crab, so let me out of this trap!~

[Gee, everything's really familiar and he's remembering things he shouldn't remember and some girl's in a crab trap or whatever and--

--Wait a minute.]

... Huh?

[That's not a voice he recognizes, and it sounds very young. But unless he was (re)remembering wrong, wasn't this supposed to be his room? It doesn't look like someone else took it over ...

... Well, whatever. That's not as important as the fact that there's some little girl trapped in ... hm. Didn't it come from the wardrobe? Yeah, sounded like it.

So, Yuri will be heading over to the wardrobe and getting that open. Sure, the last thing he wants to deal with right now is some kid he doesn't know, but he wasn't about to just leave them in there.]

[ps3pirate]

[She hears that "Huh?" and she hears the footsteps approaching her. That's why she presses both hands up to the wood, leaning against it to try and hear better. And then... Then the wood swings away from underneath her hands and she loses her balance, toppling face-first to the ground.]

Uwaaaah! [Crash. When she speaks again, it's with a tired voice and her face smushed up against the carpet.] ... That was a shocker, ya know...

[Okay, door is opening way faster than he was trying to open it and a person is tumbling out of wardrobe, time to take a quick step back to avoid getting more tangled up in this mess than he'd like--]

[And ... well. If she's talking like that (or at all), she's probably okay. So, Yuri will take a moment to sigh about this whole situation - really, just when he comes back? This was probably to make up for the easy landing he had - before kneeling down next to Patty.]

I think it's safe to say that shocked both of us. You all right? [-- More important question at hand (especially since his memory of how this sort of thing can just happen at random in Luceti hasn't come back yet).] Actually, how did you even get in there?

[Still a little dazed, Patty slowly starts pushing herself up from the ground. Her back feels a little funny, too.]

Beats me... Could be that the old man's playing a prank, but trapping an innocent young lady is as brutal as-

[She stops talking the moment her eyes move up towards Yuri. ... Yuri isn't wearing a shirt. Yuri isn't wearing a shirt.]

[... Um. Did her batteries run out or something? ... Wait, she just said "old man". But ... that can't mean who he usually associates that with, can it?

Well, whatever. He doesn't lose a thing from asking, and it's not like she's saying anything anyway. Really, what is up with the staring?]

Old man? You're not talking about someone called Raven, are you?

[Just gonna. Ask questions. Half-dazed, in only new feather pants. Maybe he'll put two and two together and realize he should probably wait a little, if only for decency's sake, but waiting is a concept Yuri Lowell has only heard about in folklore or something.]

[Yuri isn't wearing a shirt, Yuri isn't wearing- Oh he's talking again. It takes a few seconds for her attention span to catch up with Yuri's words.]

Uh...? Aye! Our one and only old man! There's no other who would play a prank like this! ...Except maybe Judy.

[First she says she knows Raven, and now she's mentioning Judy? And the way she's talking, it sounds like she knows him too, somehow ...]

... "Our", huh.

[Okay, that settles it. Something is very wrong here. Yuri stands up, quickly glancing over Patty with a small frown - yeah, he's definitely never seen her before today.]

... I don't know how you know the old man and Judy, but aren't you acting a little too familiar with someone you just met?

[She shifts her position so she can sit on her knees, still peering up at Yuri. She frowns a little at his words, though. He's acting pretty weird today.]

Just met? I can understand that you still want to learn more about little old me, but we've been through so much already that I wouldn't call us strangers, ya know!

[trueknight]

[Yuri raises an eyebrow at that. Although, his memory WAS really all over the place right now. Was she someone he met here at one point? She really isn't ringing a single bell in his head so far ...

... Ugh, he hates having to think about things like this.]

I can't say I remember anything like that. [He keeps his tone even when he says that - sure, this is really weird, but she's still a kid. No need to be a jerk about it.] ... But my head's a mess right now, so maybe your name would help.
